I gave this ep 3 stars. Definitely entertaining and more chuckles than the norm but nothing that makes it stand out from the rest. It's nice to see a lighter side every now and again and the opening frolicking in the lake but of course it has to all be ruined with something like bloated corpses at the bottom of the lake. I would have been out of that water so far! I enjoyed the funny back and forth with the case snatching. Very entertaining. Speaking of that case, I read an interesting metaphor that I kind of agree with. The case symbolizes Kate. She's like a locked case to everyone and both Sawyer and Jack want to crack her tough exterior; Sawyer in a physical way (with the case, using force by slamming it into rocks and with Kate, always getting right up against her or pulling him to her or pinning her under him or getting her to kiss him in exchange for the inhalers he never had) and Jack in an emotional way (with the case, "we'll open the case together," helping her to get the case and open it because he sees the emotional connection she has to whatever is inside and wanting to know why it's so important to her and with Kate, wanting her to be honest with him and to tell him something real like how she knows how to track, why she was in the custody of the marshal, and what it is about that little toy plane that means so much to her). I can't wait to see what it is that Boone and Locke are uncovering in the jungle! They are lying about it which is interesting. Then again, everyone seems to keep secrets of what they're really up to. Shannon was kind of her annoying "I can't" self again. I don't think it's because she's being a spoiled brat and just doesn't want to. I think she just really doubts herself and/or is afraid of letting people down. What is it that happened to her that makes her afraid to even try? Sayid had to carefully encourage her until she finally gave in. By the way, the song she sang was the French version of "Beyond the Sea" which is the song playing during the end credits of "Finding Nemo" which is the animated movie she was referring to as being watched over and over by her ex-boyfriend's kid. It was great to see Rose again and to watch her bring Charlie out of his funk. The writers were able to bring in religion and faith without being preachy, which I appreciate. Faith is important to Rose and as we've seen in Charlie's flashback, to Charlie as well. I love all the different character dynamics and the different types of relationships forming. The ending... way to be creepy, Boone, creepin' on your sister from the shadows... Favorite quotes/moments:Sawyer: I was protecting you. Kate: From what, Southern perverts? Sawyer: Me Kate! Me throw rock! Michael: If you pick the lock on a Halliburton, I'll put you on my back and fly us to L.A.

Tastes are different, and that's good so. This episode got 4 stars from me, as it was very entertaining for me and there was a lot of Skate <3! I so liked the beginning with Sawyer and Kate swimming in the lake, though it was of course clear, that something would disturb the scene. But have to admit, that despite it gave me goosebumps, when I saw the corpses in the water. Maybe I was too happy and naive about the Skate scene lol. This cute "ouch!" from Sawyer, when Kate was throwing something against him, was too cute btw. xD And really cute how he suddenly cares for her, like she is putting out a soft side inside him. For examble his "Hey, you're okay?", after they have found the corpses. I just love to see a hard guy like Sawyer becoming softer because of a woman. I always love those relations in movies and shows, so that's probably another reason, why I would love to see the two of them together someday. Well, but I'm pretty sure, the bad guy won't win. -.- Though Kate seems to start having feelings for Sawyer too, as she smiles more often, when they talk. Yes agree! The back and forth with the case snatching was pretty funny! The metaphor about Kate and the case is very interesting and I do agree with it either. Yah, true. Shannon was again the useless girl. But I liked how she talked to Sayid and to hear her sing. Very beautiful and I knew she was talking about Finding Nemo. But how could she say, that movie is annoying? Haha, I would love to watch it all day long together with my kids someday. I loved to see Rose again too. Actually, I was already wondering about her and how she is doing. She is a very brave and faithful person inwardly. I really like that. And also that she, when all others are sparing Charlie, is the only one, who talks to him directly and tells him not to sit there useless.

German title "Der silberne Koffer" ("The silver case"). I don't like that they changed it. "Whatever the case may be" does sound so much more mysterious.
