The clock, which has been stuck at 8:15 for as long as anyone can remember, began to move once again promptly at 8:15 p.m.
Several hours pass. It is now the morning after the clock has started.
A few may have noticed the clock moving last night and those close enough may have realized when it chimed the 9 p.m. hour. Others may have learned by word of mouth or not until they next arrived in town.

Moe Black
Moe fiddles with the black marble he carries around with him as he puzzles over the new mystery. He heard the clock ding last night. The clock is ticking again. It shouldn’t be possible. No one was fixing it to his knowledge, but broken clocks just don’t fix themselves. And there was something, a sort of tingle in the air. No, it had to be nothing. He must just be so bored that he’s letting his imagination run away with him. He slips the marble into his pocket before grabbing his sun glasses and going outside. He does not liking the bright light of the outdoors and thus always wears sunglasses outside. And actually he wears them inside most buildings too. Other people like light way too much for his liking. He shakes off those thoughts and heads for the diner for breakfast.

***enters from Granny's Dinner***
He hates fires. He hates them with… well a burning passion. If he’s honest with himself he really has no idea why he ever decided to be a firefighter. Most of the time it’s alright, but that’s probably only because most of the time he doesn’t have to put out fires. He really only has to rescue the occasional cat from a tree. But today there was a fire and now he has to go put it out. Someone had seen smoke coming from the toy store so now here he is, rushing a few of his volunteer firefighters into the truck before starting out, sirens blaring. They have everything they’ll need to take care of this situation. Now all he needs to do is get himself mentally prepared. And that is a lot easier said than done.

Gabriella had been up early and walking from business to business, making use of public announcement boards or clearing with the owner the posting of the fliers she'd printed when she'd gotten home late last night. VOLUNTEERS NEEDED
Will's Itty Bitty Wonderworld has suffered minor fire damage. William Robinson has been a kind and giving member of the community. Looking for volunteers who would like to show the same kind and giving spirit by helping with repairs and refurbishment so that he has a home and store to return to when released from hospital.
Costs are covered. Supplies and paints have been purchased. Additional tools and paint supplies would be helpful but it is your dedicated time and work that would be most appreciated.
Work to begin noon Friday and continue at all hours throughout the weekend until completed. Volunteers are welcome to report for whatever times are convenient.
Thank you.
