And her feeling didn't deceived her. But how could she guess for which atrocities he really was capable of?
"Wh...what is your price?"
An elongated "Hmmmmm" paired with a satisfied smile followed her question. Rumpelstiltskin made a fast move with his hand and then all of a sudden a scroll of parchment appeared in it. "Let me quickly recite the boring terms to you.", Rumpel said, swaying his head, while he had a close look at the contract. "Blah blah blah... oh there!", he suddenly exclaimed, pointing on the scroll. Out from the corner of his eye he was observing Red's reaction. "Do you possibly know someone called Snow White, dearie?", Rumpelstiltskin asked as casual as possible, looking up to Red again. Of course she didn't know someone called Snow White, at least not in aware of it.

The pounding in her chest continued as she watched him make the scroll appear, her nerves rising as she suddenly gave a cautious glance over her shoulder. To her satisfaction, neither Rose or Mary had followed her. If she wanted to sell her soul for the chance at normality, that was her business. She couldn't get the other two involved.
"Do you possibly know someone called Snow White, dearie?"
Her brow crinkled in confusion. There was something vaguely familiar about the name but she had never met anyone who had gone by it. What was the imp getting at? "Snow White? No. No I don't know anybody with that name."

Rumpelstiltskin noticed her hestitation. She would have heard the name before for sure, but would she remember from where? And in addition, would she mind to accept the condition of the deal, when she was probably sure to never meet the princess? Of course not...
"Snow White? No. No I don't know anybody with that name."
"Fantabulous!", he suddenly spat out in a highvoiced tone, following seamlessly her last word. "Then you seem to be lucky not having to pay a price... for now." Rumpelstiltskin came a little closer one more time, lowering his voice. "But...", he added with a raised finger right in front of her eyes. "If you ever should know that Snow White person, dearie, you will send her to me one day." His raised finger pointed at his own chest to underline the words. He was pretty sure, that Red wouldn't mind about this for now, when she sees a possibility to solve her monster problem. "Just sign here...", he added in his usual ludically voice, while he let a golden quill appear in his free hand. "...if you agree with it." His big creepy eyes were watching her urgently, as he hold the quill out to Red.

"Just sign here...", "...if you agree with it."
Before she could stop herself by think of the possible repercussions, Red snatched the quill from the scaly hand of the imp and leaned over him as close as she dared. A disconcerting blood red ink was left as she scratched her signature onto the parchment, an outward sign that even if she changed her mind now there would be no undoing the deal. It was a chilling thought.
Once the deed was done she hastily backed away, clouded with doubt. A sudden surge of annoyance battled against her conscience. Why should she feel concern for someone she hadn't even met? Peter, the hunting party - she knew those men. She knew their families. If the sacrifice of this one unknown would protect those closest to her - would protect the hundreds of others that the wolf might harm - the she had no other choice. Still her pulse quickened and her eyes rose back up to the imp's face. She had to know, even if it was now far too late to change the outcome. "Will she..." Her voice faltered around the lump that had formed in her throat. She swallowed hard but it did little to dislodged the growing anxiety. "This Snow White- are you going to hurt her?"

Outwardly his face was showing just a satisfied smile, but inwardly it was radiant with joy, when he watched the unaware woman signing the contract. This deal would bring him one step closer to his goal. Back to his son. Everything what was worth to live threehundred years.
Right that moment she has finished doing her sign, the quill in her hand disappeared in a golden dust. The contract in Rumpelstiltskin's hand rolled up on itself and with a grin he let it disappear, too. His big eyes fixed Red, who hastily backed away. For the split of a second he felt the urge to blurt out the truth about Mary. Her face when she finds out would be priceless for sure. But... Nah, not yet. One day she will know her little secret anyway. And there will come a time, when she remembers their deal.
"Will she...", suddenly her voice broke into his thoughts. The joy on his face disappeared for a moment. "This Snow White- are you going to hurt her?"
"That's none of your business.", he responded with a hiss. But then the devilish smile came back to his lips. "You don't have to bring her bounded in chains... if that answer your question."

Rose watched as Mary prepared camp, helping with what she could and observing and listening when Mary had to show her how something was done. She absorbed what she could but was distracted with half her attention on her worry over Red. The light was beginning to fade and she had yet to return. They both knew that Red's purpose for leaving was not to collect firewood. There had been plenty right here in this clearing to start a fire, Rose noted, as Mary was hunched toward the pile, breathing life into the start of flames.
Snow looked up to see Rose staring once again over her shoulder in the direction Red had disappeared to. She'd also noted the amount of time that had passed. "I think she's had enough time to collect firewood," she said in amusement, attempting to ease Rose's tension. "I'll go and find her."
"No, let me." Rose wanted a private word with Red to be sure she was alright. She might not open up to what was troubling her if outnumbered or in the presence of someone she'd only just met.
Snow looked at her wearily. "I'm not sure that's a good idea. It can be dangerous out there."
Rose took in their surroundings and raised an eyebrow. "More dangerous than sitting in a clearing on my own?"
Snow chuckled. "Good point. See, you're learning already," she said with a grin. She could tell Rose wanted a few private minutes with Red. "Go on then but don't be too long."
Rose couldn't help but grin, proud of herself for the small step toward learning to survive in the wild. "I won't," she said, pulling her hood over her head.
She disappeared into the forest, keeping her face toward the ground, both to watch her footing and to conceal her face, should she happen across anyone. A cool breeze came her direction carrying with it the faint sound of a familiar voice. She headed toward it, giving a sigh of relief when she finally spotted the red of the back of Red's cape.
"There you are," Rose smiled, pulling back her hood as she stepped from around a tree. Her smile faded as too late, she realized there was another. A stranger. Rose instinctively ducked behind the tree next to her and immediately felt foolish. Darn her aunts for ingraining her with this instinct to hide from strangers. She peaked from around the tree, looking and feeling rather sheepish.

"That's none of your business." "You don't have to bring her bounded in chains... if that answer your question."
Red barely had time to think about Rumpelstiltskin's response before another, horrifyingly familiar voice broke into their conversation.
"There you are,"
She didn't need to see the girl's face to know who had stumbled into the clearing and made all of this more complicated. Immediately, Red felt shame creeping up into her cheeks at the deal she had struck. Rose couldn't know the selfish decision she made but she still had to receive her end of the bargain. Turning slightly over her shoulder, she tried to send the girl a reassuring look, "It's okay. Go back to camp and I'll meet you there in a few minutes."
Silently, Red hoped that it would work. That Rose would go back, that Rumpelstiltskin wouldn't blow the whistle on her deal just to see her squirm. All she could do now was wait.

"There you are,"
Rumpelstiltskin turned in the direction the voice came from. Just as he did, the owner disappeared behind a tree. But too late to hide from his eyes. With a knowing grin he gazed at the woman's face, who was peaking from around the tree like a timid fawn.
"It's okay. Go back to camp and I'll meet you there in a few minutes.", Red said to the woman from beside.
"Hello Princess...", Rumpel suddenly welcomed the stranger, whose face actually wasn't that unfamiliar. Indeed he had recognized it instantly. Not only from their earlier meet while getting Regina out of Snow's way. This girl was the one this black fairy wanted to get in her hands so bad. It was only a matter of time before Maleficent would find her, if she keeps on walking around without the protect of magic. What did he care? Well, there was something. And Rumpel had to find a way to prevent that. Then he turned around to Red again and with a theatrical bow he was going to take his leave. "Till we meet again." It wasn't his attention to talk about their deal in the presence of the princess, but he couldn't deny himself to give that kind of a hint about something secretly between them. A last high-pitched giggle left his lips, before he disappeared into a violet coloured fog.
**Rumpelstiltskin left the forest**

Regina watched from her mirror as all of this went down, Regina knew that Snow had made friends with these people in the forest. Regina smirked softly, "Yes, feel safe now. I will find you eventually and your happy ending will be mine" Regina chuckled softly, no matter what she would ruin Snow's happiness, just as she had ruined hers.
Regina chuckled as she saw the imp Rumpelstiltskin talking to Red, she wasn't going to focus on that imp, Snow was what she was interested in. Regina suddenly realised that the woman she was wandering the Forest with. Snow was wandering the Forest with her, the one Maleficent wanted. The one known as Aurora.
Regina would get her to allow her to gain help from Maleficent. Regina would strike a deal and find her, maybe then she could get what she wanted from her, something that could finally take down Snow once and for all. Regina snarled as she continued to watch this scene that gave her the sick feeling in her stomach.

"It's okay. Go back to camp and I'll meet you there in a few minutes."
Red trying to shoo her away as if it wasn't safe only made her resolve to stay stronger. She eyed the stranger whom she realized wasn't entirely a stranger. It was the one who had saved them before. Surely he could be trusted.
"Hello Princess...",
Rose couldn't help but giggle. Playing along with it, she stepped around the tree and curtsied. "Hello again, sir."
"Till we meet again."
Rose blinked at the violet fog that replaced the man as she approached Red. "I like him. He seems a friendly sort." Her amusement was replaced with worry as she took in Red's expression. "What is troubling you, Red?"

Was that it? Was it done? She didn't feel any different but surely, despite his other flaws, Rumpelstiltskin had kept his side of the bargain. With a start, Red realized that she didn't even know exactly what the imp had planned to do. Would she know? The wolf was definitely still there. Would it be easier to control now? Rose's voice broke through her reverie.
"I like him. He seems a friendly sort."
Red just gave her friend a weak smile. Always looking to the bright side, being so naive. Before all this, Red had been just as naive. Thinking that she could defeat the wolf, then that she could save Peter from himself; all without looking at the obvious clues right in front of her. Maybe she was still that naive, believing that Rumpelstiltskin could be of any help. If only she knew-
"What is troubling you, Red?"
Once again Rose had caught her absorbed in her own internal battle. This time, Red pushed her thoughts to the back of her mind. They would never be gone but maybe she could learn to live with them.
"Nothing," she lied, forcing her weak smile to seem more sincere. Rose would see through it. Red wasn't fool enough to think otherwise. The girls had known each other too long to not recognize every smile, every expression. But Red just didn't have the energy left to talk of what weighed heavily on her soul. Not tonight. She drew nearer to her companion, taking care to make sure the red cape was secured tightly, and laid a hand upon her arm. "Let's get back. Mary will be wondering what is keeping us."

"Nothing,"
Of course Rose knew that wasn't the truth and she could see in Red's attempt at a smile that Red knew Rose was not buy it. But they knew each other well and Rose read more into that one-worded answer than anyone else could have. Something, but I don't wish to discuss it. Rose gave her friend a sincere smile of her own. To others, it would merely seem she accepted that answer as truth but the subtle details in Rose's expression and the way she pinned her friend with a gaze, it said something different. I'll leave you to suffer your thoughts and worries alone but for only so long. Rose allowed Red to change the subject.
"Let's get back. Mary will be wondering what is keeping us."
She gave Red's hand upon her arm a squeeze that said everything will be fine before linking her arm through Red's as they headed back to camp.
***NEXT DAY***
After a blessedly uneventful night, the trio followed Mary's lead through the forest. Seeing as her two companions had a lot on their minds, they remained fairly quiet so Rose took it upon herself to help pass the time with retellings from books that had helped to pass her long, lonely days. "Oh, and I was in the middle of a new book. It's about a girl who meets Prince Charming but she didn't discover that it was him 'til chapter three." She gave a dreamy sigh. "I wish I knew--"
The sound of a twig snapping beyond the trees had Mary stop in her tracks and turn to shush them. But Rose had heard it as well and whatever she had been about to say was forgotten. Rose was frozen to the spot as she tried to look beyond the trees. It was quiet. Too quiet. Her eyes went upward to the branches. "The birds aren't singing," she whispered.

It was a beautiful day. Warmer than it had been in quite some time. Red almost felt lighter as the trio made their way in the direction that Mary assured them would offer shelter. Shelter. They had barely been 'out in the world' for two days and already she was anxious to put down roots, find a place where she could belong. Yesterday she would have said it was impossible but now... Just maybe.
When she had awoken that morning, she felt different. Like a great weight had been lifted from her shoulders. At peace for the first time since the truth about her had come out. The wolf was still there. She could feel it, just under the surface and becoming more a part of her every day. And the guilt still sat deep in her soul. She doubted it would ever truly go away. But no longer did she feel a menacing, ferocious creature threatening to overwhelm her at any moment. It was like a growling beast that had been tamed. It was unbelievable yet she saw the difference. Rumpelstiltskin had made good on his word.
Eventually she would have to do the same on her own but for now, she was content to just enjoy the warmth of the sun on her face and the gentle...the soothing tones of Rose's voice going on about something...the swish of the wind and the quick beating of hearts- one, two, three, four... Wait. Four? No, more than that. Red stopped suddenly, her head tilting towards the sky as her ears perked up to catch the sound that only she could hear. Several more heartbeats in addition to those of their own party. Coming closer more quickly than a leisurely stroll through the forest allowed. Like they were on a mission. A hunting party. Red was about to alert her companions when the snap of a branch halted Mary in her steps. Red quickly and quietly closed the distance between them, her eyes darting back and forth to take in the trees surrounding them.
"The birds aren't singing," Rose noted softly, apprehension apparent on her face. Red took another step closer to her, making sure that she was close enough to get between her friend and the approaching intruders if the moment called for it.
"There are six of them," Red said in a low voice, "Six men- they seem to be spreading out. But I don't know..." Her voice trailed off as she made sense of it and a grim understanding settled in. They were the target. "We're being surrounded!"
But it was too late for even as the words came forth, the six men came into view.

Hook
One of the men saw fit to knock down a tree from the sound of it. No matter, the noose was tightening. As his crew cleared the last of the obstacles in their path the three women had nowhere to go. "Good work Smee. I do believe this is our lucky pay day." Each man stood at the ready, hand on their hilt. One of the men nodded at the Captain. "What of the other two?" Killian's gaze traveled over each of the three starting with Rose. "I'd hate to split you up" Jones looked over his own men before turning his eyes back to Red. "We'll just have to take the lot then."

Rose kept pressed close to the other two, her eyes going to the hand that rested on the hilt of the sword. A seemingly casual and non-threatening pose but in a flash, she was sure the sword would be at their throats.
Partially hidden behind Red, she eased her arm into the bag Red carried and reached around for the knife they'd packed for hunting and eating. Her hand closed on the handle and she quickly yanked it free, stepping in front of Red and Mary as she wielded the object. "Leave us be!" she said but after a moment's silence, was met with roaring laughter from all sides. Confused, she looked down and her cheeks reddened in mortification as she slowly pressed back into Red and lowered the hairbrush.

Red tensed as the pirates fell into place around them, readying herself for action when the moment called for it. She'd never seen pirates before, not in her far northern and mostly landlocked village. But from the tales she had heard as a girl and from the looks of the ruffians surrounding them, she was certain that this was going to end badly.
"We'll just have to take the lot then." The one in charge announced, as if they hadn't already been planning it. It was now or never but before Red could make a move, Rose was pushing past her brandishing a small object.
"Leave us be!" A small measure of pride swelled in her chest at Rose's attempt along with a huge helping of concern. Especially when she made out the small item clasped in Rose's palm. The pirates had already seen the error and had broken out into raucous laughter. But their distraction was just she needed.
Hefting the heavy shoulder bag through the air, Red sailed around Rose and hit the closest pirate directly in the face with a satisfying crunch. He'd barely had time to fall before she swung it back around and made contact with the man beside him.
"Go!" The cry was thrown over her should to Rose and Mary. There was no way she was going to be able to escape, that much was clear as she spun back to try to hit a third pirate. Surprise was no longer on her side and he easily evaded it. But if she could keep their attention then maybe the other two had a chance.

Hook
"Go!" The bold woman in Red cried as two of his men went down. The first with a broken nose from the look. Her bag swung back around towards the captain and he sidestepped it while drawling his cutlass. In one single motion the blade exited the sheath and sliced through the neck of her makeshift weapon, the end with its contents spilling harmlessly to the ground. Jones leveled the blade straight at her chest and took a step forward drawing her eyes to the eminent danger.
That was just what he wanted because it allowed another pirate to grab her arms from behind wrapping his across the front of her chest holding her fast. Expecting the remaining two women to bolt he shouted at the pair of men still standing. "Go on and get them!" though Hook's eyes never left those burning through him from beneath that hooded cloak. There was a darkness there he had not expected and it chilled his soul.

Red gasped as the pirate easily cut through the bag, disabling the only weapon she had, and leveled his sword at her in one quick motion. It was a day of firsts for her. First pirate encounter, first day to be held at sword point... She warily eyed the weapon before moving her view to the man himself. Even as one of his goons wrapped his big, hairy arms around her, Red didn't allow her glare at the pirate captain to waver.
"Go on and get them!" Please, please get away. Red urged silently, unable to see her traveling companions. She could only hope that she had provided enough time for them to slip away.
"What do you want with us?" Red snapped at him, not bothering to struggle against the pirate holding her. She knew it would be futile at this point but it didn't mean she had to be cordial to their attackers.

Rose watched in wide-eyed horror as Red launched herself at the ruffians. And then Mary sprang into action as the remaining ruffians closed in on the two of them. Rose had never lifted a hand to anyone. This was the first time she'd even seen fighting and it showed. She grasped her bag in one hand and swung it into the gut of the one that got past Mary, taking him by surprise. When the blow had him leaning forward, most likely thanks to the weight and solidity of the frying pan nestled in it, she gripped the brush and swung it upward at his bowed head. He fell to the ground and red poured from a gash. A gash she had put there, she thought in horror.
"I'm so sorry," automatically tumbled out of her mouth and she almost laughed at the absurdity of it.
"Go!"
She jumped at the authority Red put into that one word and immediately ran. She would be a hindrance and a distraction. Her best bet would be to seek out help. Rose didn't know how to fight. For goodness sake, she'd almost automatically helped the man up. Growing up, her instincts had been formed to good manners, not self defense. Not fighting. What would she need of such things when she was never to leave her cabin and the only people she'd ever interact with were her aunts and the only two outsiders they allowed into her life?
"Go and get them!" she heard the one in charge shout.
Someone grabbed at her cape and her steps momentarily faltered as she reached up to release the tie, feeling it fly off her shoulders as the action caused the ruffian to lose balance. A small victory and a few seconds of time bought but they were sorely outnumbered. She doubted she'd get much further but she would try.

Hook
The captain spared one quick glance at the other two women. The one covering their retreat, clearly a fighter, the second well... just flat out ran. "What do you want with us?" his captive asked. Jones merely shrugged, "Money, love. And perhaps a little companionship. We're not all that bad once you get to know us." Confident his man had a firm hold he lowered his blade and took a step closer, flashing the young woman a suggestive smile.
The other two men chasing the runaways where having some difficulty picking their way through the brush. The lead rounded a tree and froze. Three arrows struck the trunk not inches from his face. He had just snatched one of their cloaks and he hadn't seen a bow but even if he did, three shots? Then the man saw them, reinforcements... Grabbing his partner he ran back towards Killian. "Captain, we have company!"

We stick to the shadows waiting and watching. The men wait for my signal before we attack. My hood is up and my face hidden as I watch like the ruffians like a hawk my eyes darting between them all, weighing and measuring them all. As far as I can tell their leader appears to be the only real threat and I would hate to see what he is capable of when pushed. That is when it happens, the girls fight back, one of them ran, I fire an arrow and that is the signal my men were waiting on before emerging to fight off the ruffians.
I swoop down and fire off three arrows watching them hit their mark perfectly. I use my bow to fight off couple of stragglers, easy work as they seemingly have very little experience in an actual fight. My men fight well as they push back the villains. I make my way forward towards their leader and shoot an arrow dead center between his feet, I draw another arrow from my quiver and pull back the string aiming for him once more. "O' Captain my Captain." I say the taunt slowly hoping he will call of his men and leave without anyone needing to die.

Hook
"Captain we have company!" came the warning but it was not nearly enough notice as the smooth length of yew crashed into the back of the man's head sprawling him out near the pirate captain. Hook's blade was once again at the ready and an arrow landed between his feet. His attention left the woman in Red and he assessed the danger. It seemed his crew had quite spectacularly failed. A group of bowman had pressed in from all sides and it didn't take long for Killian to realize his skills were not enough to even hope for escape.
"O' Captain my Captain." came the taunt. Jones had been in such straits before and he always had a card to play. In this case a hostage in a red cape. "Quite impressive feet you lot accomplished, Bravo. But you best get that weapon out of my face unless you want this girl's blood on your hands." He might leave empty handed but he would be leaving. What lead to be seen was whether or not this rogue would be willing to deal.

Rose could feel one of them on her heels. But then the sound of three swooshes and plunks close behind her, made her glance back. Three arrows in a neat, perfect line were buried in the tree inches from her closest pursuer's face. She stopped and looked around for their source. Suddenly, men materialized from behind trees, bushes, even dropping down from trees and headed in the direction she'd just come.
She started to feel relief but then the events of the past couple days gave her pause.
"Oy, you alright?"
Rose turned toward the two men who approached from behind, wielding her brush. "That depends," she said, eying him suspiciously. "Are you here to help or to take over their job?"
The man held up his hands, an amused grin on his face and the big man next to him. "We're not in the business of terrorizing women. We're honorable thieves. Got ourselves some manners." He gave a quick bow. "Ain't that right, Little John?" he said with a nudge to his companion.
"Little?" she said to herself as she eyed the hulking man before turning back to the other. "Perhaps you can explain to me later how thieves can be honorable," she said impatiently. "I need to see to my friends." She turned and heading quickly back to camp.
"Oy!" he called out, catching up to her. "Probably best you stay here where it's safe."
"No." She trudged on, quickly scooping up her cape and shaking it clean before tying it into place. "I left them only to get help and help is here. I wish to be by their side and assured they are unharmed."
She reached the small clearing and stopped. Men with arrows drawn had circled. Mary was safe, having herself drawn an arrow into her bow but Red was still in danger. Rose stood and watched the scene, feeling utterly helpless.

"Money, love. And perhaps a little companionship. We're not all that bad once you get to know us."
His smile only rewarded by a look of pure disgust. But before Red could tell him which vital body parts any attempt at 'companionship' would cost him, a shout came from one of the pirates behind her. "Captain, we have company!"
Figures emerged from the surrounding wood, appearing from the shadows and dropping out of trees like a bow-toting, rugged cavalry. Mary appeared in her sight, hoisting her own bow in the direction of the remaining assailants and seeming quite comfortable in the presence of these new- with any luck - rescuers. Could it be Robin and his men? As more of them filled in, it was obvious that now the pirates were the ones out numbered.
An arrow flew through the air and pierced the thawing ground at the feet of the pirate captain who had been holding her at sword point. The archer stepped forward, his face completely obscured by a green hood, another arrow already strung and readied to be loosed if given a reason, "O' Captain my Captain."
The buccaneer seemed to be weighing his options but Red did not miss the subtle way that his blade once again rose in her direction. "Quite impressive feet you lot accomplished, Bravo. But you best get that weapon out of my face unless you want this girl's blood on your hands."
She didn't doubt, if pressed, that he would take her life. She would just have to make sure that he didn't get the chance. The pirate holding her was a sturdy man and had her arms tightly pinned to her sides. Even so, she struggled uselessly against him, trying to kick and wriggle her way free before accepting that his firm grip would not budge.
Her heart beating frantically in her chest, she forced herself to calm as she took stock of her surroundings. What could she use? No low hanging branches sat about their heads. The contents of her bag lay at her feet, including the hunting knife Rose had looked for earlier, but it was far from her reach. She dare not risk the use of her best weapon. While the wolf could assuredly take care of the pirates, Red had not yet put Rumpelstiltskin's word to the test. A heavy tension hung in the air as she realized her fate was now left in the hands of this hooded man.

She kicked and fought against the Captain who held her against her will, she had spirit I liked that.
"Quite impressive feet you lot accomplished, Bravo. But you best get that weapon out of my face unless you want this girl's blood on your hands."
Ignoring the pirate for a second I turned my attention to the woman, getting her away from him safely was my primary concern.
"Miss I am going to need you to stay as still as possible for me, if you can do that I promise I will get you out of here."
Everything about the situation from his grip on his sword to the way he talked told me he would kill the girl if he had, I had no intention of letting it get that far. Unfortunately I couldn't let him go to terrorize more people in my woods.
"Unfortunately for you you went and abducted a friend of mine." I give a slight nod towards Miss White. "Now any friend of hers is a friend of mine and I defend my friends to the very end. Do you really think you could slice her by the time my arrow reaches you. My skills with an arrow are unrivaled, back in Sherwood my talents with arrows are a thing of legend. So here is what you are going to do, you are going to sheath your sword, letting the girl go then all of you are going to leave these woods and never return and we shall let you leave without you succumbing to any more harm."
I slide one finger off the bow string to reinforce my authority, I eye my spot in the shoulder where the bones join it to the arm. One false move and will be destroyed by my arrow.

Hook
Killian could not help but roll his eyes in a most obvious manner as the man in the hood went on about his prowess with a bow.
"So here is what you are going to do, you are going to sheath your sword, letting the girl go then all of you are going to leave these woods and never return and we shall let you leave without you succumbing to any more harm."
And then to the point... "Yes, I have no doubt you can pluck your bow with the best of them but I am not about to make a habit of trusting strangers. How about a show of good faith my hooded friend? Lower your weapons first, then we can all just walk away." Hook smiled for their benefit but felt that comforting weight of the grenade concealed just inside his coat, within easy reach should the need arise.

I know I can't trust this pirate and that he more than likely has something up his sleeve whether it be to aid his escape or to just kill us all I couldn't say but whatever his plan is he seems confident in it.
"Men; lower your weapons but not your guard."
I give my command knowing it would be followed to the letter, I keep my bow and arrow pointed straight and true. "Kanve, my men have lowered their weapons but I will not lower this bow till you hand over the woman for you art the son and heir of a mongrel bitch and can not be taken at thou word."

Rose nearly choked on a surprised laugh. She'd never heard such language! They had reached a stalemate. Two stubborn men, each untrusting and unwilling to be the first to give in but she feared the stalemate would escalate into chaos if the men continued to insult one another.
She stepped forward toward Red and the pirate stopping at a midway point between the two, not quite in the line of the hooded man's arrow but just a step away. Scared but with her naive belief that people were generally good, had no idea exactly how big of a risk she was taking. "Please," she pleaded with the pirate. "If you release her, you have a chance. You know harming her will lead to your demise. Let my dear friend go and you and your men can leave here unharmed. I promise you," she added as she stepped in front of the hooded man's shot. She gave the hooded man a pleading look to lower his arrow and then turned the same pleading look toward the pirate as she held out a hand for Red. "Please," she pleaded once more.

Hook
"Kanve, my men have lowered their weapons but I will not lower this bow till you hand over the woman for you art the son and heir of a mongrel bitch and can not be taken at thou word." He saw the stifled expression on his prays companion but he made no attempt to hide his amusement. "Pirate mate, you'd be surprised how often I get that. Loses its sting after a time." Killian was about to fire away, he excelled at this game, but he was surprised.
"Please," the innocent young girl said as she stepped towards the captain. "If you release her, you have a chance. You know harming her will lead to your demise. Let my dear friend go and you and your men can leave here unharmed. I promise you." As the words fell from her lips she stepped into the path of the bow, buying him time. With a grave expression she looked at the hooded man before turning back to face him. Hook knew she was trying to diffuse both parties. She held out her hand for the woman he held captive. "Please," she pleaded.
Jones saw something in those eyes. This woman was out of her element but she acting anyway. She did not freeze. Probably doing her best to find her place in the world outside of whatever village she came from. And there was strength there. He couldn't take his eyes off her, the red cloak all but forgotten. This one reminded him of someone... Despite his better judgement he made up his mind. "Have you ever heard stories of the open sea love? I'd ask if you would be keen to see it for yourself but I suspect... I know the answer." He flicked a glance at the bowman. This man was an honorable sort, Killian could smell it. So predictable. He sheathed his sword but discretely grasped the grenade tied at his hip.

One of the two new girls with Miss White gets in between me and rogue trying to defuse the situation, her niavity could get us all killed even if I understand what she is trying to accomplish. He lowers his sword but I don't buy it for one second, pirates you can't trust them. I let out a sly sigh knowing that I will have to lower my bow and play into his hand, I let out a low growl and lower my bow remaining vigilant.
