MEGARA
"He had plenty of other wealthy families vying for an arrangement between him and one of their daughters, so if he hasn't moved on yet, I'm certain he will soon."
"Moved on?" she repeated. "Oh, dear Belle, do not hold yourself in such low esteem. A woman of your youth and beauty, and considerable patience, would have her choice of any handsome suitor. To the opposite point, your master would have his choice of any fair maiden in this land. You and I both know his standing in our kingdom. So few are found deserving of his attention, much less respect. Your eagerness to sacrifice must have impressed him. Some would say that is an impossible task," she added, giving him a brief glare before returning her attention to Belle.

Rumpelstiltskin rolled his eyes upward and slouched further into his chair, before flinging his feet upon the table. "My highly attuned sense of perception tells me you're aiming a mild insult my way, Megara," he said. "Careful, dearie. Always careful. And poor Belle, must have been very hard to sacrifice..."
He adopted a sudden, high English accent. "Gas-tooon. As it turns out, nobody stares blankly like Gaston."

BELLE
She couldn't help her little smirk at Rumpelstiltskin's words. It's true, she never cared for Gaston and to hear Megara think she put herself in the hands of the Dark One for him and thought so lowly of herself, well, it was something she needed to correct. "I think 'sacrifice' is too strong a word in regards to Gaston. There was never any love between myself and he. I hope he does find someone else to marry, honestly, and I wouldn't fault him if he does. I'm quite content with how things have turned out for me, so far."

"My highly attuned sense of perception tells me you're aiming a mild insult my way, Megara. Careful, dearie. Always careful."
"And what have I left to which you would wish to lay claim, hmm?" she retorted. Knowing it was foolish, and futile, but she'd already lost her freedom, her home and her family. What more was left to wager?
"My apologies, Belle," she said with a sweet smile. "Travel tends to make me tired, and I hope you don't think me ungrateful for your hospitality. I'm sure this dark and cold estate will be all the better for being in your care. Tell me, have you enjoyed exploring the grounds?"

"No need to apologize." She smiles reassuringly at Meg. "It's understandable. But, um, no I haven't had that pleasure yet. I've only kept to the castle so far. There's so much to do in here so far as caretaking goes, that I haven't had much time to explore."

Rumpelstiltskin smiled. "The future, dearie. The future."
"It's understandable. But, um, no I haven't had that pleasure yet. I've only kept to the castle so far. There's so much to do in here so far as caretaking goes, that I haven't had much time to explore."

"Well, Belle, It sounds as if you'll have all the time in the world to become well-acquainted with these walls," she observed, feeling that sense of dread overcome her curiosity. "Alas, my time within them is limited. If your master wishes to speak business with me, I think we should both prefer a private audience."

"Right, well, uh, I'll just get back to my work." She got up and put the stool back where it belonged, then made to leave before stopping and turning back around. "Sorry, um, tapestry needle," she addressed Rumpelstiltskin, "do you have one?"

"Sorry, um, tapestry needle, do you have one?"
Rumpelstiltskin looked at her, not moving. "The second room on the second floor," he said at last. "Touch nothing but the needle. Understood? Good."
He turned his head in Cora's direction. "Now, dearie. We have further business."

**Rumpelstiltskin entered the Great Hall**
An unsatisfied sigh left his lips, as he entered the hall. It has been one day ago, since Rumpel leaded Belle to the tower, the place which he had forbidden to her always before. He just wanted to do her a favour by let her see his father in the magic mirror. And what in the end he did? Shouting at her, verbal throwing her out the tower. With slowly steps Rumpelstiltskin headed to the spinning wheel. It always had a reasuring effect to him. Helped him to forget. While he was spinning some straw to gold, Rumpel was wondering about where Belle could be. She was late for serving his breakfast.

Belle walked out of her bedroom and stopped outside the Great Hall of this castle. She wasn't sure whether Rumpel would still be mad at her for what happened in the tower. Belle knew that he was trying to be nice when allowing her to see his father and she had invaded his privacy, she should've just left it.
Belle peeked in the window of the door and saw Rumpel spinning straw on his wheel again. Belle wasn't sure if it was safe, but, knew that she was due to go in there to make his breakfast. Belle entered the Hall and smiled "Morning" Belle said, still nervous about her welcome.

"Morning"
Rumpelstiltskin suddenly looked up from the wheel, as he heard Belle's welcome. He noticed her nervousness. "Good... morning.", he answered, with the look back at the wheel. He slowly continued spinning. Actually it was more like thoughtfully rolling the wheel. After a little while, he again looked up at Belle. "Did we miss out the breakfast by oversleeping, deary?", he suddenly asked, breaking through the silence. Rumpel gave her a severe look. Apologies just were not his style.

Belle looked at Rumpel losing her nerves once she saw he wasn't as angry anymore. Belle smiled slightly as she saw Rumpel spinning the wheel gently. Belle stepped back as Rumpel began to talk to her, "Um, no. I was just on my way to make it now" Belle said, as she turned towards the kitchen. "Spinning straw again?" Belle asked as she continued to walk towards the kitchen while looking at Rumpel.

"Um, no. I was just on my way to make it now"
Rumpelstiltskin got up the chair, rolling the wheel just another time, as he approached Belle. She already turned around towards the kitchen.
"Spinning straw again?", she asked, looking back at him.
"That is one of those things, I have a gift for.", he gave back with an implied smile. It was everything he had learned when he was a boy. When his father lied at him again. But he don't wanted to think about his father anymore. Wordless he followed Belle towards the kitchen, unsure if he should say something else about the last day or not.

Stephan
***enters from another world***
He feels the jolt of portal travel and wakes with a start. He jumps to his feet ready to fight against who he assumes will be there only to find himself in a large empty room. He frowns, looking down at his plain brown clothes (he was going to change before the battle of course) and checking himself over. He has his dark sword and dark orb, but besides those and the clothes on his back he has nothing. He frowns, realizing that this is his enemies’ way of getting rid of him before the battle. Oh well, can’t dwell on that. He needs to find a way back but first he needs to see where he is. Different worlds can be dangerous and he can’t get caught unawares or he may never get back.
His eyes sweep the room and land on the large table, the spinning wheel, and several things on pedestals that tingle oddly. Magic then, but unlike what he’s used to. He frowns again, realizing he is way out of his depth here. Though on the plus side the person whose room he accidentally invaded will probably know nothing of his fighting style and magic either. He can hope at least. Still, maybe he won’t have to face the owner. He makes for the large double doors, ready to get out of here. If he’s lucky he won’t be spotted until he’s off the property. But he’s never been lucky. There’s a first time for everything, right? He can at least hope that he’ll make it out alright. At the very least it’s worth a try.

**Rumpelstiltskin enters from outside**
With a powerful swing the large double doors opened, untouched from Rumpelstiltskin's hands, only directed by his magic. He loved using magic even for trivial things like open the doors. Probably the reason was some kind of showing the force and the power he wasn't able to use, before he became the Dark One.
Rumpelstiltskin just planned heading to his wheel to spin some straw into gold, as he abruptly stopped. "Who the hell are you?", Rumpel asked with raised hands and his usual accompanying gestures. "I don't remember to have called out for a tea party.", he added with a high-pitched tone in his voice. Belle..., was the first thought came into his mind. The Dark One's creepy yellow eyes were flashing at the stranger, waiting for an answer, and above all seriously curious about it.

The doors swing open, seemingly of their own accord. Yep, magic works differently here. And he’s also in big trouble. He’s totally trespassing and the owner of all these magical items probably won’t believe that he’s here on accident. A man strolls through the doors and shock floods him. Odd skin, reptilian eyes, rotting teeth, the oddest outfit he’s ever laid eyes on… he is out of his depth. "Who the hell are you?" the man asks as he does odd gestures. "I don't remember to have called out for a tea party.” The high pitch of his voice throws him off a bit but regains his composure quickly. He’ll need to keep ahead of everything if he wants to make it back.
“You didn’t,” he assures the man even though he knows it was just a joke. “I don’t know if you’ll believe me, but I’m here but accident. My enemies sent me through a magic portal and I ended up here. So sorry for the inconvenience.” There. Hopefully the odd looking man will let him go now. There is of course the high possibility that the sorcerer will think he’s lying, but there is nothing he can do about that. So he waits and watches the man before him to see what he will say and do next.

“You didn’t,”
A short doubting expression appeared on the Dark One's face, just like he inwardly would ask himself, if the stranger seriously had taken it as a real question.
“I don’t know if you’ll believe me, but I’m here but accident. My enemies sent me through a magic portal and I ended up here. So sorry for the inconvenience.”, the stranger lastly continued. Your enemies really seem to hate you, when they sent you to the Dark One..., Rumpel thought with a nasty grin. For a moment he just watched the man urgently, who indeed didn't seem to know where he was nor who he was standing in front of. Sometimes this was an advantage. At least if Rumpel would be interested in this gatecrasher in front of him. But fact was - he wasn't. "Well, I don't like uninvited guests prying around in my house. I don't like guests at all.", he said a little more threatening, but still with the nasty grin in the corner of his lips. Shall the stranger choose if he takes it as a joke or not...

"Well, I don't like uninvited guests prying around in my house. I don't like guests at all." The man stares at him, watching to see what he does. Stephan feels like a mouse caught by a cat, trying to decide whether to flee to the left or the right. The man is smiling a bit which means it could be a joke, but the glint in his eyes gives away the fact that he is indeed a predator. This sorcerer is a predator and Stephan is caught on the predator’s home turf. He needs to play this safely.
“Who does?” he questions in an amicable tone as he resists the urge to grip the hilt of his sword tighter. If he did that the man could take that as a sign of attack or a sign of fear and Stephan doesn’t want to show either. “So you know, I could just be on my way. You’d have no guests then.” Still, he makes no move to leave. The man is a predator and it all depends on his current mood. If he’s feeling nice he might just let Stephan walk but if he’s bored he will want to play. Stephan has to watch for that. He just hopes the sorcerer doesn’t pick up on his undoubtedly different magical signal. If he does he’ll get curious and if he’s curious he won’t let Stephan leave. He might just get out of this without trouble yet if the man is in the right mood. He doubts it, but he can hope so he does. Fervently. He never has liked being caught by predators.

Rumpelstiltskin saw the unease in the stranger's eyes - and he enjoyed it.
“Who does?”, the man answered with a rhetorical question. Hm, good move, Rumpel thought inwardly impressed. “So you know, I could just be on my way. You’d have no guests then.”
The Dark One's grin was growing bigger. "That would be the easiest conclusion for both of us, wouldn't it?", he replied with a question, again veiled, if he was friend or foe. He loved these kind of games, even if he seriously didn't appreciated guests in his castle. He had to call Belle out on this later. He had no idea how the girl managed to bring this guy here, but this was going too far. She was his cleaner and no friend, who was allowed to invite people for a tea party... "But enough of this chitchat.", Rumpel suddenly said more seriously, let the grin die, and approached the trapped little mouse in front of him. "Why are you really here, dearie? Searching for something in the Dark One's castle, aren't you?" His look became strict. Of course the stranger was searching for something. It was improbable but not impossible that someone heard about the dagger. And when it came to the dagger, all the fun was gone.

"That would be the easiest conclusion for both of us, wouldn't it?" The man is still toying with him and Stephan is starting to think he isn’t going to be able to just walk out of here. He doesn’t want to have to get into a fight, but it’s starting to look like this man isn’t going to let him go. "But enough of this chitchat." And suddenly all playfulness is gone as the sorcerer approaches him. Fear tugs at him but he pushes it back a bit because fear isn’t going to help him at the moment. "Why are you really here, dearie? Searching for something in the Dark One's castle, aren't you?" Well, it looks like the man doesn’t believe one word he’s said. This isn’t going well at all. But the statement gave him some information. The man before him is apparently known as Dark One and he is obviously hiding something in here he is afraid of people finding. None of that instills confidence in him. You don’t get a name like Dark One by passing out cookies. Though actually he could possibly use this.
“Not searching for something,” he informs the sorcerer, easily letting his fear fall behind as he falls back into the familiar game he’s played so often. “I was actually searching for someone. I confess I’ve been longing to meet you Dark One. You see, back home I am called Master of Evil and I thought we could both learn from each other.” Okay, so he really has no idea who the man is. He doubts Dark One would believe him if he kept insisting on the truth. Besides, he really is called Master of Evil. He really isn’t sure if he’ll be believed or how this sorcerer will take it if he does believe, but it was the only thing he could think of on a short notice. This better work because if it doesn’t Stephan has the feeling that he’s going to have to fight his way out of here and that is not something he is looking forward to.

“Not searching for something,”, Rumpelstiltskin heard the words, which smoothened the lines of worry, which had appeared on his face for just a little moment. So, this man didn't know anything about the dagger. But then why was he prying around here, while Rumpel has been outside. And the other question was, how the hell did he came in here... “I was actually searching for someone. I confess I’ve been longing to meet you Dark One. You see, back home I am called Master of Evil and I thought we could both learn from each other.”
Rumpel suddenly let out a loud impish giggle. He was standing only some steps away from the stranger by now. "So what shall I learn from the Master of Evil?" The last words he was pronouncing like something absolutely ridiculous, making gestures with his hands withal. "Maybe how to break in someone's house without knowing who the owner is, telling lies to not look like a mouse walked into a trap, what actually is the Master of Evil seems to be right now?" Rumpelstiltskin playfully moved his forefinger to his lips, as he would have to think about something. "Well... no. I'm not interested."

Stephan
The sorcerer lets out a high creepy giggle as he gets even closer and Stephan knows this isn’t going to end well at all. "So what shall I learn from the Master of Evil?" The guy is totally not taking him seriously. Not that Stephan really thinks himself a master of evil. It’s just what the people called him. "Maybe how to break in someone's house without knowing who the owner is, telling lies to not look like a mouse walked into a trap, what actually is the Master of Evil seems to be right now." Yep, Dark One totally caught him on this one. His brain works quickly as he tries to come up with a way to get out of this. Nothing comes to mind. The truth didn’t work, half-truths aren’t working, and the man in front of him is getting more dangerous by the second. The man is back to being playful, moving a finger to his lips as he pretends to think. "Well... no. I'm not interested."
“Aw man,” he says, pretending to be upset at the news as he works to not get back in a corner. He steps forward himself and lets his hand fall casually to the hilt of his sword. A fight is going to happen unless he gets insanely lucky and judging by his current string of luck a fight is going to happen. He moves to step past the man, all senses on alert as he prepares for a magical attack. “Perhaps some other time,” he says, keeping his voice light. He’s done his best to avoid confrontation but it looks like it’s about to happen. All he can do now is hope that he’s a match for the powerful sorcerer because if he’s not he will probably wind up dead and that is something no one can afford.

“Aw man,”, the man in front of him sighed, a little too much theatric to look the part. Rumpel's face didn't change, while he watched the man from the corner of his eyes, who was moving his hand slowly to the hilt of his sword. So he really had no idea, who the Dark One was. This could going to get interesting... “Perhaps some other time,”, the man said, already moved to step past him.
A short giggle, this time more sounding like an inner chuckle, escaped the Dark One's lips, before the large double doors closed with a start, right in front of the mouse. For one moment they were standing back to back, both in silence, as Rumpel turned around with one sweeping move. "I said I'm not interested, not that we're ready here, dearie.", he raised the word, an evil grin playing around his lips. "I don't like people to know where I live. Have to keep the fan mail at bay, you know.", he added a joke, before getting back to the point, again started to approach the man. "So there are two options. One is", Rumpel raised one finger to underline his words. "we let the trap snap shut, before the mouse carries the cheese out into the world. Second is", Another finger of his hand raised up. "we make a deal, so that the trap setter gets something instead of the dead mouse's body. Now choose." Rumpel watched the man in front of him urgently, waiting for an answer, inwardly amused about this little game.

Stephan
What finally comes is a chuckle as the doors snap closed in front of him. He is now well and truly trapped. He stands there frozen for a minute before slowly turning as Dark One starts to speak again. "I said I'm not interested, not that we're ready here, dearie." The man smiles evilly and Stephan feels his heart drop a bit. "I don't like people to know where I live. Have to keep the fan mail at bay, you know." Great. Just being here is apparently enough to get him killed. He unconsciously grips his sword tighter. "So there are two options. One is we let the trap snap shut, before the mouse carries the cheese out into the world. Second is we make a deal, so that the trap setter gets something instead of the dead mouse's body. Now choose." The sorcerer is enjoying this, using theatrical hand motions to drive home his point. The implications are clear. If he doesn’t do as the man asks the man is going to kill him. Or well, try to kill him. Stephan really doesn’t like that option.
“What kind of deal?” he questions. He’s perfectly alright making certain deals, but he needs to know what he’s getting into before he agrees to anything. After all, he could still choose to fight the man before him. He has the feeling his fighting style is unique here and that might just throw off the sorcerer enough for him to be able to escape. That’s not his favorite option though so he waits to see what the man has in mind.

“What kind of deal?”
Rumpelstiltskin's corners of his mouth raised again. They always choose the deal instead of the confrontation. At least, after they tried... He made one more step in the stranger's direction, as he suddenly halted. The amusement changed into wondrousness. There was some kind of aura covering this man. A magic aura. Magic wasn't that rare in these land, but this was different from all he had sense before. Rumpel remembered the man's story from before, about was sent through a magic portal. Could it be that he was right and came from one of the other worlds? So from which one? Actually it didn't mind, as it couldn't be the world his son had disappeared to anyway. There was no magic at all. No portals to get out of there. The thoughtful expression on the Dark One's face suddenly contained something like pain, which however disappeared as fast as it appeared, when their eyes met again. And so the dark sparkle came back to his reptilian eyes.
"First of all", Rumpel lastly raised the voice again. "you'll tell me who sent you here." The stranger had mentioned enemies who sent him through the portal, Rumpel remembered. If there was a portal which led into his house, he had to know. But this information will be for free. Maybe the man in front of him, surrounded by unknown magic, had something better than informations for the deal. He was setting the terms anyway. His house - his rules. Well, he would even if it wasn't his house. A childish joy appeared in his eyes, while waiting for an answer for free.

Stephan
The sorcerer smiles as he steps forward again. But he stops short and suddenly Stephan knows the sorcerer has to have sensed his magic. He’s not sure how to feel about that but he’s fairly certain that it isn’t a good thing. As the man regards him he sees a brief flash of… something. There is something deeper than the predator buried beneath this guy just like almost every person Stephan has run across and the brief look has him curious. But just as soon as it appeared it’s gone and Dark One gets an evil look as he studies Stephan. "First of all you'll tell me who sent you here." He frowns. First of all. He doesn’t like the sound of that, and he definitely doesn’t like the childish glee that the man exhibits as he awaits Stephan’s answer.
“There is only so much I’ll do for one deal,” he responds, a serious note in his voice. He won’t be bullied into doing too much, though he sees no real harm in answering this question. “However, I already told you who sent me here. My enemies.” The sorcerer probably wants specifics but Stephan isn’t just going to hand them up on a silver platter. That will only encourage Dark One to ask him more things and make Stephan look desperate to please. No, the time for trying to slip out of this without confrontation is over and here is where Stephan will make his stand. Here is where he will be the strong leader he’s learned to be because anything less would put him at a disadvantage. He’s shown his opponent he is wise to his tricks. Now he just has to see how the man will respond.

“There is only so much I’ll do for one deal,”
Yah yah, play the calm one, dearie. I've the hand on the tiller anyway., Rumpel thought, still the childish joy in his eyes.
“However, I already told you who sent me here. My enemies.”
Rumpel inwardly rolled his eyes, but stayed unfazed to the outside. He didn't like when someone was wasting his time. But he also perceived the obstinacy of his opponent. Fine., he thought with clenched teeth behind closed lips, keeping up the unfazed face.
"Do you have any useful abilities?", Rumpel suddenly asked, let his voice sounding casually.
