Dropping to the ground, Nebula slammed her backside up against a wide pillar in the middle of a parkade. A yelp of sheer pain escaped her throat before she firmly clasped her hand of blue flesh over her lips to prevent any further noise to be heard by her attacker. Everything had happened so fast, so sudden. She had put up her best fight and gave her all, yet what she had within her that night was no where near good enough. Nebula could have only assumed that this particularly strong Kree warrior was sent by her father Thanos to eliminate her, especially after her poorly attempted assassination. Like a fly, her existence was now a nuisance and her life was to be terminated. Her huddled body jolted as sparks flew from her bionic arm. Nebula gasped as her black, beady eyes narrowed down on her the short circuiting wires in her metal attachment as her fingers twitched uncontrollably. Her arm needed time to regenerate, yet time was something she simply did not have enough of as she heard a presence walking about the cars in the underground lot. Growling with anger, Nebula was rendered helpless for the first time in a long while and attempted to crawl her way out. Yet, her attempt was brought to an alarming halt as the two feet of the Thanos trained Kree landed before her.

"Prepare to meet your demise...traitor."

"I'm sorry, am I interrupting something?" Behind the kree, a smallish man dressed ludicrously in boots, jeans, a hoodie, beanie, and, of all things, ski goggles stands with his hands spread in a gesture of appeasement. The kree warrior immediately drew his blaster and fired. The little guy dodged behind a parked car to the kree's left just in time for the bolt to seer past his head. The warrior turned again to Nebula, when, from behind a older Accord on their right "Hey, Smurfette, I'm pretty sure the lady needs medical care, and you don't look like a damn EMT! Another bolt tore through the Honda, but the human popped back up to their right, "Easy, big guy. Just wanna help".



The kree snarled, "Frag off, humie!" Before he could get off another shot, a black tendril shot from his arm pit, up his arm, and wrenched his hand downwards. The bolt ripped through his boot and the top of his foot, and he roared in pain and anger.

"I'm sorry, am I interrupting something?"

A voice of a man caused an abrupt distraction for Nebula as she rolled away from the Kree.
"C'mon, c'mon, damn it!!" Scrambling to her feet, Nebula pleaded harshly as she looked down at her regenerating bionic arm, held in place by the hand made of flesh and blood. She carried herself a few steps farther from the scene before the sounds of the Kree's blaster erupted through the entire parkade. Turning her head to see who he was shooting at, she ran right into the side of a car and fell to the ground once more in her injured state. The car's alarm sounded, drawing the blue warrior's attention to her once more.

"Hey, Smurfette, I'm pretty sure the lady needs medical care, and you don't look like a damn EMT!""Easy, big guy. Just wanna help".

Finally, Nebula caught sight of the human with heroic intentions and the Kree approaching him with his blaster aimed to shoot. She wanted to turn and run, make her escape while the human remained as bait. Yet, holding her bionic arm she froze on the ground leaning against the car she slammed into as the scene unfolded. This human was about to die for her, when she would have never done the same for him in the first place. How idiotic.

"Frag off, humie!"

Suddenly, the tables turned and Nebula watched in utter disbelief as a dark tentacle grabbed hold of the Kree against his will, making him shoot himself in his foot. What is this?! Nebula thought to herself as she looked from the Kree to the human, is this puny human capable of such power?! Just as the Kree doubled over in pain, Nebula's twitching bionic fingers relaxed as her arm was finally whole again. As soon as she realized she was back to her full potential, Nebula set her sight on the big blue target and whipped out her electric batons. Her battle cry could have echoed through all of Manhattan as she lunged in the air over the Kree and bringing her batons down on his body she finished him off with an electrical surge to the chest.

The surge from Nebula's batons arced through the blue lug's breastplate, grounded through his legs, and blew out everything in between. Jackie retched, "That just... ain't right... ugh.". He eyed the cyborg now ankle deep in gore, "You popped that guy like a watermelon! Normal day for you?"

[Ariel]

"You popped that guy like a watermelon! Normal day for you?"

"Define normal," Nebula spouted as her blue head jerked to the side. Pulling the batons out of the newly deceased Kree, Neubla stood upright. Her heated gaze transitioned from the Kree's body on the concrete floor up to the stranger. She stared straight at the human in dire confusion through her black, beady eyes, "Why did you do that?! You could have been killed, and for what?!" Nebula spoke with hasty anger as she confronted the motives of this man in front of her.
