Eric waited as the man walked around the room picking things up with feigned interest. Finally he chimed in, "You just answered your own question then, dearie," it replied with a shrug, as he continued to walk around the room it seemed as if he was trying to buy some time. "You wanna tell me what it is that has to be solved in the first place?"
"If you need me to say it then fine, I assume you are here because you have heard of my father's illness." He mustered the courage and blocked the Dark Ones path. "None of the kingdoms clerics or physicians can cure him. His affliction cannot even be properly diagnosed." The prince caught a trinket as his counterpart tossed it into the air before he could catch it himself. Eric placed it back down on the table nearby. "I assume you can succeed were they have failed..."

The Dark One didn't stop to kill time by walking through the room and playing with the stuff lying around, while he listened to the prince's explanation.
"...I assume you can succeed where they have failed..." Rumple looked up at him, as Eric replaced the trinket he had just sent upwards, back down on the table nearby. What a kill-joy.
"Of course I can.", he eventually replied with an impish smile, while he drew his attention away from the odds and ends inside the room back to business. "And you're lucky Stiltskin MD has got one free space on his schedule." The smile widened.
Rumplestiltskin wondered about how long it would take Miss Science to make her appearance? Maybe he should give up that fun idea yet and just go on with this guy, healing his dying father and so on and so forth.

Etta’s legs and lungs burned with exertion. Finally, she was approaching the vast gardens at the back of the castle.
The gardeners were lined with rows of hedges about waist high, a sort of asthetic framing of the perimeter which separated the different types of gardens and areas into smaller, more intimate areas to take a bench and remain relatively hidden.
If viewed from a window high above, it made the gardens look even more beautifully arranged and cared for. A sort of mini maze except they were in even rectangles framing each section with several openings on every side.
Etta ran into the nearest opening and headed in the most direct route she could, dashing out of one rectangle into another in a sort of awkward diagonal zig zag.

And just as Rumplestiltskin was about to actually give up his fun idea of teasing Henrietta even more by hand her the fact nothing could keep him from making a deal with anyone, never mind how much warnings she would distribute, on a golden platter, his eyes randomly roamed out of the window, as something made them sparkle all of a sudden.
At a goodish distance, The Dark One spotted his favorite mobbing victim, as if on order. She just had found her way into the palace's garden. A quiet Hmmmmm accompanied by a devilish smirk told that there was no good forming in his mind. It didn't take him more than the slightest blink of his eye to manipulate the hedges' placing until the garden had become an intractable maze, to say the least.
He turned his attention back to Erik. Now they had plenty of time until their deal would be ready to close. "So?", he lastly asked. "You're willing to offer me something in return, dearie?"
It was not that he feared the prince wouldn't accept anyway, but wasn't it just much more of a great image to see Henrietta's face while they were all finished so that she had to face the fact she was too late? Oh yes, it was.

Etta had worked out a pattern in her zig zagging, her eyes on the back servant entrance of the castle still a ways away. Suddenly, something tripped up her footing. She righted herself before falling with a quick glance back at what in the world had caused it when her path had been clear.
A vine had snaked across the path and it continued to move. Suddenly, a lot more movement in her peripheral caught her attention and her head whipped around, taking in her growing surroundings. The hedges were growing at an alarming rate, vines snaking in every direction, linking each hedge to the other as they shifted directions and grew taller and taller. Etta would have gasped in surprise had she not been out of breath and just as she was about to face forward, Etta slammed into something that had once been an open spot between hedges. She looked up, the hedges that had framed the once walkway continued to entwine themselves together.
Etta took a couple steps back, mouth agape as the hedges continued to grow higher and higher. Quickly getting over her surprise, she glared in the general direction of the castle and the one she knew who'd done this.
Her hands fisted at her sides. "You lousy, cheating, snake!" she shouted in angry frustration, but her voice was lost within the tall walls of what had become a giant maze.
Etta turned, taking in her changed surroundings and found what looked like another possible passage. She gritted her teeth and headed for it, her anger and want of vengeance for his dirty trick giving her a second wind.

"What can I offer you?" The prince thought on it for a moment. He knew what wouldn't work... "I have an entire kingdom at my disposal, money and soldiers. A fleet. And I am getting the impression that all that would do nothing to hinder you. So what use would you have for it? To offer it to you or threaten to use it against you would be folly."
He started to pace back and forth again. "But maybe there is something you don't have that I can fetch for you? Everyone has their weaknesses, even you I would wager. If I am to put myself in danger for my father's sake then it would be worth it. He would die if something happened to me but surely he will if I don't, as well." Eric crossed his arms and waited for a task to do.

"What can I offer you?"
Rumplestiltskin started to address himself with surveying the objects around once again, while the prince seemed to be busy with thinking about something that might awaken the Dark One's interest. In fact, this time he had no clue himself if there actually was something. But he had no doubts either that they would find something. After all, it had never happened before that he had to leave anyone deal-less; even though it was very rare in the first place that the first condition that has been made was for the other's advantage. An amused smirk appeared on his lips at that unusual situation, while he placed something that looked like a tiny vase back on its place. Well, dealing never got boring.
"I have an entire kingdom at my disposal, money" Meh. "and soldiers." Boooring. "A fleet." Suddenly Rumple's head raised in slight curiosity. "And I am getting the impression that all that would do nothing to hinder you. So what use would you have for it? To offer it to you or threaten to use it against you would be folly. But maybe there is something you don't have that I can fetch for you?" An idea was forming in his head. "Everyone has their weaknesses, even you I would wager."
"Let's not call it a weakness", he interrupted with an objection all of a sudden, still fingering the prince's possessions. "A time-dependent problem is a more accurate phrasing." A short high-pitched giggle left the Dark One's lips before he continued to half-listen to the prince's words.
"If I am to put myself in danger for my father's sake then it would be worth it. He would die if something happened to me but surely he will if I don't, as well."
"The very model of a hero.", Rumplestiltskin stated with amusement, as he finally turned his full attention to Eric and even made some steps in his direction. "Well, a fleet you said? ... Somewhere... between blah blah and self-sacrificing hero speeches."
