As Jones felt his sword pushed harmlessly aside the person spoke again. "Oh boy, seems we've got a newbie here!", it exclaimed as the blindfold fell to the ground. "Hey guys, you gotta help me out!" Killian couldn't find the words as he looked at this blue half-man before him. Literally it seemed as if it had oozed out of the trinket he had fished from the swamp. "Guys?" was all he had time to mutter as the creature split into three versions of himself, each with legs now standing before the captain.
"Three wishes!", one of them wearing a pair of big round glasses shouted as he was pointing to a large black board which now bore the words he had spoken... Magic... This was some kind of magic. "Three wishes for what? Why would you do a thing like that? What kind of price do you demand?" Hook had never known someone to offer three wishes out of the kindness of their hearts... Or even a pint for that matter! And he wasn't about to start trusting a man like this. Especially in Neverland.

"Three wishes for what? Why would you do a thing like that? What kind of price do you demand?"
"Hey! The boy in the front row!", Genie shouted out in an angry tone, all of a sudden appeared right in front of him and pressed his nose against the man ones. Then, in the same manner his voice got angry it switched back to his usual gush of humor. "Didn't see your finger raise.", he said admonishingly. "Wait! What?", he suddenly paused, just realizing the man's words. "What a price, master?", Genie seriously was perplexed. The two other members of the blue men group, up until now stayed on Hook's side, had vanished, just as the black board and the glasses on teacher Genie's nose. "This is my job."

"This is my job." Simple, to the point. And an utterly unhelpful statement! "It's your job? To hand out wishes?"... So this being was bound to it's fate. If it had been trapped inside that golden prison then it wasn't likely something one could walk away from... The captain took several steps closer now and stared down his companion, not bringing his sword up but not lowering it either. "Who do you work for mate, and why did you call me master? I didn't put you in that bloody thing." This was starting to sound too good to be true. Jones needed answers not a show. The most important thing he needed to remember was this was Pan's island and while he was here, he was at the mercy of any number of twisted games including a ruse just like this...

"It's your job? To hand out wishes?"
The expression on Genie's face changed a little, as he heard the questions. Well, wasn't like he had filled out an application or something..., he answered just in mind. He watched the man coming closer, still holding the little toothpick in his hand, with which he couldn't impress the Genie anyway.
"Who do you work for mate, and why did you call me master? I didn't put you in that bloody thing."
"Hey!", he suddenly interrupted by holding out his forefinger to the sword's point again, as it would be rubbery. This time his face expression was angry, as this master was starting to get on his nerves. "You did rub my lamp and now you'll get your wishes, got me?"

"You did rub my lamp and now you'll get your wishes, got me?" Hook pondered his options one more time. Why this had to become so complicated... his luck didn't amount to much since arriving here. But this might change things. Especially since he had learned a few things with the time granted to him by Neverland... "Three wishes... and no strings attached?" Right off the top of his head Killian had a thought that made him smile, a very sinister grin. "I have more than a few enemies. Try not to act surprised mate..."

Genies facial features smoothed, as he watched the hooked man pondering about his words. Com'on, boy, don't have all day..., he sang in mind, as the man finally took the floor.
"Three wishes... and no strings attached?" "Nope.", Genie answered in a quick way, leaning on his fist again and examined his fingernails. That's why he didn't realized the sinister grin, suddenly spreading out on the pirate's face.
"I have more than a few enemies. Try not to act surprised mate..." Genie looked up with a little changed expression on his face. He had an suspicion what this did amount to, but temporized for the time being...

"That sounds simple enough." That was just what the captain was hoping to hear. "Well lets just get one out of the way right now, and I'm afraid it isn't for money or fame or anything of the sort... I want that crocodile, here right now... I want to see him dead." Hook finished pointing his hook at the ground before him.
"You can do that can't you?" He just had the awful thought that Rumpelstiltskin might appear before him, alive and well. That was not something he was equipped to deal with at the moment, not alone anyhow. "Here... but dead. That's a very important part of the wish, you could say."

"Well lets just get one out of the way right now, and I'm afraid it isn't for money or fame or anything of the sort... I want that crocodile, here right now... I want to see him dead."
Genie rolled his eyes. Great! His new master was one of that sort. Actually he should have known, considering the hook and the tons of mascara. Maybe he finally should lodge a complaint at the trade union for Genies... if there was one. Before Genie could have halt this, his master continued, while Genie's forefinger already was raised up to interpose.
"You can do that can't you?""Here... but dead. That's a very important part of the wish, you could say."
"Ok, timeout, buddy!", Genie now broke in, laying his entire hand on the master's jaw for a moment. "To be honest, there are a few provisos, a couple of quid pro quos.", he began, freeing the man from his grip. "Rule 1: I can't kill anybody." His words were accompanied by his raised finger.

"So there are rules after all... What else can't I wish for Mr- What am I supposed to call you anyway?" Jones added when he realized he did not know this creatures name. No killing... Well that didn't stop him from asking for something that could do the job? He had been able to find out that the Dark One was tethered to something, an object that both gave him his strength and could take it away... But he didn't know what it was exactly. He couldn't rightly wish for something so vague.
Perhaps then something to protect himself with he mused as he looked down at his own hook. Wait, in his haste he almost passed over his best lead! Knowledge is power. Information could serve him well and would be worth using a wish. "I don't know how long you have been in that lamp but do you know of a being called the Dark One?"

"So there are rules after all... What else can't I wish for Mr- What am I supposed to call you anyway?"
Just as Genie wanted to raise a second finger to proclaim the next rule, the question about his name made him suddenly pause. "You seriously have no idea who I am.", he realized with a surprised look on his face, as he always was used to be a hunted existence, again and again buffeted between masters, willing to become powerful, ready to do everything, not hesitating to call out the most atrocious wishes... But well, that's the way things went for him.
"I don't know how long you have been in that lamp but do you know of a being called the Dark One?"
"I am...", Genie continued while raising up to nonnatural size again, ignoring his new master's last words for the time being. It even was possible that he haven't heard them at all. "...the ever impressive... the long-contained... the often immitated, but never... duplicated..." As if by comment Genie multiplied himself, this time in many of him standing in a row. "... Genie of the Lamp!" The copies behind started to jubilate loud through the inner of the cavern, while the original let appear a microphone in his hand, which let his voice sound even more louder. "Right here, direct from the lamp. For autographs and groupie photos please join the end of the queue. Thank you." Genie was completely in his element right now and that meant... well, meant that maybe somebody had to stop the show to get his attention back...

"Alright I'll humor this madness, Genie of the Lamp." Hook said as he addressed the multiple forms. If he couldn't have this being hurt the crocodile then Killian would make sure he would be safe while he figured out how to do the job himself. "If you are so powerful, then I want protection. I want to make sure there is nothing Rumpelstiltskin can do to kill me. That is my first wish."
He took a step back and waited to see what happened next. He didn't feel any different but he wasn't sure what to expect. "Do I have to make all my wishes now? This deal between us, it can't expire now will it?"

"Alright I'll humor this madness, Genie of the Lamp."
Genie halted and the copys behind him vanished all of a sudden. He made a huffy face, while slumping down back to his normal size.
"If you are so powerful, then I want protection. I want to make sure there is nothing Rumpelstiltskin can do to kill me. That is my first wish.""Do I have to make all my wishes now? This deal between us, it can't expire now will it?"
"Rumpelstiltskin?", the surprised question escaped Genie's lips, while his right hand almost automatically raised and a blue coloured haze went out of it, right towards his master's body. The haze embraced him for a moment, before it vanished in a light sparkle. The first wish has been granted. Two more left. "There's no such thing as a DEAL between us, buddy.", he lastly clarified one more time. Geez, this guy really had a memory like a sieve. "I'm a Genie and this is my job. So either you make all your wishes right now or you'll excuse me, going back into my suite to get some beauty rest." On the last words Genie pointed to the lamp.

As the blue mist dissipated around him Killian had a feeling the Crocodile wouldn't be looking forward to their next meeting quite so much as he had thought. The pirate smiled as he considered the possibilities.
"I'm a Genie and this is my job. So either you make all your wishes right now or you'll excuse me, going back into my suite to get some beauty rest."
"You had best get some rest then, number two will have to wait until we get back to the ship, my new friend!" The Captain secured the lamp firmly to his belt beneath his coat. As long as he held onto the Genie's home he would be cashing in on the last two wishes when the times where right.

"You had best get some rest then, number two will have to wait until we get back to the ship, my new friend!"
"Oh yah, of course, master...", Genie began to babble quitly, while leaning again the chin on his fist. He was tired of this, but couldn't change it anyway. When he wasn't needed anymore, he had to scram into this filthy oil lamp again, waiting for his master's next wish. "Well then, you know how to ring the doorbell." With these words Genie was getting smaller, till he wasn't more than a blue swath, disappearing into the lamp on the pirate's belt.

The shadow was sailing through the air, searching for the human, who was responsible for Pan's anger. Pan has tried to hide it, but there was no way the shadow wouldn't feel it. No way it wouldn't smell it. A pervasive whisper accompanied the shadow's every single move, reverberated out of every bush, out of every corner of the jungle. It was close. The shadow felt it. The scent of... no, there was no fear in the air. It was... The shadow was flying alongside a slope, down to a little cove, a swampy ground underneath, as finally the back of a man came into it's focus. This scent, it was familiar. It was the scent of... ...confidence.

He knew before he saw anything. The Genie had retired but there was a complete lack of noise now. No crickets. Not even a breeze. The shadow had found him.
Jones spun around and saw them. Those glowing eyes suspended above him. With one quick motion the Captain yanked a moss covered branch off a nearby tree. He held this makeshift weapon at the ready. Hook waited for that minion to make the next move.

Genie heard that whispering sound from out of the lamp and he curiously had a short look through the spout.
"Struth!", he called out, which maybe could be heard as a muffled tone. What was that thingy and why the hell his master was using a branch instead of his little toothpick, which at least was a little more impressive. But never mind, what kind of a weapon he had used, it would be pointless anyway against this shadow thing. "Hey, uh, Buddy!", Genie tried to get his master's attention, who hadn't tell his name yet. Just the problem was to get someone's attention, when you're stuck in a filthy oil lamp. "There are two wishes left, remember?"
From out of the little view of the spout Genie watched the shadow coming closer...

Hook could hear the Genie calling to him but his attention was all on the shadow as it came closer. Almost right where he wanted it. "Hey, uh, Buddy!" Killian heard the exclamation which he could assume was directed at him. It hit the back of his mind that he hadn't introduced himself to the wish-maker.
Now! The Captain struck his hook against a dry piece of slate and the sparks caught the moss on fire. It took a second to really ignite but the Shadow was blessedly not in a hurry. Waving the brand back and forth seemed to have the desired effect as Jones was able to halt his opponents advance. "Really, you didn't see that coming?" He chuckled as he glanced about for the most clear path of escape.

The shadow was coming closer. Not allowed to kill, but to scare. Why the man wasn't scared? The scent of confidence still was surrounding him, mixed with the scent of something different. Something powerful. The Shadow was getting curious. As it was about to come closer, to finally give the man a real scare, a bright light made it shrink back. Fire. A screeching sound was filling the air around. The shadow could nothing do against light. Just could do one thing. Kill the light. Suddenly the shadow began to twirl, blowing his cold breathe in the fire's direction. As it happens the fire started to flicker. Another sound accompanied the whisper and the quite screams. Was it laughter?

The shadow had a trick or two of its own it seemed. As it began to twirl, the firebrand started to flicker. Jones had to make a snap decision. With a twist of his wrist he brought the torch back and then hurled it right into the shadows core. "You look hungry, mate"
Without waiting to see its reaction Killian ran in the direction of the waves he could hear lapping the nearby coastline. The Jolly Roger would not be far.

Just as the shadow stopped to twirl, something was hurled right into it's core. The light. The fire. The shadow was screeching louder than ever before. The fire wasn't able to defeat it, but it hurt. It left behind a hole, which only could get refilled with the energy of the deepest dark. The shadow had to turn back. Out of the pain, the void caused, it saw the man running. Right towards the coast. There was no way out. The shadow was too weak to follow him, so it decided to watch the scene just a little longer. Pan would want to get answers. And the shadow needed his healing. So it was waiting. Watching.

Genie hasn't been able to see everything what was going on. A spout was not exactly the best observation deck. The sudden noise of something screeching had made him cover his ears though. And now everything was shaking like in a freakin' rollercoaster. "EY!", Genie was shouting out of the spout, in hopes of getting his master's attention this time. "What's goin' on here?"

The Genie was calling out again and the Captain took a second to check for pursuit. He seemed to be alone once more. Jones could spare a moment as he stopped on the beach just past the treeline.
"We had some unwanted company my incorporeal friend. One not unlike yourself. Although he didnt grant wishes. He prefers to take them away..." With a quick glance up and down the clearing he plunged into the surf, wading out to his ship.
