"Oh my gosh, I'm so...", Gold heard a female voice apologizing even before he could have ckecked what happened at all. Then when he came to look up at the woman's face, it was like looking in the eyes of a zombie, a vacant expression laying on them. Questioning Gold's head turned to the guys being with the woman, and when he saw the headshrinker among them, the scales suddenly fell from his eyes. It was the neurotic!
"...so sorry.", she lastly ended up her sentence after several moments of silence. "Mrs. Rampion.", Gold spoke up with a warm smile. "I'm glad to see you outside." He didn't react to the young woman's apologize nor to the fact that she has bumped into him. It was not like he was a furious monster yelling at everyone, who crosses his way anyway. Or was he? The smile didn't disappear from his face, as he continued talking. "This is a nice day for a walk, isn't it?" For one little moment his eyes turned to the young man on Mrs. Rampion's side. So the thief was here too, probably thinking that he wouldn't know about something in his shop has been missed.

Callie's eyes were wide as Christian played every part the hero, whisking his lady fair from the clutches of the evil witch. Not that Vanessa was evil. Well, Callie didn't think she was. Okay, the jury was still out on that.
Quickly leaving the diner far behind, taking care not to stop until they were well away from any other chance encounters with the woman, Callie's fingers began flying.
"Christian, that was amazing! Did you see her face?" Callie supposed that no one had ever walked out on Miss Vanessa Bennett before. "Sweet freedom!"

"Ms. Rampion." "I'm glad to see you outside."
He did know who she was. And apparently was aware of her...situation. But that isn't what freaked her out the most. It was the smile. The warm smile seemed out of character for the "most feared man in Storybrooke".
Maybe Errol was wrong.
Well, as likely of a possibility that usually was, Lily didn't think he was in this case. But Lily also wasn't one to be rude so she genuinely returned the smile.
"This is a nice day for a walk, isn't it?"
"Perfect," she agreed, laughing lightly, "Though I suppose I don't have many other days to compare it to yet."
This wasn't so bad. But Lily now found herself at a loss as to what to say next. 'YOUR STOLEN TIARA IS IN MY UNDERWEAR DRAWER!' probably wasn't a good choice. As wasn't, 'I HEAR EVERYONE IS TERRIFIED OF YOU, CARE TO WEIGH IN?'
What else did she know about Mr. Gold?
"I, uh, I'm told that you own the only antique store in town. That has to be pretty fascinating work." That's right, Lily. Run the man over and then bore him to death. Good tactic.

Gold interacting with Lily so far it was only mildly painful to watch...
"I, uh, I'm told that you own the only antique store in town. That has to be pretty fascinating work."
Or things could always get worse. At least she has screamed "I have your stolen tiara!" before running away manically screaming which is good because I didn't like handcuffs... Well I say that but I mean... I follows this up but lightly patting Lily on her butt before moving my hand onto the small of her back standing tightly next to her.
"Everything ok here my little Shirayuri?" I asked planting a kiss on her cheek before whispering in her ear "I'll kick his cane away then you make a run for it."

*Drake leaves his house and enters Storybrooke Main Street*
Before leaving home Drake took a look from his apartment window and noticed the old clock was still working and smiled. "Well, maybe it's some kind of lucky sing" As he steps on the main street he lighted up a cigarette and headed to Granny's.

"Perfect,", Mrs. Neurotic answered with a cheery smile. It really seemed the doc did a good job here, which actually made him smile again. Wait, how come? "Though I suppose I don't have many other days to compare it to yet." Well, the day was just the start of a change and somehow let him act a little... friendly? This fact let him smile even more. Yah, ridiculous.
Just as Gold wanted to say something else, the young woman toward him again seemed to become zombie-like. He was sure, that the doc and Mr. Charm next to her had warned her against the most terrifying man in town beforehand.
"I, uh, I'm told that you own the only antique store in town. That has to be pretty fascinating work.", she then suddenly got her voice back. Again Gold replied with a smile, this time however interrupted by Mr. Charm here, holding her tightly to his side, as if she was some kind of fresh meat has to be protected against a carnivorous monster...
"Everything ok here my little Shirayuri?", the young man asked her, let some whispered words follow into her ear.
"Good morning, Mr. Wayne. It's nice to see someone nowadays treating a woman like..." Mr. Gold let a short pause follow, before a barely perceptible grin appeared around his lips. "... a crown."

Archie was very worried about Lily. She hadn’t declared she wanted to go home yet, and that was a good thing. Still, the jumps from nervous to excited must be rather draining on her. He did want to hurry her to his office, and give her a chance to calm down a little. No need to rush her into anything. At his office, they could have a nice, calming cup of tea, let the constant new stimuli subside, and just relax before moving on. It would give all of them a bit of a break.
Even as he tried to lead the way, Errol said something Archie wished he hadn’t heard, and his face turned almost as red as Lily’s. He felt like he was intruding on their conversation, and he tried desperately not to eavesdrop. But, before he knew it, Lily had bumped into Mr. Gold, of all people. A conversation with the pawnbroker certainly wouldn’t help Lily calm down. Still, he let her handle it on her own, until everyone, besides Mr. Gold of course, seemed uncomfortable. “Nice to see you, Mr. Gold,” Archie greeted, keeping the nerves out of his voice somehow. “But, if you don’t mind, Lily, Errol, and I need to continue to my office. Perhaps you could continue this conversation some other time?”

"Good morning, Mr. Wayne. It's nice to see someone nowadays treating a woman like..." "... a crown."
Lily didn't have a moment to react Errol's ill-chosen timing for slapping her bottom or the protective way he whispered in his ear before Gold revealed his hand and her heart fell into her stomach. Okay, maybe not literally since that would mean that she would be dead and this moment of terror and mortification would be over. Yet here she still was, sure her face was was frozen in an expression of absolute guilt and horror. Gosh, she wished she was a better liar.
Suddenly, a loud, nervous laugh bubbled up into her throat and filled the air. People started looking in her direction as she desperately tried to stop but it seemed to be fueled by her awkward state. 'No, no, no. Lily, stop! Make it stop!'
“Nice to see you, Mr. Gold,” “But, if you don’t mind, Lily, Errol, and I need to continue to my office. Perhaps you could continue this conversation some other time?”
When all hope seemed lost, Archie appeared like a warrior angel, shining halo and wings and all. It was all Lily could do not to plant a big kiss on his freckled cheek. The nervous laughter, no longer the center of attention, faded quietly until it was just soft giggles and then nothing. She nodded emphatically, agreeing with Archie's statement that they needed to go. "It was, uh, it was... It was very nice to meet you, Mr. Gold. Um, enjoy your day."
She couldn't get out of there fast enough, grabbing Errol's arm and dragging him down the street in the direction she hoped Archie's office was.

Christian
The excitement was radiant all over Callie's face as they made their escape down the block. They seemed to be heading downtown toward the busier shops. Christian altered their course slightly to cross the street when he caught sight of Mr. Gold and a few others conversing, their backs blocking their faces from view. "Christian, that was amazing! Did you see her face? Sweet freedom!" The young lady signed rapidly after withdrawing her hand from his. He had a good laugh before drawing in a breath. "I don't think I can erase the fury that was burned into my eyes from that expression!"
He wiggled his fingers turning his hand from one side to the other. The warmth of Callie's hand still lingered in his and his face suddenly felt warm again. There was a first time for everything, and the man wished it had lasted a bit longer. Nodding to their side, Christian saw a nice comfy bench where they could take a seat, perhaps enjoy their breakfast before it got too cold. "This is a nice spot, don't you think? Looks like Gail took care of us proper." The bag had utensils and everything they could need.

The scowl seemed permanently etched on Regina's face as her heels clicked down the pavement. Both the ticking of that damn clock tower and the yellow VW Bug currently sitting on her main street rather than on the road back to Boston had done nothing to improve her mood, which continued to worsen with each Storybook resident she passed. Each smiling face breaking the routine they had followed for the past twenty eight years.
This woman- this Emma Swan. She was to blame. Regina didn't know why yet, but she would find out. One thing was for certain- the blonde woman would not be staying long.
She would have to pay a little visit to Dr. Hopper to ensure that. But that could wait. In order to survive an entire day of disgustingly chipper townsfolk, she would need her morning coffee.

His laughter had a cadence to it, much like waves rolling in from the sea to crash upon the shore. It was a magical sound. One that felt so familiar to her. But what really captured her attention was how it made his eyes twinkle and dance...
No! If she went down that road, there was absolutely no hope of paying attention to what he was saying. And Callie really did want to know him better. There would be plenty of time for eye staring afterwards. Weeks, months, maybe even years....
"I don't think I can erase the fury that was burned into my eyes from that expression!"
If possible, her grin widened but she quickly hid it as she attempted an exaggerated impression of 'The Look'. Her nose scrunched up and her eyes narrowed but halfway through she got a good look at Christian's face. His skin was beginning to become a slight shade of red. Was he- was he blushing? The grin appeared again, ruining any chance she had at looking intimidating. With it, she could feel her own cheeks start to heat up. He looked adorable when he blushed.
"This is a nice spot, don't you think? Looks like Gail took care of us proper."
'Forget cookies for life, we'll name our first born after her.....' She was sure that her cheeks turned even pinker at that. Instead, she nodded emphatically as she settled on the bench.
"We certainly owe her one!' Callie thought quickly back to their conversation at the diner, "So, you build little tiny boats?"

Mr. Gold has been focused on that little thief, till a loud, nervous laugh suddenly made him turn around. The smile disappeared completely for a moment, though the Neurotic's face actually should have given him a reason to even widen it. But this was just... disturbing.
“Nice to see you, Mr. Gold,” “But, if you don’t mind, Lily, Errol, and I need to continue to my office. Perhaps you could continue this conversation some other time?”, the Doctor's voice lastly drew his attention away from her.
"It was, uh, it was... It was very nice to meet you, Mr. Gold. Um, enjoy your day.", the neurotic girl added herself.
The friendly, but uninterpretable smile appeared back on Gold's lips. "Sure.", he answered, seeing the relief behind everyone's mask, before he added in Mr. Wayne's direction: "You probably don't mind giving me one minute of your time, don't you?" The smile widened, becoming somehow nasty.

"You probably don't mind giving me one minute of your time, don't you?"
I looked around in surprise, me? Why would he want to talk to me... Ok I know why, but as if. I have never cared for Ol' Limpy over there so why start now. "Ya know this is such terrible timing, last time I was in Arch's office I was reading a Dr. Suess book and would you believe that wacky cat decides to come back and I just gotta know what happens, it is really something I can't miss out on. Oh Dr. Suess you are silly yet whimsical." I put my arm out in a lead the way gesture to Archie who I hoped to god would hurry up and lead the way "Shall we?"

Archie was not prepared for Errol's response. It was true that he had Dr. Seuss books in his office, but he wasn't sure that Errol had actually read them, or if this was just a ploy to get away from Mr. Gold. Not that Archie could blame Errol for not wanting to end up alone with the pawnbroker.
"We'll see you later, Mr. Gold," he said, nodding goodbye before leading the way to his office. Whatever he wanted to discuss with Errol would have to wait for another time.

Oh Dr. Suess you are silly yet whimsical.", Mr. Wayne answered him very quickly, and even added a "Shall we?"to his companions.
Mr. Gold's expression somehow hardened at that. Now, this was one of the dopiest pretexts he has ever heard. Couldn't the thief had come up with at least something more imaginative? And just as Mr. Gold opened his mouth to demand on their little conversation, the doctor preempt him.
"We'll see you later, Mr. Gold," And with these words, followed by a hesitant nod, the three of them walked on by.
"Good day.", Gold whispered inwardly angry, when they already weren't able to hear him anymore. He lingered there for some more seconds, before he turned around his cane within his hand, ready to continue his way towards his shop. This time the thief may escaped him, but next time he won't just ask for a minute. A smile appeared back on Gold's face. No one steals from him. At least not without a lesson. Oh how he was looking forward to that next time...

“Cobra?" "But that has nothing to do with fairytales."
“Exactly! We have to throw my mom off the trail.” Everyone would know what they were doing if they called it Operation Break the Curse. This mission required some secrecy if they were to get anywhere. “If she finds out we’re trying to break the curse, she’ll stop us. We’ve got to do everything we can to stop her from finding out.”

Trying to argue Henry's beliefs was a waste of time. He was extremely tenacious. Maybe she'd get a better sense of exactly what was going on is she just played along.
"So, everyone here is fairytale character, they just don't know it."
It was said as a statement as if showing she was accepting it as fact. As Henry spoke, Emma listened and looked over the apple in her hand. It was probably the nicest, perfectly red and juicy looking apple she'd ever seen. She raised it, intending to take a bite.

"So, everyone here is fairytale character, they just don't know it."
“Yup!” Henry agreed. “Because of the curse, they don’t …” he froze mid-sentence as he noticed the apple in Emma’s hand. She reached it toward her mouth, like she was actually going to take a bite of the fruit. “Wait!” he yelled, needing to stop her before she poisoned herself. “Where did you get that?” If she’d bought it at the store, Henry would let her eat it, but he doubted that was the case. His mom was already trying to poison and kill Emma. Too bad for her, he was around to protect the Savior until she started believing.

Christian
"I do indeed, but its not as bad as it sounds. At least I don't think so." Christian stopped for a moment and withdrew a tiny model from his pocket. "See? I secure them in there and even manage a little scenery. It's for you, you can name her whatever you like." He smiled at Callie as he handed the bottle over to her.
"But that's enough about my silly hobbies. Guess it comes from watching people come and go in them all day long. Never saw one like that before though. Sails and everything." It was a tall three masted ship. With a broad beam and high aft castle. He didn't want her to feel guilty but he had had that one for as long as he could remember. Couldn't remember making it oddly enough. But it seemed so familiar. "Do you work here in town Callie?" She hadn't given him any reason to believe it was so but the young man hoped this wasn't when he found out she was only in town for a few days or she was moving.

Emma listened but her concentration was half on the deliciously perfect looking apple. Startled at Henry's sudden outburst, she froze, the apple stopping near her lips.
After a moment of befuddled pause at to why he'd taken a sudden interest in the apple, she shrugged and answered. "From your mom," before once again bringing the apple in for a bite. Faster than she could process, she was staring at her empty hand as the apple was sailing through the air. She gave Henry an incredulous look.

"From your mom,"
“Don’t eat that!” Henry yelled, already grabbing the apple and tossing it away. How could Emma even think about eating an apple that the Evil Queen had given her? “It could be poisoned,” he explained at her look. He couldn’t believe he had to remind her that his mother was in the habit of poisoning apples. “Don’t ever eat an apple my mom gives you.”

"Okay... Um..." After a couple of seconds of recuperating from that dramatic display, she tried to think of some other questions. Somewhere, somehow, there had to be a question that would trip up this belief of his. Only then would she be able to start cracking this fantasy of his and maybe get him on track to being a normal kid with a normal life who did not fear his adoptive mother. "Uh, alright. What about their pasts?"

She was finally asking the right questions! Henry knew she’d be a good part of Operation Cobra! “They don’t know. It’s a haze to them. Ask anyone anything, and you’ll see.” Henry had done an experiment a few weeks before going to get his mom. He’d asked everyone a bunch of questions. When did you move here? How long has my mom been mayor?and How long have you worked here? had been just a few of his questions. All of the answers had been some variant of for as long as I can remember. It was just more evidence that Henry was right about the curse.

There was an underlying dry, facetiousness to her tone that Henry didn't hear or at least, didn't choose to hear. He appeared to be perking up as if he thought she was starting to believe. As crazy as she thought this whole idea was, she found herself mentally making note to casually question some of the town folk, an idea that had her mentally shaking her head at herself. Was she actually starting to buy in on this and was Henry picking up on that before she was even realizing it? The kid fought hard for what he believed in, a trait that reminded her of herself.
"So..." she continued in the same, somewhat facetious tone, "for decades, people have been walking around, in a haze, not aging, with screwed up memories, stuck in a cursed town that kept them oblivious."

“I knew you’d get it!” Henry was beaming. For the first time, someone was starting to believe in him. And, it wasn’t just any someone. His mom, the Savior, was starting to believe in the curse! They’d break it quickly, for sure! So long as Emma kept trying to believe, that was.
“That’s why we need you. You’re the only one who can stop her curse.” The book made that abundantly clear. Without Emma, they’d all be stuck in the curse forever. With Emma, they had a chance to be free. That was why it was so important for Emma to stay, and to believe.

"I do indeed, but its not as bad as it sounds. At least I don't think so." "See? I secure them in there and even manage a little scenery. It's for you, you can name her whatever you like."
It didn't sound bad to her. Not at all. In fact, when he handed her the beautifully crafted miniature ship Callie thought that she would melt right then and there. It was the most romantic thing anyone had ever given her. She believed it was the most romantic thing anyone had ever given to anyone. There was a peculiar tugging at her heart and somehow she knew that Christian had just given her his most prized possession.
"But that's enough about my silly hobbies. Guess it comes from watching people come and go in them all day long. Never saw one like that before though. Sails and everything."
She studied the woodwork, intricate despite its size and suddenly Callie knew what to call her. She looked so much like the ship that Callie often saw in her dreams...though much smaller, of course. If nothing else had proven that she and Christian were meant to be, the tiny vessel in her hands sealed the deal that he was literally the man of her dreams.
"Do you work here in town Callie?"
Callie nodded, slipping the ship into the safety of her coat pocket. "I teach swimming lessons at the community center on the weekends but I also just took a job in town working at the bakery. Actually my first day was yesterday."
Work though, despite how much she loved her new job, was currently the furthest thing from her mind and after a beat her fingers began moving again. "The Shooting Star. That is her name."

“I knew you’d get it!”
“That’s why we need you. You’re the only one who can stop her curse.” "Because I'm the daughter of Snow White and Prince Charming?" She smirked at herself. That was definitely the most random, craziest sentence that had ever come out of her mouth and a mental image of herself chasing down a bounty in a princess dress and tiara added to the craziness of the idea.

Christian
Callie inspected the gift with great care and amazement! She smiled and put the ship safely away before proceeding to sign, "I teach swimming lessons at the community center on the weekends but I also just took a job in town working at the bakery. Actually my first day was yesterday." Before Christian knew it he started to laugh. Not a mocking tone but one of harmless amusement.
"Forgive me Callie I just have this dream that I'm drowning. One of those recurring ones I'm afraid." He did not stop smiling to disarm any concern before it started. "It's ridiculous I know but I have never had any formal swimming classes. Never even tried just jumping in as a result!" the young man said, finishing with a chuckle. "I believe congratulations are in order with your new job! Here is hoping it is the start of something that makes you very happy."
He laughed again and it seemed like forever since he was this happy himself. After wiping a tear from the corner of his eye he noticed Callie was staring at him thoughtfully. "The Shooting Star. That is her name." The delicate features before him were suddenly replaced by the blinding sun. It faded as his eyes adjusted to the wide open sea. His feet on the deck of a ship. His Feet! He left the wheel and approached the rail looking back to see another ship in pursuit. He got a good look at the aft castle of the vessel on which he stood.
With a jolt he was again sitting before Callie. What had he just seen? The ship he had just given her? His brow furrowed. "That name..." What he had seen... It was impossible. But it seemed right... Why did he know it? It dawned on Christian that he must look strange. The last thing he needed was for Callie to think he was crazy. "That name... I like it." he smiled reassuringly.

A blank look appeared on Christian's face and Callie worried that he'd hated the name. But it disappeared as quickly as it had come. With his sincere-sounding approval of The Shooting Star, Callie realized that either he was a very good liar or whatever had come over him was not about the name. She was leaning towards the latter. But was it something he'd even want to talk about on their first official date of all things?
Filing it away for later, perhaps their fifth or sixth date, Callie latched onto his response to her employment, "If you wanted, I could teach you how to swim. Every proper sailor, or builder of boats, should know how to," she teased with a wink, "You don't have to worry Christian, I would never let you drown."

"Because I'm the daughter of Snow White and Prince Charming?"
“Yes, and right now, we have the advantage. My mom doesn’t know that.” Henry had gone to great lengths to make sure she hadn’t discovered the book for as long as possible. But he’d known Regina would find it eventually.“I took out the end. The part with you in it,” he told Emma as he reached into his backpack, pulling out the loose pages. The ones his mother could never, ever get ahold of. “See? Your mom is Snow White.”
