5 MONTHS AGO New Year's Eve December 31, 2017
Tonight she was on a mission to locate Bruce Banner. Tony Stark was throwing some kind of party tonight and that was her in. The Avengers were invited to the affair but since she was on the run she needed to keep off the radar. She would have to blend in but that would not be an easy task- she wished she still had her hands on that Nano Mask, it would have made tonight a lot easier. Now, this whole mission was up in the air, if she triggered anything, Friday would alert Tony to her presence. Sure, she could have asked him but this would be a lot more fun. Natasha wasn’t sporting her usual red tonight, instead, her hair had been dyed a blonde color. Stark did have a thing for blonde’s she hoped he wouldn’t notice her. Tonight she wasn’t a party guest, she was a server and it would be easier to go unnoticed. She spent a good portion of the night handing out drinks and just mingling. She stayed away from the other Avengers, as they would recognize her. About an hour later, Natasha knew this was her chance to leave the party unnoticed. She ducked into a closet and removed the waiter outfit before slipping into her usual tight-fitting attire. “Here we go,” She pulled up some schematics of the house and found her in, Tony Stark’s main operation. Tony would have everything she needed in there, she still wasn’t sure how she would get past, Friday. Plugging in some S.H.I.E.L.D device that would hack into the system and get her in undetected… hopefully. The lights in Stark’s control room lit up and she made her way over to his main computer- if you could call it that. Some weird air screen thing, similar to what was available at S.H.I.E.L.D. “What I wouldn’t give for an actual hard drive,” Natasha sighed and pressed the screen, this alerted the system- Friday. “Agent Romanoff, you are not supposed to be in here. I will have to alert, Mr. Stark.” As she tapped the first blue bubble that appeared, it went red and she was instantly locked out. “How long have you know I was here?” “Since your arrival, I scan all of Mr. Stark’s guests.” “I need to use his computer, I need you to help me find Bruce Banner. I tried using the tech at The Avengers Facility but I came up empty. I know Tony is saving all the good toys for himself, help me out.” “I can not do that, I’m sorry- Mr. Stark has been alerted, he is on his way." "Great, thanks for nothing." -Friday in Tony’s ear-“Hate to interrupt but Agent Romanoff has found her way into your workshop. I’ve locked her in-”

It was about time to throw a party like this. The last months hadn't been quite entertaining, rather quite annoying, frustrating and boring, even though in this case boring didn't include the lack of work. Throwing himself into work did not only even raise the level of frustration, it also let him sometimes forget who he actually was. The hell, he was Iron Man and not some kind of paper-pusher. Not only that this kind of business sometimes made him feel kind of uncomfortable, it also was annoying the hell out of him. And still, he even didn't say he would like to just not do it, as, well, it was part of his job (who else should do anyway?), the thing just was... He needed more of this kind of breaks.
"Three Martini please.", Tony ordered the next drinks for him and his break, so to speak, turning out to be two lovely ladies he actually had never seen before. Actually, they could belong to the groupie fandom of his, sneaked upon his little house party, when they heard Tony Stark was giving one of them again after quite some time. Tony thought about it for a short moment, as he watched them giggling and adjusting their dresses, and in this case adjusting actually meant to put attention to certain merits. He shrugged off the potential meaning of the hole these bunnies might have come from. Everyone was here to have fun and that was everything counting tonight.
But still, someone was missing. Someone he really liked to see here. Maybe Pepper hadn't got his invitation... again. Maybe the more he was telling himself that could have been the reason for not getting any sign of life, there was a chance to eventually actually believe it himself. Oh c'mon, she couldn't be still angry with him, or could she?
"Thanks." Tony took the drinks from the bar without even noticing the blonde server behind was no less than Natasha. Noticing her actually serving here, he might have gotten a bit suspicious. Well, you never knew with her. But instead of taking notice, he left the bar, heading back to the two ladies waiting for some fun with god damn good looking Tony Stark.
The evening was still young, still full of possibilities and all the more with a high amount of gin and vodka. Tony was still talking with the two ladies, by now pretty sure members of the Iron Man fan club, apparent from their fascination for his most precious piece, and again there had to be added an, in this case, this wasn't meant lewdly. "Okay, now watch out!", Tony called out, as he was presenting the features of his telepresence headset, having adjusted it to one of the ladies' blonde heads. "So, you just gotta..."
The young woman shrieked all of a sudden, tossing the headset off her head. "Oh no! I'm so sorry, Mr. Stark! I didn't want to...", she immediately started an apology, as she got interrupted by Tony. "Yah, it's fine." He had actually more winced at the sudden shriek than the fact she just tossed an important toy of his. He didn't have to ask what just had happened, instead, he put the headset on himself. "Did I forgot to activate the Do Not Disturb option?", he asked with slight annoyance on his face, getting two puzzled looks from the two ladies next to him.
"DND deactivated, Sir. Do you want me to activate?", a mechanized voice answered to his ear.
"No.", Tony replied with an eye roll. "It's too late now." He walked some steps to the bar's direction before he continued. "What do you have for me, Friday? And I hope it's important."
"Agent Romanoff has found her way into your workshop. I’ve locked her in-", Friday repeated her former message.
Tony let out a sigh of annoyance. "Will take care of it." He actually wasn't that surprised to hear she was here. In fact, he even wondered about she hadn't made an appearance earlier.
"Well, ladies, I gotta go. Not for long. I suppose. I hope.", he addressed the two young woman, as he walked back to them, replacing the headset back into his jacket. "Go ahead without me. Not too far ahead though.", he added with a smirk, turning around one last time, before he stepped away, heading to his workshop.

"I hate technology," Natasha sighed and made her way over to the lift, breaking a panel off the wall. She doubted this would work but she had to try. Breaking apart two of the wires she tried to bring the lift back to life. A few sparks of the wire would do it but a shock went through her instead. "Damn it, Friday, you are seriously on my last nerve." She shook her hand mostly out of annoyance, not pain.
"I'm not sorry, Agent Romanoff. I can not let you leave until Tony arrives." Everything was practically shut down and unless Friday wanted her out, she wasn't going anywhere- not without frying her circuits and that would piss Tony off- Oh tempting. She moved back to his main station and plopped down to wait, knowing Tony would come eventually if he wasn't preoccupied.
"I liked Jarvis a lot better, at least he was reasonable." Natasha had swiped some easily portable finger foods from the food table. She was going to save them for the road but she was bored and what better way to preoccupy yourself- food. Rolling out the napkin, she placed her feet up on the table and waited for Tony, popping some kind of puff pastry in her mouth.

Hope had done a little mingling but mostly observing. There weren't many people she knew here. She wasn't sure why she'd accepted the invitation. Probably because it was New Year's Eve and she had nothing better to do. Ringing in the New Year at home again after having done so the last couple years just didn't sound appealing. Plus she needed the distraction and she'd been in New York for work anyway.
Music was pumping but low enough to still be able to carry on a conversation. She wandered the vast room, taking it the décor and high tech gadgets of the smart house. The place was ridiculously ostentatious, much like its owner, and there was an open bar where you could order whatever you thought up, which the host had been taking plenty advantage of.
An irritating shriek caught her attention and she turned to see Tony entertaining a couple of women who fit exactly the look she was expecting of one who let out desperate, attention seeking noises. 'Pathetic,' she thought with a roll of her eyes. And so, currently, was the man feigning interest in such trash in an attempt to fool himself and others into thinking everything was great.
Hope pulled her phone from her purse and moved to the corner of the room, tapping her fingers on the case as she went back and forth with indecision. The once person with the past experience of taking out Tony's trash and keeping him grounded was in town. Things were currently strained between Tony and Pepper so Hope was hesitant to cause further strain by bringing to her attention that he seemed to be reverting further back to the old Tony than he had in awhile. She was also afraid that if she didn't consult with Pepper about it, he'd keep reverting and ruin whatever chance was left in making amends.
Hope caught sight of Tony talking into his headset as he left the main room of the party in the direction of his private rooms and workshop. Hope was struck with the memory of the story Pepper had told her about the time he'd really hit rock bottom and nearly destroyed his house when he'd donned his suit at a party and proceeded to show off. She highly doubted he'd do something that stupid dangerous again but she couldn't figure why he'd suddenly step away from his own party.
"Hell..." she muttered under her breath as she dialed Pepper's number. She listened as it rang, moving in the direction Tony had gone and decided she wouldn't mention anything about Tony to Pepper. At least not unless provoked by Pepper or Tony himself. At least she'd already have Pepper on the phone just in case he was up to something.

Slightly swaying (Yah, he already had a few, true, but yet not one too many) Tony took the last steps leading to his workshop, not exactly rushing. Romanoff anyway couldn't go anywhere right now. Friday had locked her in, meant no one except Tony Stark himself was able to deactivate the safety instrumented system. Pretty cool, wasn't it?
As Tony has reached the hallway leading to the rooms, where he was storing the really cool stuff, he already caught sight of the lovely party killer inside. He stopped in front of the glass door to give her a short reprehensive look, not exactly intimidating though. Then he turned his hand on the input panel right next to it. "Open Sesame!", he commanded Friday to deactivate the remote alarm, waiting for her words of approval, before he lastly entered the access key on the panel to finally enter and bid the uninvited guest a welcome.
"Got lost around here?", he asked, the same reprehensive look on his face, though there was a slight sign of pleasure in his eyes. Natasha had been an ally once and not only an ally, a friend too. So after all what had happened, Tony would have lied, if he said he wasn't glad to see she was doing well. Well and yet locked in his workshop.
Tony stepped closer to her. "Okay... I'll give you five seconds to explain me this. I'd be down for the idea that you were gonna surprise me by hiding sort of a present under my..." He paused, while he had a stark-ish thoughtful look at the armor next to the table, one he got currently remastered with some fancy innovations. "... suit." Another pause. "Yah, well. That didn't come out as it should." Tony raised one hand in a fast waving movement. "Anyways, you're too late, Christmas is over. So, what are you doing here?" With crossed arms, he was waiting for Natasha to explain.

"Open Sesame!" Natasha looked over her shoulder to see Tony just staring at her. Once he was inside the room he seemed to be slightly amused at her capture. "Got lost around here?" She placed her feet on the floor and popped the last piece of pastry into her mouth before slapping her hands together to clean the crumbs.
"I was looking for the bathroom," Her tone was dry but she had an amused look on her face.
"Okay... I'll give you five seconds to explain me this. I'd be down for the idea that you were gonna surprise me by hiding sort of a present under my..." Her eyebrow raised at his words, how many drinks did he have tonight? "... suit. Yah, well. That didn't come out as it should. Anyways, you're too late, Christmas is over. So, what are you doing here?" She crossed her arms and said nothing at first, she wanted to take it body language in. She could lie to him but she was hoping he was looking for the big guy too. Bruce and Tony seemed to get along and share a mutual brain when it came to science, they got along in short.
"Sorry I'm late, my reindeer got turned around." She sighed, "I needed some heavy-duty equipment and I knew you have the best stuff here. I'm looking for Bruce," She said it and now there was no taking it back. "I wanted to see how far I got before I came for help, so far I got nothing and I used every contact I had- everyone but you. I know I should have come to you but I left and I didn't want to put you in that situation. He's out there somewhere, Tony, I need to find him."

Hope covered her free ear to block out the noise of the party, listening to a few rings pass before Pepper's voice met her ears. She stepped into the hallway, moving slowly in the direction that Stark had gone.
"Hello, Hope! Happy New Year!"
That was enthusiastic. Perhaps a bit over enthusiastic which usually meant something was bothering the person. Hope took a couple beats to answer. "Hey, Happy New Year to you too, Pep."
Hope sounded a bit distracted, wondering if she should be bothering Pepper with Tony related issues. They weren't exactly together at the moment but that didn't mean they weren't still two parts that made up a whole. Despite the fact Tony was a narcissistic pain in the ass, he still seemed to light up Pepper's life. Seeing the dark cloud over the both of them during their separation made it more apparent than ever.
She could hear no background noise on the other end of the phone and she frowned. "Pepper, are you working?" she chastised.

"No, no, I'm at this, uh, Vanity Fair party. Last-minute thing, pretty low-key." A couple beats of silence followed.
"Actually, yes, I am working. Only because I thought I could get more done while everyone else is away. But I can't seem to focus, so I really am just leaving ... Sounds like you found a fun party, though. If you'd like to postpone our lunch date, I'll understand."

So, now there were standing here, facing each other with crossed arms, both saying nothing at all for some moments until Natasha was the first to end that silence.
"Sorry I'm late, my reindeer got turned around." She didn't get more than a short toneless smile from him, not exactly looking real. "I needed some heavy-duty equipment and I knew you have the best stuff here." Tony already had an idea what this was supposed to be about. "I'm looking for Bruce," And that had been the idea. He remained motionless, still with his arms crossed, though. Listening. Yah, right. Actually listening. "I wanted to see how far I got before I came for help, so far I got nothing and I used every contact I had- everyone but you. I know I should have come to you but I left and I didn't want to put you in that situation. He's out there somewhere, Tony, I..."
After all, he relapsed into his usual manner of interrupting and already started an answer before Natasha had been able to get heard out. "Hi! Nice to see you too! Oh yes, and have a great new year as well! Wait, we're letting out this part, aren't we? All right, gimme a second to reconstruct." Another toneless smile, before he added: "Actually... I've expected you to come earlier. One way or another."

"Do you have anything on his location, Tony?" She walked over to the corner of his room, pouring herself a drink from his little table. She just wanted to find him, she wanted to make sure he was okay- she was worried about him. "and I was going to come earlier but I needed to cover my tracks. People are still after me."

(via phone) "No, no, I'm at this, uh, Vanity Fair party. Last-minute thing, pretty low-key."
Hope slowed her pace, eyes shifting in the direction of the phone as if giving Pepper a look. "Mmhmm," she said disbelievingly. She stopped around the corner before Stark's workshop, giving a quick glance around the corner to see that he'd already disappeared into it and nobody else was lingering around.
"Actually, yes, I am working. Only because I thought I could get more done while everyone else is away. But I can't seem to focus, so I really am just leaving ...
And that was why she and Pepper got along so well. It had been her plan to ring in the new year by burying herself in work, not only on New Year's Eve, but a Sunday, no less. Hope had given up after two hours of finding herself lost in thought and endless scrolls through news headlines for interesting articles. More specifically, any mentions of a particular set of war criminal fugitives. There wasn't much to find these days. The hype had dwindled after zero sightings, traces, or links. Wherever they were, they were hidden damn well and found the means to survive without tapping into any part of their previous lives.
The short pause ended and Pepper's voice brought Hope back to reality.
Sounds like you found a fun party, though. If you'd like to postpone our lunch date, I'll understand."
"No, no," she said with an automatic waving of her hand despite it going unseen. "I'm not sure how much longer I'll stick around. Not much in a party mood," she confessed.
Hope leaned against the wall, worrying her lower lip over dragging Pepper into Stark Intervention Duty. Deciding the end results would be worse situationally for everyone and emotionally for her friend, Hope made up her mind and pushed on. "Hey, you know that funny story you told me about Stark getting smashed and over-sharing his suit abilities at one of his parties?" Hope said with a forced lighthearted humor to her voice in an attempt to make light of a serious situation. "What are the chances of that happening again?"

"I would sincerely hope 'slim to none.' Try explaining to any insurance adjustor that the cause of all that damage was a battle royale between Iron Man and War Machine. I think he laughed at me for ten minutes straight. Not that I fault Rhodey for it; I've certainly wanted to toss Tony through a wall a few times."
"What made you think of that? Hope, if you're trying to get info out of Tony, don't waste your time. He doesn't know anything about Scott. I know he and your father don't have the best history, but I would tell you if I had any leads."

"Do you have anything on his location, Tony?" Tony was just about to answer this question, as he visibly got distracted by her walk over to his private bar. He literally shook off his sudden distraction. "and I was going to come earlier but I needed to cover my tracks. People are still after me."
"Same goes for our big green friend.", Tony stated at last, while he walked over and slowly took the glass out of her hand. "So, what are you gonna do once you've found out about his whereabouts?", he made Natasha wonder, standing close to her. "Drive to the airport and hop on the next jet? I'm sure the marshals won't recognize your sweet face from the news all around the states, because, hey, your air ticket says Natalie Rushman or whichever pseudonym else, right? Oh, and because you're a fair-head now of course."
A self-opinionated expression lay on his face before he took a slug of whatever she had poured herself from his private bar, by now not being aware of the fact that he had just given away more information than intended. Speaking of a jet to get to Bruce Banner probably meant Tony already had an idea of an explicit location, didn't it?
"Sounds reasonable, doesn't it?"

"Same goes for our big green friend." Natasha was just about to take a drink when Tony came over and snatched the glass from her hand- which she let him do. In turn, she turned back around and poured herself another drink and smiled, this time making sure to keep the glass from him.
"Yeah, I know that- but he shouldn't be alone right now. It's not fun being alone-" She could speak from experience- being on the run wasn't something she enjoyed. She missed the days when she could just lounge around and rest until she was needed or got a call.
"So, what are you gonna do once you've found out about his whereabouts?, Drive to the airport and hop on the next jet? I'm sure the marshals won't recognize your sweet face from the news all around the states, because, hey, your air ticket says Natalie Rushman or whichever pseudonym else, right? Oh, and because you're a fair-head now of course." She had plans to keep herself safe from all eyes, sadly they didn't work when people like Tony, started to upgrade people's security systems. "Sounds reasonable, doesn't it?"
"I have my ways," She downed the rest of the glass before placing it on the counter. "I've traveled all over and not once did they catch me. Surprisingly the blonde works and keeps people off my trail," She was off the grid but she still needed to make a living. "Girls got to eat, I still need to make a living." As she held a conversation with him, her mind was working over time. What did he know? The words 'sounds reasonable, doesn't it', it had her thinking. "Do you have an idea how to find him?" When he said nothing she prompted him further, "Come on, you know I'm the only one who can talk him down- if he's still out there as Hulk, I can get Banner back." She knew Tony missed Banner, they were like brain buddies.

"I have my ways," Tony wordless watched her downing the rest of the other glass she had gotten herself some moments before. "I've traveled all over and not once did they catch me. Surprisingly the blonde works and keeps people off my trail,""Girls got..." Suddenly a thoughtful expression appeared on his face, an absurd question coming into his mind, probably caused by the proper amount of alcohol at a party like this. Would a blue-colored Hulk attract less attention than a greenish? Maybe it was good that Natasha went on before he could have made this question audible.
"Do you have an idea how to find him?""Come on, you know I'm the only one who can talk him down- if he's still out there as Hulk, I can get Banner back." Tony shook off the returning image of a blue Hulk, again literally, before he started an answer with one deep sigh. "As well as I knew you'd pay me a visit sooner or later, we both know you won't give up in this before I told you where he is, right?" Oh damn. Did he just say where he is? And as if his body would make the little slip of his tongue visible, the hand that leaned on the table's edge slid away all of a sudden. Couldn't she have wait till New Year's Day, or better two days into New Year, to come here?

"Here, here," Hope sympathized and agreed with a chuckle.
"What made you think of that?
Hope paused, still warring with herself on dragging Pepper into this but then Pepper misconstrued Hope's silence and continued.
Hope, if you're trying to get info out of Tony, don't waste your time. He doesn't know anything about Scott. I know he and your father don't have the best history, but I would tell you if I had any leads."
Hope was caught off guard. Scott was usually lingering in her mind but at the moment, worries of Stark putting on a repeat performance had been distracting her.
"No, no," she said defensively. "I wasn't trying to-- I'm not worried about--" she placed a hand over her forehead and gave a frustrated sigh over the vulnerable moment she'd slipped into. "Stark's been hitting the bar pretty hard tonight and now he's disappeared into his workshop," she blurted out. 'Way to go, Hope,' she thought. She frowned at herself then dropped her hand. "Sorry, I shouldn't have bothered you. It's not your problem. I'm already here so I can keep an eye on things." 'More like babysit,' she thought with a mental eye roll.

"As well as I knew you'd pay me a visit sooner or later, we both know you won't give up in this before I told you where he is, right?" Way too many drinks, he was plastered and now she had to get all the information out of him.
"Great so here I am," She got closer to him and poked his chest, "Where is the big guy, tell me and you can go back to your party." He hitting on women and drinking a lot, which meant he pulled a stupid with Pepper. She couldn't begin to know what was going on but at this moment she only cared about two things- Banner and not being arrested.

"Great so here I am," Tony bit his lip, inwardly. On the surface, he tried to remain cool, more or less successfully, as Natasha was coming closer to him. Rather less successfully. "Where is the big guy, tell me and you can go back to your party." And again his eyes thoughtfully turned sideways for a moment. Ah well, what the heck. Now he wouldn't get rid of her anyway.
"Let's say I'd have an idea where he is.", he started, giving her one of his artificial smiles. "And let's say you'd need to take an actual jet." Tony made a short pause to pour himself another drink, before he, the filled glass remaining in his hand, continued. "I'd suggest you better not rush things... Rushman." He let out a short giggle at that wordplay with the pseudonym she once had introduced herself to him with, until he realized he was the only one who thought this was funny. His humor was just veering off the street at times when he had a drink too much.
"Okay, we both know I'm the last person who wouldn't help out.", he added more serious. "Just what I mean is that we need to be careful. Turning a red-head into a fair-head might have worked out for you, but we should take no risk." Tony raised the glass up to his lips.

"Let's say I'd have an idea where he is. And let's say you'd need to take an actual jet." A jet would be nice but she exhausted a lot of her contacts. "I'd suggest you better not rush things... Rushman."
"Tony," Her voice held that same cool tone she normally possessed. "Enough with these games and just tell me where he is."
"Okay, we both know I'm the last person who wouldn't help out. Just what I mean is that we need to be careful. Turning a red-head into a fair-head might have worked out for you, but we should take no risk." Natasha knew that she had nothing to lose but Tony had a great deal. She guessed he was being extra cautious these days since everything went to hell.
"Just put the booze down and help, clear your head- I need you sharp."

"No, no, I ... I'm glad you told me. Hope, do you mind if I put you on hold for a sec?"
A couple minutes of silence followed.
"Hope? Hey, sorry about that, just tying up some loose ends. Look, I don't want to cut into your fun, which I'm guessing is why you chose to attend a party in the first place. But I appreciate you letting me know. And I hereby authorize you to use any force necessary to keep Tony from doing something stupid."

"Just put the booze down and help, clear your head- I need you sharp."
Tony gave her kind of a recalcitrant look, his nasal wings moving noisily, as he lowered the glass in his hands, not making a move to place it back on the bar though. After all, this was a party and whiskey, no, vodka, ah whatever was filling this glass right now, was simply a great part of it. Why the hell couldn't this wait until he was through his proper hangout?
"Believe it or not, you're not the only one feeling concerned about Banner.", he eventually stated. Yah, he really missed those intellectual discussions, in which admittedly he felt like the underdog at times. Something that had never bothered him though. It was not like he wasn't able to confess when he was inferior to someone, just did that not happen very often. A complacent smirk flashed over his face at that thought before he forced himself to concentrate back on his unsolicited guest and yet a friend he was willing to help out.
"I'd made use of my capabilities already a while ago. Don't feel ashamed about that - about not have gained information at first hand I mean." When he noticed the start of another eye-roll coming from her, he continued back to the point.
"He's in Norway.", it suddenly escaped him surprising real straight to the point, before the lowered glass in his hand yet was raised to his lips.

"Believe it or not, you're not the only one feeling concerned about Banner." She knew that was true, like she mentioned before- Tony and Bruce were a lot alike when it came to matters of the mind.
"I'd made use of my capabilities already a while ago. Don't feel ashamed about that - about not have gained information at first hand I mean. He's in Norway. Norway, what was Bruce doing in Norway? She couldn't begin to imagine why he would be there, what was out there? No matter, she now had a location she just needed to figure out where in Norway. Did he have a particular location or would she have to hunt around to find the big guy?
"Great, now I need to find a mode of transportation. I think I have just the lady in mind," As Natasha walked around earlier, she noticed several faces- along with one particular face. Hope van Dyne, she would certainly have some kind of plane? "Mind letting me out?"

(Via phone) "Hope? Hey, sorry about that, just tying up some loose ends. Look, I don't want to cut into your fun, which I'm guessing is why you chose to attend a party in the first place. But I appreciate you letting me know. And I hereby authorize you to use any force necessary to keep Tony from doing something stupid."
“Roger that. I’ll see you tomorrow!” She said, trying to sound light and carefree over the whole thing so as not to worry Pepper further.
Hope had no problem butting heads with Stark. Both raised by genius tech men who pressured them to succeed since a young age and who had neglected them due to said work, they had a sort of sibling-like relationship including rivalry, head butting, and the unspoken understanding of the emotional scars from their childhood. Pepper, however, was a dear friend and Hope did not want to cross a line, despite the fact she and Tony were on a break.
She disconnected the call and dropped her phone into a hidden pocket of her party dress, then continued on to Tony’s workshop. She peered through the glass and saw he was not alone. Some blonde woman stood with her back to Hope, sharing a drink with Tony. Hope scowled, angry on Pepper’s behalf. He’d sneaked away from his own party with some blonde bimbo?
The woman turned and headed her direction. Hope watched the woman with disapproval but then a look of curiosity when she sensed a sort of recognition but something was throwing her off.
It suddenly hit her. This wasn’t some random blonde bimbo. This was the famous ex-Avenger known as Black Widow. She’d changed her hair. What, exactly, was Tony mixed up in? His flippant attitude toward superiors was one thing but if he was harboring or helping a declared war criminal per the Sakovia Accords, he was flirting dangerously with becoming one himself. Not that Hope blamed him. She’d do the same, especially for a particular pain in the ass thief who haunted her thoughts nearly every day.
Hope pounded her fist on the glass to get Tony’s attention. “Open up!” She shouted. The room was most likely well sealed and soundproof so she gestured toward the door at the same time.

"Great, now I need to find a mode of transportation. I think I have just the lady in mind,""Mind letting me out?"
"Wait, that's all?", Tony answered a question with a question, obviously surprised. He had just told her that Banner would be in Norway and she even didn't ask why? Well, not that Tony would know anyway, but that was not the point. Actually, it was more the fact she didn't ask any detail at all, that made him wonder. But then, he didn't know how much time Natasha actually had spent with finding out about Banner's whereabouts before he finally came to a specialist contact person. In other words - to him.
But as he already had mentioned before, it wasn't wise to rush things. And so he gave her a sign of time-out. "I know you can't wait to see our big green friend, I totally get that believe me, but..." Suddenly he stopped. Was there someone hammering at the glass? Still with the drink in his hand, Tony turned around to face someone they had just talked about. At least was she the one who had come into his mind when Natasha had said the lady.
"Speaking of...", he sighed with slight annoyance, before he stepped closer to the door. With one hand movement towards the little monitor next to it, he unlocked the safety system for Hope, not without giving her a look saying he didn't feel all too pleased about the sudden press in his private rooms though.
"Can't recall I've relocated this party downstairs.", he stated once the door opened aside.

"Wait, that's all?" Did he expect her to grill him more? She got a location and that is what she was here for. "I know you can't wait to see our big green friend, I totally get that believe me, but..." Natasha was about to argue that they didn't have time for this, she needed to leave before people discovered her location. However, a large banging noise from behind had both attentions turning. “Open up!” "Speaking of..." She said nothing and watched as Tony walked over to open the door for Hope. "Can't recall I've relocated this party downstairs." Natasha finished off her drink before making her way over to the now open door.
"You're Hope van Dyne," It wasn't a question, she was just stating a fact.

"Can't recall I've relocated this party downstairs."
"Can't recall a party where the host ditches the guests," she shot back as she moved passed him toward his guest.
"You're Hope van Dyne,"
Hope wasn't surprised. Running a Fortune 500 company meant articles and photos in various publications whether you were a willing participant or not. Of course Hope didn't appear in them as much as Stark as she preferred a more low-key lifestyle to Tony's rowdy, playboy, attention whore lifestyle.
"You're Natalia Romanova, better known by the public as Black Widow." Hope grinned and held out her hand to shake Natalia's. "I admire your work. Took guts, having to air out your own past in order to expose the corruption within S.H.I.E.L.D. and the government."

"Can't recall a party where the host ditches the guests,"
Ouch! "Well, properly speaking...", Tony started a subterfuge, as Natasha broke into his words from behind.
"You're Hope van Dyne," At that he turned around for a short moment, and then back at Hope who was just passing him. "You're Natalia Romanova, better known by the public as Black Widow."
"And I'm Tony Stark, also known as the one and only Iron Man. Funny little fact about me: There are these private rooms down in my house, protected with an identification safety system. Get the hint or wanna make use of the fifty-fifty lifeline?", he went on talking without realizing or at least caring, that the two woman weren't listening to him, as they had just started a conversation on their own.
"... ... ... and the government."

"You're Natalia Romanova, better known by the public as Black Widow." Natasha wasn't surprised Hope knew who she was, anyone who knew the Avengers and S.H.I.E.L.D. knew who she was. She took her hand and smiled, "I admire your work. Took guts, having to air out your own past in order to expose the corruption within S.H.I.E.L.D."
"And I'm Tony Stark, also known as the one and only Iron Man. Funny little fact about me: There are these private rooms down in my house, protected with an identification safety system. Get the hint or wanna make use of the fifty-fifty lifeline?"
"-and the government." and she ignored Tony all together and focused on her new conversation. Tony was drunk and she didn't have time to deal with him at the moment. "Makes it a bit harder to keep off their radar but it was for a good cause." With the new information about Bruce being in Norway, she had the starting point that she needed. Now she needed transportation and Hope could easily get her there- she hoped. "I know this is a strange request and we just met but- do you have plans?" She grinned, "I need to take a trip to find a guy in green and getting there will be a bit tricky."
