Jayne
He's lifting weights, feeling mighty put out that he missed all the action. But how was he to know some qiang bao hou zi de bounty hunter would sneak his way onto the ship? Hell, it ain't like he was noisy or nothin'. And once Jayne is in deep sleep, there ain't much that can wake him. Still, Jayne would've liked a good brawl and missing one on account of him sleeping through the perfect opportunity didn't sit well with him.

BOOK
"Need a spotter?" the shepherd offered, draping a towel around his neck and approaching the bench. No doubt Jayne had felt the same regret Book did, of not being more help in the situation with their unwelcome guest. Lately, he had prided himself of being a man of peace and composure, but there were days not so long ago when he could have easily dealt with such a man.
"Just when you think you found a nice, quiet piece of sky...." he mused.

JAYNE
Jayne just nods and settles back on the bench press, lifting the weighted bar up and down over his chest; pausing a second at the top before descending again.
"There ain't nothin' quiet about this place. Somethin's always bound to go wrong, especially since the Doc and the girl came on board."

BOOK
"Not that you ever shied away from a little illegal activity," Book observed, in a kind but factual tone. "It would seem everyone on this ship has something to run from, not just the doctor and his sister." It was like he had told Inara that first day he spent aboard Serenity--maybe he had picked the wrong ship, or maybe he had picked the one he needed to be on.

JAYNE
"As long as I sill get my cut of every job, I don't care what folks're runnin' from. What gets me is we gotta deal with their consequences." He tenses, lifting the bar up, puffing out breath when it's at its pinnacle.

"Then you do care," said Book with a slight smile. "But you care about the effect on the present rather than the pain of the past. That's a view more churchman should consider endorsing."

"I care about me and the effect their ruttin' problems are having on earning my wages. With the Alliance on our tail, it's sure making jobs scarce and that ain't kosherized with me." He continued exercising the bar bell, talking through his grunts.

Jayne's tendancy to mix words together like an ape building a house never ceased to amaze Book. "Maybe honest jobs might not be so bad," he said. "Could even have a good influence on you. 'Could'."

Mal
**Entering from the Bridge**
Entering from the top Mal's rushed down the stairs onto the main floor. The ship rocked with the usual entry sequences and Mal cursed under his breath as one of Jayne's weights rolled across his path. "It's like babysitting a 6 year old." The man did not know how to clean up after himself. Most of the cargo had been lashed to the perimeter which he would thank Zoe for later he knew. The captain trudged over to the com next to the cargo bay door controls and another shudder disrupted his approach knocking him forward, he grabbed a hold of the switch. That was not normal... "Jayne get down to the cargo bay you Yi Dwei Da Buen Chuo Rob!" Mal growled over the intercom. He straightened as the ship settled down, he waited for the all clear from Wash to open her up.

Monty
**Entering from New Melbourne Docks**
As Serenity came into view Monty let out a sigh of relief. She was a pleasant sight sitting there welcoming them back. Her hatch to the cargo bay lay open giving her the appearance of wearing a great big grin. "Good to see you, ya old gal." he murmured as they closed the distance. They passed two security guards on duty, both had funny expressions on their faces. Couldn't blame them he supposed. Hoping they didn't notice the blood on his shirt Monty simply shrugged. "Had enough for one evening," he joked. The four trudged a little further but the veteran felt that old itch and he stopped in his tracks.
"Hey fellas on my way out did I drop a few credits?" he said as he turned to face them once more. The one on the left held his hand to his ear and was talking in hushed tones. Upon being addressed he dropped his arm to his side and the two made eye contact. Must have been the senior because he shrugged impatiently at his partner who produced a chip and tossed it Monty's way.
"Better be careful next time friend. Most people aren't as honest." he said with a smirk.
The money landed at his feet and the large man snorted in mock amusement. "Well that's odd..." The pitcher threw a quick glance to the man across from him and they both paused. Time slowed as they both drew their sidearms and leveled them at the Captain and the Shepherd. Monty was faster. Two shots rang out and they both went down. He stood there, an imposing sight, still holding Inara on one side and the smoking gun his other hand. He kept it raised until he was sure the imposter's were down for the count. "Would have paid them to have some common sense."

Inara had felt herself needing to depend on more of Monty's support as they moved along. The fog overtaking her mind made the world look as if it was covered in a hazy fog. Through the haze, she could make out Serenity. So close. Almost there. Why did they stop? She heard talking, felt the vibration of Monty's voice but couldn't make out what was being said. Then suddenly, gunfire. She tried to make sense of the events unfolding through long, hazy-viewed blinks, unsure if it was real or if she'd slipped into a dream.
Her head came to rest on Monty's chest and she began to sink as her world went black.

Monty
With the immediate threat gone, Monty felt Inara go dead weight. He holstered his gun and laid her down against the wall closest to him. "Hold on little lady" he said as he checked her pulse. It felt normal enough but whatever ailed her had knocked her out for the count. He stood up and walked over to sit down on a crate. Monty pulled aside some of his tattered shirt to get a look at his wound. He looked up at the Shepherd. "Do you have a link to Mal, Shepherd? We need to get out of here if they have his ship watched now too."
The Captain heard a thunk from his right. It was somewhere above him as he swung his head in that direction in time to see a propelled grenade fly down and bury itself in the crate's he was sitting on. "Gorram it!" Monty screamed as he threw himself onto the floor. The boxes were blasted to the corners of the large room by the force of the explosion.
He was damned happy for once Mal had so much junk laying around as he ducked behind another pile of who knew what. Not before he got a look at his attacker though. Monty was able to see the guy was wearing some pretty funny looking gloves. Making sure Book and Kaylee had found cover and Inara was untouched, he drew his pistol again. These guys had some big hardware. "Damnit Mal" he muttered as he wished his friend was here right about now. They needed some backup and fast!

BOOK
"Hold on little lady"
Book tended to Kaylee as Monty took care of Inara. "This one looks to be joining Inara soon," he said as he noted Kaylee's dialated pupels. "Kaylee, what happened? Stay with me," he said, gingerly feeling for the bump he knew he'd find.
"Do you have a link to Mal, Shepherd? We need to get out of here if they have his ship watched now too."
He gave Monty a nod. "Time for explains later," he said to Kaylee as he set her next to Inara. "Try to stay awake."
He rushed to the nearby comm and called out. "Captain, Zoe, we have a situation. Job's been compromised. Kaylee and Inara are down. Return-"
He stopped short at the sound of the thunk and immediately sprang to action, diving down by the two ladies and dragging a crate in front of the three of them just as the blast went off.
The last of the wave ended in the sound of cursing, a blast, then high pitched feedback followed by dead air as debris hit the comm.
Monty gave a look back to check on them and Book gave him an 'I've got them covered, do your thing' look. He searched for something to use as a weapon as Monty drew his gun.

"Kaylee, what happened? Stay with me,"
"Where am I goin', Shepard?" Kaylee mumbled. Her mind was all jumbled. When did Shepard get here? Through bleary eyes she could make out her girl. When did they get there? She tried to get her brain to focus but the harder she tried, the more her head ached.
"Time for explains later," "Try to stay awake."
That was good because nothing was makin' any sense. Suddenly she wasn't moving no more and she could feel the cold floor of the cargo bay beneath her. She was so tired but she tried to listen to Shepard and keep her drooping eyelids open. She could tell that she was layin' next to Inara but the other woman didn't seem to be movin'. " 'Nara?" Weakly Kaylee reached her arm over to nudge the companion. Worry wormed its way through the cotton that currently filled her head.
"Captain, Zoe, we have a situation. Job's been compromised. Kaylee and Inara are down. Return-"
Shepard's voice carried over to her but before she could even try to think he dove down beside them and there was a loud boom and stuff flying everywhere. Kaylee's ears were ringing from the sound but it managed to bring some balance back to her thoughts. "Shepard, what's goin' on? We under attack?"

Mal **Entering from Planet - New Melbourne - Docks**
Reynold's could hear the explosion and he stepped aside as a crate came flying down the ramp and skipped along the ground between the Captain and Zoe. They had been way ahead of Book's call and from the looks of things, they had arrived just in time... "Shepherd, you called?" Mal shouted into the fray as he took cover. He caught a glimpse of the catwalks above were there where two men pinning his crew down. They needed to coordinate otherwise himself, Jayne, and Zoe couldn't even get to the ship. They had to use the port loaders for now and hope one of those wángbādàn didn't have a scope.
Monty
"Shepherd, you called?" The old vet leaned his back against the crates he was using and focused on the new arrivals. "Mal, you got a hell of a way of always bringing this hùnzhàng with you." Monty took a few shots over the top just to give his friends some covering fire. They needed to dig em out of their perch and he knew something that might work. He also knew Mal wouldn't like it much. "You guys didn't bring any grenades did ya?"

Richard Cavanaugh <Entering from Cobblestone Road II>
His voice arrived before he did, as did the sound of the warning shot fron the sonic rifle that preceded it. There was no attempt at subtlety, just a brazen announcement of who he was and why he was there. The people that knew him would know they had an ally. The people that didn't would hopefully think the same thing.
"THIS IS CAPTAIN RICHARD CAVANAUGH, OF THE ARMED FORCES OF THE ALLIANCE. I AM HERE TO ARREST SIMON TAM UNDER A WARRANT PROPERLY ISSUED. ANYONE ATTEMPTING TO PREVENT ME FROM THE LAWFUL EXECUTION OF MY DUTY WILL ALSO BE SUBJECT TO ARREST, AS WILL ANYONE FOUND TO BE KNOWINGLY HARBOURING THIS FUGITIVE."
Richard, dressed to the nines in his Alliance artillery uniform, marched directly into the centre of the cargo bay, despite the fact that every nerve in his body was telling him to take cover. He did a quick survey of the area, trying to figure out who was hiding behind what cover and where the enemy was. It was a hellish position for a soldier to be standing in. The nearest cover was yards away. There wasn't a person in the entire bay who didn't have a clear shot at him but it also meant he had a clear shot at the men on the catwalk.
"Alright everybody, stop hiding behind crates. This isn't Gorram hide-and-go-seek. You two!" he called out to the men on the catwalk. "Up on the gantry. Identify yourselves or be subject to arrest for non-compliance. I am armed and am prepared to use force in the execution of this warrant. I would prefer co-operation to force but if need be I will fire." He swung the stun rifle up to his shoulder, aiming at the ground but clearly prepared to raise and fire the weapon.
Hopefully they will do as they're told and not just shoot me. Is it too late to call this a bad plan? Hell, I'm not even sure they're still within the effective range of this thing....

MAL
"You guys didn't bring any grenades did ya?" The captain heard his old friend shout. Before he could even respond the cargo bay was filled with the sound of engine wash as another ship touched down in the suddenly very crowded landing pad. Mal had seen that kind of ship before. It was an Aguilar class transport, that mean trouble... That meant Alliance. "Did somebody ring the dinner bell?" he said to no one in particular. He did notice the firing had stopped. It was replaced by footsteps. From his cover the captain could see some fancy duds waltzing right up into the middle of the bay. That took balls. He wasn't about to stick his head out for a better view though.
That made everything even more interesting, it was not a name he was expecting to hear again so soon. What was that man doing here? Only one thing popped into his head at that moment... Inara. Mal knew right away what was going on. He couldn't help but sneak a look now to see what was transpiring as there seemed to be a conversation going on between Cavanaugh and the men above. Mal's eyes widened slightly as he made out the rebuttal, something about no requirements of needing the crew alive.

"I'm going to need to see some credentials, if you think you've got the degree of authority to make a statement like that," Cavanaugh snapped, trying to channel Michael Gnash, an arrogant colonel he'd has the displeasure of knowing. "I'll also thank you to not conduct a Gorram firefight in the middle of my Gorram conversation. You may say that you don't require the crew alive but I've got a warrant here that is conspicuously missing the word 'DEAD' on the line where it describes the required condition of the wanted party. You've yet to identify yourselves to my satisfaction and since you're the ones doing the shooting, your making me think that my most prudent course of action is to start shooting back. The problem is, if you're the good guys, it would look rather unprofessional in my report."
He raised the stun rifle, hoping that he'd given Wendy enough time to get into decent position. "I will ask you one more time. Identify yourselves or I will fire."
Cav wasn't sure whether something was actually happening or whether it was entirely the power of suggestion but suddenly his left ear started ringing.

As Cav did an impressive job of reigning authority over the Hands of Blue, Wendy sneaked behind the crates next to who she recognized from the files as the Captain and his right hand man. Or woman, as it were.
"We're here to help," she said quietly with a nod toward Cav, hoping that linking herself with Cav would earn her enough trust. Right now, they all had to work together. There was no time for questions or to be distracted by keeping an eye on strangers supposedly on your side.
"Do they have Simon and River up there with them?" Of course she didn't expect an answer to that question. Those two didn't stay hidden all this time without this extremely loyal crew keeping them hidden and their mouths shut. Well, accept for the exception of. It was because of that report that she was able to guess where the two had been hiding. Her eyes flitted to Cobb before returning to the Captain and before anybody could waste time on denials, she added, "I know they're on board." A little lie but she was pretty sure she was right. "If they're up there, we might be able to buy time but if not," she shook her head, "they're gonna end us real quick-like."
The Hands of Blue wouldn't use their sonic weapons if River was up there but she had a feeling they hadn't gotten their creepy ass blue hands on the Tams yet. She was sure their patience was wearing thin and even though they had the confidence to wipe out a room of people, they weren't stupid. They'd already been outnumbered and now here was a new complication involving a supposed Alliance Captain.

Wendy's time was up. She should have been in a position to take a clear shot. The fact that she hadn't indicated that she couldn't get a clear shot. That meant it was time to improvise.
He already had his sonic rifle pointed at the two men. "I want to see some identification." He pivot the rifle down to cover the boxes that hid the Serenity crew. "You too." He swung it back up to cover the men on the catwalk. "New rule. The first one to show me some valid Gorram ID gets to avoid having a rifle pointed at them."

Zoe had to admit, Cavanaugh was a tough wong ba duhn.
"I'm going to need to see some credentials, if you think you've got the degree of authority to make a statement like that," "I'll also thank you to not conduct a Gorram firefight in the middle of my Gorram conversation.
Insane, but a tough wong ba duhn. Using the distraction to her advantage, Zoe quickly assessed the scene around her. She could see Shepard and the prone figures of Inara and Kaylee ducked behind some crates just inside the cargo bay. The Companion was definitely out but the latter seemed to be stirring. Good if they needed to make a quick getaway but, having seen the young mechanic in a firefight before, unconsciousness almost seemed more merciful.
Not far from them was Monty, taking cover behind some crates of his own. Up on the catwalk stood two men, impeccably dressed in suits, their hands covered by clinical looking blue gloves. Despite their well-dressed appearance, Zoe had no problems in picturin' them as the ones who took out Monty's crew. She couldn't help but get the feeling that her husband- now likely halfway across the planet at the rate that shuttle was moving- was the safest one of all of Serenity's inhabitants. Movement beside her caught her attention and instantly her gun was trained on the new figure. Getting a good look at her, she didn't seem like much of a threat to them. Of course, looks could always be misleading so Zoe didn't waver.
"We're here to help,"
So she was aligned with Cavanaugh. Zoe's eyes just barely moved to meet the Captain's. She knew what he was thinking. What else choice did they have? Making sure that the woman could see that it was still in a position where it could be quickly and easily raised if needed, Zoe lowered her weapon. "What do you have in mind?"
"Do they have Simon and River up there with them?"
This was met by stony silence. Friend of Cav's or not, there was not enough trust there to answer a question like that. As if anticipating their reluctance, the woman pressed on.
"I know they're on board." "If they're up there, we might be able to buy time but if not," "they're gonna end us real quick-like."
Like those men on Monty's ship. Whoever this woman was, it was obvious that she knew things. Another look passed between Zoe and Mal. They could protect River and the Doc now and like find themselves bleeding out the ears and the fugitives caught anyway or they could let on, deal with the immediate threat and worry about the fallout later. At the Captain's slight nod, she knew they had decided a course of action. "Just got here. Haven't seen either of them. Could be they found someplace to hide or our crew stumbled on these two before they had a chance to get any farther into the ship."

"I will ask you one more time. Identify yourselves or I will fire."
Wendy kept an ear on the happenings. The Hands of Blue weren't responding which wasn't good. They weren't feeling the need to answer, not that they ever answered to anybody. At least it looked like she was finally getting one of the crew to talk.
"Just got here. Haven't seen either of them. Could be they found someplace to hide or our crew stumbled on these two before they had a chance to get any farther into the ship."
Wendy gave a nod and before she could answer, she heard Cav talking again and this time, he was addressing the crew as well.
"I want to see some identification." He pivot the rifle down to cover the boxes that hid the Serenity crew. "You too." He swung it back up to cover the men on the catwalk. "New rule. The first one to show me some valid Gorram ID gets to avoid having a rifle pointed at them."
Wendy peaked over the edge of the box as Cav swung his rifle toward the boxes and trained her eyes on the Hands of Blue. Their hands went to their ears as soon as Cav turned away to point his rifle at them and she cursed under her breath. They'd put in their earplugs. They were out of patience and smart enough to keep out of range. As Cav turned back, she saw one of them reaching for his inside pocket.
She hunched back down, cursing under her breath. "We're outta time. I'm gonna try to convince them to leave," she said, quickly preparing herself as she worked out a plan. "They don't like leaving loose ends," she said, giving them pointed looks to signify her meaning. Whether they heeded her warning or not, she didn't know, but she hoped they'd at least hold off until she played out her plan.
Wendy stood up and faced Cav, holding up her hands in surrender, one of them holding her badge. "Stand down," she said with authority. Her eyes flitted to the catwalk, noting the slightest look of surprise flit across their face before returning to their usual blank expressions. Thankfully, she also noted that the one's hand had paused in his reach to his inner pocket. "You're interfering with a high level Alliance operation. I'm Agent Carter. They," she said with a nod toward the catwalk, noting with relief that the one's hand had dropped away from his pocket, "don't have ID to show you because they don't exist."
Wendy stepped around the boxes and addressed the Hands of Blue. "And you two got here just as I was about to make a clean exit," she scolded. "Target was never here. I've had enough time to search the ship and interview the crew." They eyed her skeptically. Of course, she had a lot to explain. A bar full of slaughtered Alliance, fleeing with a crew captained by someone from her past, never making contact with home base. "My past caught up with me and compromised my mission at the start. I had a lead and had to act fast so I improvised," she said with a shrug.

Hands of Blue
They had told Cavanaugh all he needed to know; these smugglers were unimportant but to be considered an obstacle that needed to be removed before this investigation could continue. "I'm going to need to see some credentials, if you think you've got the degree of authority to make a statement like that," he said as he continued to push for their papers.
How many of these types would they come across before this contract was done? It all ended the same way, without a second though... It was for the best. Some people just asked too many questions... The man glanced at his companion and merely looked back at the Captain without another word. He reached into his coat pocket and grasped the answer. "Stand down," came a very commanding voice as the fourth party showed herself. This did change things. "And you two got here just as I was about to make a clean exit... Target was never here. I've had enough time to search the ship and interview the crew." He raised an eyebrow at that. Everything had pointed to this ship. What did she know that they did not? It wouldn't change the fact that they couldn't just walk away. She would understand.
"My past caught up with me and compromised my mission at the start. I had a lead and had to act fast so I improvised." As if a few dead bodies mattered to them... Everyone in this room had been about to raise the tally, including the brash Alliance Captain standing below. "If that's the case Agent, then our work here is done." He smiled as he reached back into his pocket once more.
River
She could hear the screaming. It was coming from that awful light. She didn't know who turned it on but she needed to shut it off. Hatch-Table-Chairs-Food-Galley-Hallway-Latter. There was metal planking beneath her feet, she wasn't flying anymore. She could see there was someone standing in front of her. Two people but he needed to move. He had turned that blue light on!
Mal
The Captain was trying to come up with a plan of his own, taking advantage of the lull in the fight. They could talk all they want. "Zoe, I seem to recall some school of thought, your first rule? And you remember what I had to say about that?" Mal gave his pistol a once over and... what was that sound? It was as if all the air had been sucked out of the bay... Or too much pipped in? His ear's were pulsing like somebody firin' too close in a tight space. He couldn't think straight all of a sudden... Even as he saw the man topple over the rail above and crash to the floor in front of those fancy duds, he couldn't remember his plan. Then as that blue stick flew out of that lifeless hand and rolled away, he couldn't remember anything.

CAVANAUGH
He didn't have a clear shot. How can anybody move that fast? She'd be Gorram hard to beat in a fight. Small though and obviously still crazy.
There was something wet trickling out of Cav's nose as he tried to find a clear shot. One was already down. The ringing in his ears had disappeared, replaced with an odd pressure. It wasn't pain, not yet anyway. Something was also starting to go wrong with his eyes.
That must be the effects of their sonic weapon. Time to fight fire with fire. The only thing they've pulled out is that blue thing, so that's what I'll shoot at, at least while I can still see, sort of.
He triggered the sonic rifle, hoping that the almost physical burst of sound waves would break the device that was likely going to kill them all within the next few seconds.
I won't even get the chance to say goodbye to Inara.

As Cav aimed his sonic rifle at the device, it's power began to waver but it persisted its damage even in a weakened state. In a flash, Wendy shattered it with a bullet then trained her gun up at the Hand of Blue, now in shooting range thanks to River's interference.
As the shock of them activating the device wore off, Wendy felt her anger rising. "Did you know I was wearing the ear plugs," she paused, glaring, "or am I part of the work here that's done?" she asked coldly.

Monty
It was the worst pain he had felt in a good long while. His nose was bleedin something fierce and his hearing was dulled but Monty felt the force from that newtech rifle in the purple belly's hand. A few quick pops rang out, small arms fire, and suddenly the pain stopped. What had he done, was he helping them? Whatever he did it worked. It was enough to give him pause, with a quick glance up to the catwalk above the captain could see the remaining suit had his attention on a young girl standing a few paces away. "Gorramit, what in the sam-hell is goin on here?"

Hands of Blue
"Did you know I was wearing the ear plugs," Wendy said while throwing a glare his way, "or am I part of the work here that's done?". Time was short as someone had disabled the wave emitter. Without a second thought he produced another device and induced a sleep like state in the subject before him. "Eta Kooram Nah Smech" he murmured as he caught her under the arm and slowly turned to look down on his accuser.
"You are trained to be resourceful Agent Carter. Our work here IS done and we have a schedule to keep, unless there is anything else?" His voice retained its casual tone, as if one were having lunch. His eyes however... they bore through Wendy like an ice pick.

As Wendy kept her eye and gun trained on the Hand of Blue, she willed River to back away but with four short words, River promptly dropped right into his gorram arms. "gǒushǐ," she muttered under her breath. She was a damn good shot but you there was never a way to know what direction a body would fall. If he went over the rafters, he could take River with him. Best thing to do would be to get him ground level.
"You are trained to be resourceful Agent Carter. Our work here IS done and we have a schedule to keep, unless there is anything else?"
Satisfied with that answer, she lowered her gun. She gave the surroundings a cursory glance for any sign of the doctor and felt relief that he was still hidden somewhere. Looking back up, she responded just as casually. "Nah, I think we're good here." Now come on down here so I can shoot you in the face, you gǒucàode húndàn.
Continuing the charade, Wendy trained her gun in the direction of the crates as she addressed them in a bored-like tone. "Anyone attempting to prevent us--well, y'all already heard the spiel as the good Captain here covered it earlier. Captain," she said, throwing a glance to Cav, "we'd appreciate your continued service in keeping these guys in check as we make our exit."
It was the best she could think of. They didn't know her and therefore didn't know they could trust her earlier promise that she was on their side. By handing Cavanaugh the duty of covering them, a man they knew and trusted to be on their side, she hoped it would send the message across. Yes, she was on their side. Yes, she was trying to formulate a way to put the odds back in their favor. In River's favor. And if it worked, hopefully it would put her in their favor. Or at the least, Dr. Tam's.
[gǒushǐ = shit] [gǒucàode húndàn = doghumping asshole]

Mal
"Captain," the Agent said, "We'd appreciate your continued service in keeping these guys in check as we make our exit." He had a clear shot. He should take it. Any other time and he would have! But the Captain lowered his pistol. He gestured over to Monty to do the same. The big man was getting flustered he could tell but he trusted Mal so he followed his lead. Reynolds knew Cavanaugh wouldn't betray them, rather he wouldn't betray Inara. They had a plan and he'd do his best to stay out of it. He wiped the blood from his lip and with a reassurance from Zoe, slid over to the far wall to check on his crew.
Hands of Blue
With no further outbursts from the smugglers he lifted the subject carefully in his arms and began to descend the stairs. "Agent Carter," he said as he became level with Wendy, "You have been away from the Academy too long, perhaps? I would look to your tracking when you can not smell the cheese dangling in front of your nose." He turned his back and started for the ramp when the man turned one final time to address the room. "And if my heart stops so does this ships part in this little adventure." As he looked back towards his own vessel a missile turret locked onto Serenity.
