*Henry enters from Boston*
Henry frowned as they got closer and closer to his house. He had managed to get Emma back to Storybrooke but now nothing was going according to plan. He had been sure that by the time they drove back from Boston that he would get Emma to believe but it looked like that was going to be a much harder job than he thought. And then Archie totally destroyed Plan B by telling Emma where the Mills' mansion was. Henry never made Plan C so now he had no idea what to do. What would Prince Charming do? Hmm, he didn't have a sword and he couldn't hurt his mom anyway 'cause that's not what good guys did to other good guys. But he did have an even more powerful weapon in his arsenal. The most powerful weapon of kids everywhere. Puppy eyes and begging.
"Please don't make me go back there!"

To say that this birthday hadn't gone according to plan was something of an understatement. Sure, Emma had wished not to be alone on her birthday but she wasn't asking for a pint sized brunette knocking on her door and telling her he was her son. Her son. The words felt weird in her mouth, as if they didn't fit. She was anything but maternal, that's why she had given Henry up when he was born. But now it looked like maybe that hadn't been the right choice? Not if the puppy dog eyes he was turning on her now were any indication. She glanced over at him then looked resolutely back at the road. At least he wasn't spouting conspiracy theories about his towering populated by fairy tale characters anymore.
"The pout won't work on me, kid." she said as she focused on the road, keeping an eye open for the street the doctor had told her the mayor's house was on. The mayor. Of all the possible 'return your kid' scenarios, returning a lost kid to the mayor was bound to be messy. "Besides, I bet your mom is worried sick about you."

"The pout won't work on me, kid."
Henry's pout turned into a full blown sulk as he looked back out the car window.
"Besides, I bet your mom is worried sick about you."
"No she isn't. She probably doesn't even know I'm gone. She's evil." Henry felt a little bit of guilt at the words, she was the woman who raised him. But he had read about all the awful things that she did. How could she care about him when she had hurt so many people and ruined so many families? He sighed as the sign for Mifflin St. came into view.

"No she isn't. She probably doesn't even know I'm gone. She's evil."
Emma looked at Henry, pouting at the window, out of the side of her eye before returning her attention to the road. Having been through her share of foster homes, she got the sentiment of disliking the people raising you. But evil? The mom who adopted him before he was old enough to know better? She couldn't help a tiny feeling of wariness from how convinced he seemed to be of that fact. Her practical side won out, though. Kids were overdramatic, weren't they.
"Evil's a strong word. I get it, I've butted heads with parents before. But just because you fight doesn't mean she isn't calling in the cavalry to find you."
The end of that sentence was uttered with a little trepidation. Being the mayor, she probably wasn't just waiting for the phone to ring. And for being a bail bonds...person, Emma didn't overly love dealing with police.

"Evil's a strong word. I get it, I've butted heads with parents before. But just because you fight doesn't mean she isn't calling in the cavalry to find you."
"But she is! She's the Evil Queen. She doesn't really love me, she just pretends to." Henry turned in his seat so that he was facing Emma. He was disappointed to see that she had the same look on her face as every other adult he had talked about the curse to did. She didn't buy it. She probably thought he was crazy too. That look never bothered Henry because everyone else was under the curse. They wouldn't believe until it was broken and they could all remember who they really were. But for that he really needed Emma in Operation Cobra. Plus, he really wanted his real mom to like him and not think he was nuts.
"I'm not crazy." Although he didn't mean to, there was a little bit of hurt in his voice.

Aidan Quinn
---Aidan arrives from Granny's diner---
Charlotte was standing at the curb waiting to cross the road so Aidan stood next to her, almost ignoring her for a couple of moments before he begun talking "I'm sorry about Marcus in there, I can assure you not everyone in the town is like that. I'm Aidan by the way." Aidan kept his eyes dead ahead for the better part of his sentence, he didn't like the lying, sure it was a half truth but he hated the back handed way he felt he had to deal in regards to representing Mr. Golds interests, Aidan only looked at her as he introduced himself at least he could look at her and be honest with that,

CHARLOTTE
Charlotte kept facing forward, letting the side of her hood hide the flush of embarrassment at the realization that people had witnessed that scene. She just hoped that nobody had been close enough to witness how easily she'd bought into Marcus's nice guy act.
Charlotte sighed as she made up her mind to skip her current opportunity to cross the street and to politely introduce herself in kind. "I'm Charlotte," she said, turning her head slightly for a look at him. Tall, dark, and handsome. If not for the experience she'd just been through with Marcus, she may have gotten butterflies in her stomach just at the sight of him.
"Thank you, Aidan, for the reassurance," she said, looking back to the street for her next opportunity to cross. "I don't mean to be rude, but I'm in a hurry." A car was approaching and it looked as if it'd be clear to cross after it.

The clock still hadn't moved. Henry just didn't understand it. When Emma came back, the final battle should have begun. That's what it said in the book...right? Why didn't it work? What else was he supposed to do? He had a lot of thinking to do about Operation Cobra, so he decided to skip school. He was ahead in all his marks, one day couldn't hurt. But a kid couldn't figure out how to break a curse on an empty stomach so Henry decided to make a pit stop at Granny's for supplies before he went to his castle. Unfortunately, he didn't have his greatest tool- the book. He had left it in Emma's car. She'd never leave town with it and she hadn't been back to return it, so she must be in Storybrooke somewhere. Henry was deep in thought as he ran down the sidewalk to Granny's. So deep in thought that in his hasty turn down the path to the front door of the diner, he didn't notice as his book bag forcefully swung into a woman standing on the curb.

As Charlotte stepped toward the edge of the curb, ready to cross after the approaching car, a shove sent her off balance and she gasped as she found herself falling forward toward the approaching car.

Charlotte had introduced herself to Aidan before politely informing him that she had to leave. Aidan was about to excuse himself as well when he turned and notice she was tipping forward into the path of an oncoming vehicle, Aidan quickly reacted as if on instinct and reached out and grabbed Charlotte's hand and pulled her into him. The car past with a whir and a loud toot as Aidan placed his hands on Charlotte's shoulders. "Well I take it back everyone in this town is out to get you." Aidan said with a slight smile "Are you okay Charlotte?"

Charlotte's head spun as she was still trying to process what happened. In what felt like seconds, she was shoved off balance, falling, pulled out of the path of a moving car, and safely in Aidan's grasp.
"Well I take it back everyone in this town is out to get you." "Are you okay Charlotte?"
A short, nervous laugh escaped before she looked up to meet his eyes. There were those butterflies. "I'm okay. Thank you," she said, looking down at her hands still gripping his shirt. She let go and saw that she'd left creases. "Sorry," she said, trying to smooth out the creases and quickly pulled back her hands, blushing slightly when she realized what she was doing. "I-- I'm sorry," she said again as she nervously pulled the hood of her jacket back into place after it had fallen somewhere during that whirlwind.

"I'm okay. Thank you,""Sorry,""I-- I'm sorry,"
Aidan let out a short laugh as he looked down and realized what Charlotte was apologizing for, "There is no need to be sorry, its just a coat, if I really wanted I could get another one. The important thing is that you are ok, I fear you just might be one of a kind. Are you sure you're okay? I can take you to the hospital if you'd like?" Charlotte appeared to be fine just shaken up Aidan was sad that she had to have a near death experience in order for him to get his in with her but alas it was what it was.

"No, no, that won't be necessary. I'm okay. A little shaken, is all." Charlotte glanced over her shoulder, knowing she was cutting time short and wishing she had more. "I hate to run off but I must. Thank you again, Aidan. I owe you and maybe one day, I can repay you somehow."
The street was thankfully clear and Charlotte jogged across, pausing once she reached the other side to give Aidan another smile of gratitude and a wave. She hurried down the alleyway and around behind the buildings, quickly unlocking the backdoor of the bakery and letting herself in.

**Enters from Mr. Gold's shop**
The sun was blinding after the dim lighting of the pawn shop. Christian gave himself a moment or two and then started walking back in the direction of the Marina. Back to the normal routine. It had been a good day so far though, started off on a different foot and it seemed right. Even the town seemed to reflect his mood. It was more upbeat, happier. All the hustle and bustle brought a smile to his face as Christian went on his way back to work.

**Enters from Granny's Diner**
With a hot cup of coffee and a big chocolate Muffin Vanessa had left Granny's. For God's sake! One moment she has thought the waitress would have a chitchat with that creepy looking guy all day long. Gosh, and then nearly seemed to fell asleep while she poured out the coffee. And they wondered while she never tip them?! Biting off a piece of muffin Vanessa walked down the Mainstreet. She really was lucky her metabolism worked very hard, as she was able to eat whatever she wants without getting fat. As Vanessa reached the city hall with the big clock on its top, she looked upwards. Holy shit! It was almost midday and she had to do so many things before going to her choir practice for her newest musical. When she hasty turned around, she collided with something... or to be more correct... with someone. "Fuck!", she shouted out hysterically, as the cup got out of her hand and landed on the shirt of the man she collided with. But instead of apologizing to the man, she first checked if her dress didn't became stained.

Suddenly his smile was replaced by a twisted grimace as he howled in pain. His shirt was covered with piping hot coffee. "Fuck!" ... That didn't just come out of his mouth did it? Then Christian realized the outburst had come from the young woman whom the beverage had belonged too. She seemed quite distraught despite the fact he was the affected party. Odd, but he must have not been paying attention. "I'm so sorry miss, I didn't see you there! Are you okay? I hope you didn't get any of that on you, it is very hot..."

Phew, what luck! Her dress was unscathed. Suddenly Vanessa felt watched. Huh? Did the guy in front of her talk to her? Even now she realized that he has been covered with the coffee instead of herself. "Oh, I'm really sorry!", she appologized, while stroking over his shirt. Her luck, that it didn't look eminently expensive in case he wanted her to pay it. "The stains..." Well, maybe stains wasn't the right word, as it was completely covered with coffee. "...should be easy to wash out." With a last casual smile Vanessa already got ready to continue her way.

She finally seemed to notice he was there, "Oh, I'm really sorry!" she apologized as she gestured to his shirt. "The stains... should be easy to wash out." With a peculiar look, perhaps a smile, the woman started to continue on her way. "Miss... I didn't catch your name. Did you want to replace that coffee? Granny's is right there. And this isn't too bad," he added sweeping his hand over himself, "It's starting to cool. I might just get one myself." With that last part he remembered the strange music from Gold's shop. He needed one, Christian thought, come to think of it... That strange music. This woman sort of brought that back to him... it couldn't be though... Yes, he definitely needed a boast.

"Miss... I didn't catch your name. Did you want to replace that coffee? Granny's is right there. And this isn't too bad,"
What the?! Was he still talking to her? She had dumped her coffee all over his shirt. Wasn't he angry? By thinking about it, she would have been boiled with anger! With another casual smile she turned around.
"It's starting to cool. I might just get one myself.", the guy added, sweeping his hand over himself.
Vanessa was nearly about to refuse, as she actually had a ton of things to do before her practice and having a chitchat with a milk face definitively didn't belong to it. But well, she anyway needed a new cup of coffee, if she don't wanted to get obnoxious during the practice. Possibly even this guy will pay it. Her smile was broadening a bit, as she responded: "Might as well. I think I can offer up some minutes." With a villainous laugh she added: "Or better say some hours, when I think about the waitress." His indirect question about her name has been ignored for the time being.

"Might as well. I think I can offer up some minutes." With a somewhat unsettling laugh she continued, "Or better say some hours, when I think about the waitress."
Christian smiled and went for the door to Granny's. "I'm glad, here allow me." he opened the door and stepped aside to allow the still nameless woman to pass. Perhaps he needed to take a seat. If he was so out of it, being out on the street was the last place he wanted to be. And truth be told, no one would miss him at work for a while. Things tended to take care of themselves there.

The clock, which has been stuck at 8:15 for as long as anyone can remember, began to move once again promptly at 8:15 p.m.
Several hours pass. It is now the morning after the clock has started.
A few may have noticed the clock moving last night and those close enough may have realized when it chimed the 9 p.m. hour. Others may have learned by word of mouth or not until they next arrived in town.

*Henry and Emma enter from Granny's Diner*
"It's not about me and my mom." Henry explained as they began to walk down the street. "It's about her curse. We have to break it." That was the most important part. Giving back everyone's happy endings. Maybe even his mom would be able to find her's then. She couldn't be the Evil Queen forever. "Luckily I have a plan. Step one- identification. I call it Operation Cobra."
Henry was very proud of the name and his chest puffed up a little in response to telling it to Emma. "Do you like it? I came up with it myself."

*Lily, Archie and Errol enter from Lily's House*
It was a short walk into the heart of town. Much shorter than Lily ever anticipated. Too short. Or maybe too long? Whatever the case, in the period of time it took the trio to get to the edge of the main town thoroughfaire Lily had flip flopped between cartwheel-inducing, extreme excitement and heart racing, mind numbing panic accompanied by a peculiar sense of guilt that she was going against everything her mother had ever taught her. Which she was. What was she doing?
Trying to live her life. There was nothing wrong with trying to live your life, right? Mother would just want her to be happy.
...Right?
She was certain that Archie was beginning to wonder if this had been the right move. Errol probably thought she was a bigger mental case then he ever had. As for herself, well, she had almost turned around no less than a dozen times.
And now they stood at the end of a long street, both sides completely filled with all different shops and stores. A few people milled around despite the early hour. Lily felt her heartbeat pick up, her breaths quickening...
No! Not here and not now. You are going to do this, Lily. And you are going to be fine.
Lily took a long, slow deep breath- something that Archie had taught her to help control the physical symptoms of her anxiety- and laced her fingers with Errol's. She could do this. After a few more deep breaths, she looked over at Archie while managing a smile on her face. "Lead the way, Dr. Hopper."

I was exhausted and all I had to do was watch and follow but Lily was all over the show like an unstoppable force of nature. She would show great excitement at everything, cautiously approach find out it posed no threat then proceeded to find it awesome and rushed off at a million miles an hour to repeat the process. And to top it all off we had only been walking for a couple of minutes, she was like some wily lithe like minx. Though I did have to admit it was kinda cute and I couldn't believe just how amazing and strong she was, still a handful, literally at the moment as she had her hand in mine our fingers intertwined her ungodly strength crushing my hand. But it was ok because Lily is the woman I love, like the only woman I have ever loved, across like a thousand life times if it were its a funny feeling that is hard to describe for sure.
"Ya know I am going to have to put a bell on you now." I said before kissing her head "...Or dress you as a really sexy cat..."

"...Or dress you as a really sexy cat..."
"Errol!" Lily squeaked, elbowing him in the stomach. Well, at least all nervousness was forgotten as her face turned at least six different shades of pink. She glanced over at Archie, hoping that somehow he had missed Errol's embarrassing and, though she was loathe to admit it, stomach-butterfly inducing comment.
Though now, as she waited for Archie to show them the way to his office, the smile on her face was much stronger.

It's not about me and my mom." "It's about her curse. We have to break it."
She gave him a sidelong glance. How did this kid get so wrapped up, so fixated with this? His sheer dogged determination was enough to make her actually wonder on occasion. But then she would snap out of it and feel absolutely foolish for allowing herself to waste time wondering about it when she should be figuring out what went wrong in Henry's life so she could make amends and leave with a clear conscience, knowing that he would grow up happy and stable. Of course she ignored the fact that deep down, she didn't know if she'd be able to walk away from him.
"Luckily I have a plan. Step one- identification. I call it Operation Cobra." "Do you like it? I came up with it myself."
Flabbergasted, she gave him another sidelong glance and saw how proud he was. "Cobra?" she questioned gently. "But that has nothing to do with fairytales."

**Mr. Gold enters from Granny's Diner**
The day has started pretty good. Clock started moving, he had an unusual entertaining conversation at the Diner and above all he felt himself one step further to his son. After 28 years being stuck in a town with no magic and no changes, this already was a big step forward.
So he was heading to his shop now. As he walked up the main street, looking around before crossing the road, someone bumped right into him...
|

Post by Storyteller on Sept 26, 2015 23:33:01 GMT -8
"Oh my gosh, I'm so..." She didn't know how it had happened. One second everything was hunky dory, she was walking down the not so crowded street. The crisp morning air was cool against her face. Errol was making jokes that turned her cheeks pink and then- it happened. She turned to look at her companions, not paying attention to the world in front of her and BAM! She walked into someone.
Okay, maybe she did know how it happened.
But this was not just someone. This was an intimidating, important, professional looking someone... walking with a cane....oh my god. She walked into Mr. Gold. SHE RAN OVER MR. GOLD!
Of all the people she could have nearly killed in the entire town, it had to be the one whom still scared the wits out of her by reputation alone. What would he do to her? Maybe she could run all the way home before he could catch her. He did have a cane. But Errol had said he knew everything. Did he know who she was? Did he know where she lived? Would she have to move?! 'Simmer down, Lily! It's going to be okay. There's a ninety percent chance you're over reacting here. You just bumped into him. You can apologize. You- GAH! You still have his stolen tiara that Errol gave to you two months ago. Why didn't you make him give it back?! What is wrong with you Lily?! DOES HE KNOW?!'
Lily's inner monologue took less than the span of ten seconds in reality so she didn't stand there gaping like a fish for very long, though it seemed an eternity to her. Certain that Mr. Gold would take one look at her and know she was in possession of his pilfered belonging, Lily meekly squeaked out the rest of her apology, "...so sorry."
