Entrance
To enter the Slytherin common room one must merely speak aloud the current password in front of a stretch of damp stone wall; once the word is uttered a concealed stone door will slide aside leaving a rectangular hole in the wall leading to the Slytherin common room. The only known Slytherin password is pureblood, used in 1992.
Common room
The Slytherin common room is found in the dungeons of Hogwarts Castle, and is located underneath the Black Lake. Because of its location, the light in the common room is green. Harry Potter along with Ron Weasley entered the common room in his second year to find out if Draco Malfoy was the one opening the Chamber of Secrets.

Everyone is released for the remainder of the day to relax, socialize, work on their assignments, and gather for the evening meal.

The first day was coming to an end and it wasn't so bad at all. Darleena had taken to her prefect role once again, making it clear where she stood. She escorted the first years to the dormitories and explained rules to all the new Slytherin's. She reminisced back to her first speech of the year...
"Along with the other prefects I would like to welcome you to Hogwarts. I'm very proud of this house and I pride myself on breaking the traditional mold of a Slytherin house student. Unlike some of my peers I have a strict policy about house conduct. I will take away house points without hesitation if I catch any of you breaking the rules. Family or not," She remembered looking at her little cousin, wanting to remind him of earlier in the great hall. "I suggest you all watch yourselves and treat your fellow students with respect... or else." She seemed to have forgotten her own speech later that day...
Gwen looked great with that tail but Darleena felt a bit bad about it. Knowing Gwen would think it was Fredrick and turn her sights on him. She wondered how that would go, would he cave in and point fingers... he better not.
Currently, she was sitting by the fire and going over her homework, which she had done mostly during her breaks. She had also patrolled the halls for a bit before it was taken over by one of the others. Students kept passing by, going silent when they saw her sitting there. Some actually asked her questions and she answered them.

Nearly two months have passed.
Yesterday, October 30th, the delegates from the other schools had arrived for the Triwizard Tournament and a celebration feast was held in the Great Hall where the Goblet of Fire and Triwizard Cup were presented.
Today, October 31st, 2017, the Goblet of Fire remains available in the Chamber of Reception for interested participants to drop in a parchment with their name until the Hallowe'en Feast tonight.

A few hours have passed.
It is now time for everyone to gather in the Great Hall for the Hallowe'en Feast where the Champions will be announced.

The night passes. It is the morning of the next day.
Classes are postponed for the week to welcome the visiting schools during Tri-Wizard Championship.
A special visit to Hogsmeade is scheduled for today.
