Gryffindor Common Room and Dormitories Entrance
The entrance to the common room is located behind the portrait of the Fat Lady on the Seventh Floor of Hogwarts Castle. A password is required to enter it. A circular hole is behind the painting leading to the common room.
Common RoomThe common room is a circular room where Gryffindor students can relax after a long day of studying. It is full of squashy armchairs, tables, and a bulletin board where school notices, ads, lost posters, etc. can be posted. A window looks out onto the grounds of the school, and a large fireplace dominates one wall. The walls are decorated with scarlet tapestries that depict witches and wizards, but also various animals. It is usually where celebration parties are held after Gryffindor Quidditch victories, or when Harry Potter completed a task for the Triwizard Tournament. It was also the location for Harry and Ginny Weasley's first kiss following Gryffindor's Quidditch Cup victory in 1997. The common room fireplace was used on several occasions by Sirius Black to contact Harry while he was on the run from the Ministry of Magic. DormitoriesThe Gryffindor dormitories are also located in the Tower, with two doors leading off from the common room that open to spiral staircases. One of them leads to the girls' dormitory, the other to the boys'. The stairs to the girls' dormitory are enchanted to become a slide if any boy attempts to climb them, but not vice versa, since it was deemed that girls were more trustworthy than boys, and Hermione Granger went into the boys' room on several occasions. NEXT DAY FIRST DAY OF CLASSES
Drew sat in the common room, reading one of his text books. Or at least pretending too. No one would bother him if he was reading, or that was the hope. He didn’t want to talk to anyone right now. He was tired and not in a good mood after the nightmares he’d had the night before, most of them consisting of something bad happening to Carter and him unable to stop it. Halfway through the night he’d decided to stop trying to sleep and so here he was in the common room with a few other early risers. And now he just hoped he could make it to breakfast and through the rest of the day without anyone realizing something was up.

'It is not like him,' Lottie mused as she worked her way down the stairs from the girls' dormitory, her fingers gliding across the smooth, warm stone of the wall. Her Angel of Music had never waited so long to greet her before. Perhaps he had tried and she had missed his sign with her preoccupation of arrival. This thought made her frown, displease that she could have been so careless with her Angel's affections.
"Angel of Music, have I angered you?" she whispered into the air as she entered the common room, hoping that he still lingered without her knowledge. When she first saw the masculine silhouette seated in one of the overstuffed armchairs, she thought perhaps her Angel had her and all was forgiven. But she quickly realized that the boy was far too young to be the one whom she so desperately wanted to see.
"Oh, I'm sorry. I didn't know anyone else was awake yet." she softly greeted the younger Gryffindor, recognizing him now that she saw him in the light though she couldn't remember ever having actually spoken to him. She did not much want to continue in conversation but she also didn't want to seem rude. "Not many students are usually up at this hour."

He looked up when the older girl got a bit closer, worried. Oh great, here was someone who was going to ask questions about why he was studying. It was the first day after all, and he wasn’t an excessive studier. Anyone who’d just seen him around would be able to tell that something wasn’t right. But he relaxed when she apologized. It seemed that she wasn’t about to notice anything, if she was sorry for interrupting him. What a relief.
“Yer alright,” he promised her quickly. He didn’t want her to feel bad of course, and he also wanted to try to end the conversation as soon as possible. He didn’t want her to notice how tired he was or something. He didn’t need to go explaining his nightmares to anyone. “But I am workin’ on this so…” he trailed of, hoping she’d leave him alone.

After the initial interaction, Lottie quickly lost focus on the boy's response. Something else had garnered her attention. Something that quickened her pulse and sent a charge of electricity from her chest out to tips of her limbs. She couldn't look away.
A single rose lay gracefully on the fireplace mantel. Red and full and beautiful. Like the roses her father had always so carefully tended to at their villa in Germany... It had to be from him. Only her Angel could procure something so perfect, so lovely in its simplicity...
He had been here. Perhaps he still was, waiting for the moment she was alone.
"I must be off to breakfast..." She mumbled, vaguely aware once more that she was not the only one present.

He noticed how distracted she looked and on one hand he liked that. It meant that she wasn’t going to ask him if he was alright. He doubted she’d ever even notice something was up. But then there was the fact that this was going to take forever. If she kept staring at nothing for long periods of time he was going to be stuck sitting here listening to her. And he wasn’t exactly keen on that. So he quickly tried to think of an excuse to leave.
“I thin’ I might be needin’ some food.” But right as he said that she said she was going to breakfast. Of course. He never got a lucky break. He supposed it would be alright though, just so long as Carter was already there when he got to the great hall.

"Oh." Lottie couldn't prevent the small noise escaping her lips as disappointment flooded to the surface. Immediately after, guilt began to prevail. It wasn't the boys fault that she wanted to be alone or that they had both decided to have breakfast at the same time. Breakfast was traditionally the first event of the day for a student at Hogwarts.
She did not want to seem ill mannered. Her Angel would wait. She knew he would.
"Oh." Lottie repeated, this time trying to sound slightly more excited about the prospect. "Would you care to walk with me?"

Well she seemed nice about it, and rejecting her now would only be cause for suspicion. He didn’t want her to realize that something was up with him after all. So he shut the book and stood up, placing it in his bag along with everything else he’d need for the day. “Ah’d love to walk together,” he agreed as he slung the bag over his shoulder. Now that he was out of danger with being discovered he didn’t really mind getting to know each other. “So what’s yer year?”

“Ah’d love to walk together,”
Trying to shake of the last of her preoccupation, she gave the boy a small smile, "Lovely." After he gathered his belongings, they made their way towards the portrait entrance. No doubt the Fat Lady was up and about at this time of the morning.
“So what’s yer year?”
"Seventh." Lottie replied, looking thoughtful for a moment, "I can scarcely believe that this is my last year here. It seems like yesterday that I was a first year, kicking and screaming at King's Cross because I didn't want to come. I suppose time tends to fly like that."
With a nod of greeting to the Fat Lady, who seemed to once again fancy herself an opera singer, they passed into corridor. "From the look of your text book, I'd guess you are a third year?"

Oh boy, he was such a coward! First he asked Shane for a private conversation, but then he didn’t appear at the agreed place. That was not the way he should behave to someone he once knew. But if he would get to close to his former schoolmate, his disguise could get busted. Everything he built up during the past few months would have been for nothing! Why the hell did he choose his father’s surname?! Maybe Shane wouldn’t have noticed him if he had used any other family name than Black or Hill...
Sirius was hiding here at Gryffindor Common Room during the last hours. His friends tried to persuade him to went to his date with that American. Really? They called it a date?! What the hell!!! To get off of them he claimed to feel a bit sick. So they left him alone for a while.
But now he had to go to the Great Hall like everybody else. The members for the Tournament would be announced! On the one hand he was very excited because of wondering if he would be one of them, on the other hand he was a bit frightened that Shane could try to talk to him again. Sirius sighed and stood up from his bed on which he laid for some hours starring onto the ceiling. He should go now. He was a Gryffindor! Gryffindors were never afraid of something!

*** Sirius enters Gryffindor Common Room ***
After being back at Hogwarts Sirius quickly had went to his room and changed clothes. Then he had grabbed one of his private books (he didn't possess many other than his school books) - of course, one about Quidditch - and made his way to the Common Room. At the moment there weren't many students. He just saw a few from first and second year.
Sirius sat down in a cozy armchair and started to leaf through his book. He didn't really want to read but he just needed some time to clear his head. Today was... strange in many respects. But before he could even start to loose himself in thoughts three boys approached to him. He remembered one of them: Wallace, a redhead from Scotland. That boy was a great Quidditch-fan. The others obviously were his best friends. "Um, hi, Emily," he started a bit shy. "Hi, Wallace. And hi, guys. What's up? You look like you got something on your mind?" His counterpart became a bit more confident when he noticed Sirius' readiness to talk. "Do you have any advice in case that I'm thinking about to get in touch for our Quidditch-team as soon as they will have to look for new players?" Sirius smiled at him. It always felt good to see young people having interest in sports especially in Quidditch. For him it had been natural from an early age to start playing because of his father. "Well, first of all you've to practice. So you'll get to know which position would be the best for you. And maybe you'll be able to play more than just one role. That could be a benefit to fit in with the team. But...," Sirius made a short dramaturgical pause, "the most important fact is that you'll have to love it!" He noticed a smile from ear to ear on Wallaces face. His frieds also were smiling. "I do love it!" "That's good! Then keep your inner flame for it and practise. I'll remember you when we'll have need of new players."
After a few minutes of chit-chat about Quidditch the three boys said good bye and left to their room to prepare for dinner. Now the smile on Sirius' face faded away and he became thoughtful again. He thought about his future: He always wanted to become a professional Quidditch-player. But, of course, as himself and not as his non-existent sister! The longer he'd play his disguise the more difficult it would be to get back to his former life. And his new friends might be angry with him because he had lied to them. He couldn't even blame them.
