Gwen thanked her lucky stars as Tharin chose that moment to finally leave, feeling a little worried as she felt Oliver jump out of the carriage after him. 'What is he at now? I hope he doesn't get himself into a situation.' This worry she brushed aside as Drew finally answered her, her tone still angry but the hurt gone from his face. “But ye still kissed a boy I don know very well,”
A light smile appeared on her face and she almost laughed at Drew's sudden protectiveness. But that would just make the third year angrier and so she refrained. "Ye cain't believe all the gal ye hear. I was with Oliver on the train but I was no more snogging him than yer planning to quit Quidditch. He's jest a friend, is all an' since I 'aven't seen him over the break we were getting caught up on what classes we're taking this term. Tharin barged in, looking for that girl I 'spect, an' he got the wrong idea." Dancing around the truth, Gwen wished that she could tell Drew everything. She didn't like keeping things from him. 'Important thing is, you aren't lying.'
She placed a hand on his shoulder and gave him a good look in the eye, "I promise ye, I wain't go snogging any strange lads baht asking ye first." At that point, the light smile turned into a full out amused grin.
“Hey Gwen,”
Carter's voice calling in from outside the carriage startled her. She hadn't even noticed the younger Ravenclaw leave.
“Oliver tripped.”
Now her brow furrowed. She looked back at her brother, hoping all was now sorted between them. "Let's see what sort of trouble they've gotten themselves into."

He's jest a friend, is all an' since I 'aven't seen him over the break we were getting caught up on what classes we're taking this term. Tharin barged in, looking for that girl I 'spect, an' he got the wrong idea." Oh. So not snogging then. Drew relaxes and then starts to feel a bit sheepish at his reaction. It was kind of over the top. Gwen places a hand on his shoulder and looks him in the eye in a way that lets him know this is serious. "I promise ye, I wain't go snogging any strange lads baht asking ye first." She grins at him then and he can’t help but smile back.
“Well, so long as ye tell me then,” he says. He glances around and sees it’s just him and Gwen in the carriage so he moves forward, hugging his sister with no one there to see and thus no one the wiser.
“Hey Gwen.” He pulls back instantly, afraid Carter might be coming back in. “Oliver tripped.” He glances up at his sister and sees her brow furrow.
"Let's see what sort of trouble they've gotten themselves into." Drew nods in agreement, hopping out of the carriage to go see what’s up with Gwen’s friend.

Gwen's lighthearted mood vanished as she stepped out the carriage door and caught sight of the body laying on the ground. She nearly leapt down, not skipping a beat as she landed to rush over to him. "Oliver?!" His face was red where he must have hit it, the skin already threatening to turn black and blue while blood flowed from his nose down onto his lip. Instantly she reached for her wand, glad she had remember to grab it back up from where she'd dropped it in the carriage. "Episkey," she muttered, pointing her wand at his nose. Once the bones had sorted themselves out, she turned to Carter. "What happened here?"

Carter
Gwen seemed to know what to do, instantly kneeling down next to Oliver and casting a spell to heal him. “What happened here?” she asked as soon as Oliver was alright.
“He tripped, see? His shoelace is untied,” Carter pointed out. She’d probably just missed it because she was so worried about Oliver. But the older boy would be fine now; Gwen was helping him. “I don’t think Tharin noticed; otherwise he would have helped. But Oliver will be fine, right?”

Drew
He stares in shock at the bloodied older boy. "Oliver?!" Gwen asks as she pulls out her wand. "Episkey," she mutters, fixing Oliver’s broken nose. "What happened here?" she asks exactly what Drew was thinking.
“He tripped, see? His shoelace is untied,” “I don’t think Tharin noticed; otherwise he would have helped. But Oliver will be fine, right?”
“Of course he will,” Drew assures his friend instantly. “Gwen is here. She can fix it.”

Oliver
"Oliver?!" the boy heard his name. Faint but still very close. Some muttering and then he felt a rush of pain and relief from his face? That must be it. He was hurt but it was growing less intense by the second. He tried to open his eyes but the world was very blurry. "What happened here?" A female voice, the same as before. A boy's followed, “He tripped, see? His shoelace is untied. I don’t think Tharin noticed; otherwise he would have helped. But Oliver will be fine, right?”
"Tharin!" Oliver shouted as everything came into focus. "I'll teach that no good..." He stopped as he noticed everyone was gathered around him. Drew, Carter, and Gwen all looked down at him with concern. What had happened? He couldn't remember... Did he trip? He had heard that, and seemed to vaguely remember falling... "Where are we? I just..." The Ravenclaw stopped himself. Looking at Gwen he decided he wouldn't add to her stress especially with Drew present. "I meant to catch up with him... To have a word. Wait, is this mine?" With that last remark Oliver wiped his hand across his face to remove the blood trickling from his nose.

“He tripped, see? His shoelace is untied. I don’t think Tharin noticed; otherwise he would have helped. But Oliver will be fine, right?”
Gwen looked doubtful, unconvinced that a trip would have caused the kind of injury she saw blooming on the Ravenclaw's face. Even if it had, Oliver would have hand lacerations or bruising from trying to catch himself. Unless he was already unconscious by the time he made it to the ground...
“Of course he will,” “Gwen is here. She can fix it.” Drew's seemingly unwavering faith in her at this moment, bolstered her spirits. She'd worry about what really happened once Oliver could tell his side of the story.
"Tharin!" "I'll teach that no good..."
Gwen placed a hand on Oliver's chest, gently pushing him to keep him down. "Easy now. Ye need to keep still 'til ye get yer wits back."
"Where are we? I just..." "I meant to catch up with him... To have a word. Wait, is this mine?"
"Just arrived at school. We came out here to find ye on the ground. Yer nose was broken but I took care of that." She glanced over at the boys. They'd already had enough excitement today. She'd speak to Oliver later. "We should get inside. I'll walk ye boys to the Great Hall and then get Oliver to Madame Ellis. She meight even already be at the ceremony."
She turned her attention back to Oliver. "Think ye can walk if we help ye up?"

Oliver
Noticing the untied lace on his shoe that was another thing that just did not add up. He tied one heck of a knot and they never came undone. It was hard enough to get them off himself at the end of the day. But they had all been through enough he had to admit and whatever had happened, the truth of it could wait. They would miss the feast at this rate and as if in agreement his stomach growled slightly. "I think I can manage well enough." Oliver said with an embarrassed smirk and he accepted some help to his feet, after re-securing his shoe that was...

Carter
Thankfully, Oliver woke up then, proving to Carter that he truly would be alright. “Tharin!” “I’ll teach that no good …” Wait, Tharin and Oliver had been fighting? What had happened? Maybe Oliver had taken offense at Tharin mentioning all the snogging that had happened on the train. “Where are we?” he asked, and Carter’s worry returned with full force. Oliver couldn’t be alright if he didn’t even know where they were. “Wait, is that mine?” the older boy questioned as he discovered the blood from his nose.
Luckily, before Carter could panic, Gwen took control of the situation. “Just arrived at school. We came out here to find ye on the ground. Yer nose was broken but I took care of that.” “We should get inside. I’ll walk ye boys to the Great Hall and then get Oliver to Madame Ellis.” Wait, what? Carter wanted to help; he needed to make sure Oliver was alright. Sure, he didn’t know the older boy that well, but he really wanted to help make sure the older student was alright. “Think ye can walk if we help ye up?”
“I think I can manage well enough.”
“Wait, Gwen, can I help you take him to Madame Ellis?” Carter asked. Not only could he make sure Oliver was alright, but then he’d be with an adult, who could better protect him from the girl. Really, it was a benefit for him no matter what, and he really hoped Drew’s sister would let him come.

Drew
“Tharin!” “I’ll teach that no good …” Drew starts back a bit in shock as Oliver comes to. Tharin did this? There’s no way. “Where are we?” Good. Oliver must just be a bit disoriented, that’s all. Tharin hadn’t hurt him. And Oliver would be perfectly fine of course. Gwen would know what to do. “Wait, is that mine?”
Sure enough, Gwen took charge almost instantly. “Just arrived at school. We came out here to find ye on the ground. Yer nose was broken but I took care of that.” Yep. She had. Because his big sister was great with spells. Drew isn’t sure whether to be jealous or proud of that but he’s had too many negative emotions today so he settles on proud. “We should get inside. I’ll walk ye boys to the Great Hall and then get Oliver to Madame Ellis.” That sounds like a reasonable solution. But wait, Drew isn’t ready for Gwen to leave him. “Think ye can walk if we help ye up?”
“I think I can manage well enough.” Oliver may be able to manage but Drew is quickly realizing he can’t.
“Wait, Gwen, can I help you take him to Madame Ellis?” And this is why he’s friends with Carter. He always comes up with the best ideas.
“I’ll help too,” he states.

Oliver "I can manage, really. But thank you all. Whatever happened we'll sort it out later. The other students are all gone, the sorting may have already started." Oliver wiped the blood clear with a tissue he had in his robe and got the young ones moving towards the entrance hall. Falling behind a little he then turned his head to the side. "I think you fixed me up just fine. Gwen, thank you." With a smile and a nod he let her make it ahead of him so she couldn't see the boy favor his head for a moment. Shaking it from side to side the Ravenclaw dismissed his concerns and followed the others into the castle. **Oliver, Drew, Carter, and Gwen move into Hogwarts Entrance Hall**
