Oliver
"Well, isn't this interesting. I expect you two to keep the train clean." His face immediately started to heat up. How dare Tharin start making assumptions. Oliver didn't care about what people thought of him but he was concerned for Gwen sake. She shouldn't have to be caught up in any of this. Despite his anger he found it difficult to look at her across the way, from a very different feeling in the pit of his stomach. But he did, and that is when Oliver saw that look in her eye.
"Jes' the two of us, Tharin. Lest someone was here 'fore the train left King's Cross." She said looking somewhat sheepish, "As ye guessed, we weren't looking for any riding companions." That was his cue, rounding on Tharin. "And if you don't mind, you might want to bugger off." Keeping it vague, he followed her lead. Let the stupid prat think what he liked. Oliver vowed to himself he would make this up to Gwen though.

Tharin
"Jes' the two of us, Tharin. Lest someone was here 'fore the train left King's Cross." Brigham answered, looking somewhat sheepish, "As ye guessed, we weren't looking for any riding companions." Well that thought was just gross.
Burke finally spoke up, "If if you don't mind, you might want to bugger off." How cute, the little boy was trying to act tough. Burke must have been really embarressed.
"Calm down Burke, Brigham is more impressed by brains than bravery." Tharin ran his thumb over the knife in his pocket. "The train will be reaching the station in about thirty minutes. Be presentable by then. If you hear someone with an American accent, detain her and find me." Tharin stared at both Burke and Brigham for a few seconds before closing the compartment door. Once he finds Arizona, everyone was going to hear about those two.
Tharin squeezed the girl's knife and moved on to the next compartment.

Jake
"Well, isn't this interesting. I expect you two to keep the train clean." Jake bit back his laughter, knowing half of the reason he found the situation humorous was because he was under stress. Still, he couldn’t keep an invisible smirk off his face.
"Is anyone hiding in here?" The smirk instantly slipped off. How did Tharin know about him? The prefect was looking straight at Gwen, and for a second, Jake knew she was going to turn him in. Then, logic caught up with his rogue imagination. Tharin had to be looking for someone else, it just wouldn’t make since for him to know. Plus, Gwen wouldn’t turn him in, he knew that for a fact. Or, at least, he fervently hoped she wouldn’t.
"Jes' the two of us, Tharin. Lest someone was here 'fore the train left King's Cross." "As ye guessed, we weren't looking for any riding companions." Just the look on Oliver’s face alone sent Jake into hysterics. Luckily, he was a master at laughing silently, and not even Gwen could hear or feel it as he laughed hard enough to shake.
"If if you don't mind, you might want to bugger off," Oliver said, trying to get the prefect to leave as quickly as possible. Honestly, Jake couldn’t blame him for that.
"Calm down Burke, Brigham is more impressed by brains than bravery." "The train will be reaching the station in about thirty minutes. Be presentable by then.” Whatever the prefect said after that was lost to Jake, as he literally had to put a hand over his mouth to muffle his uncontrollable glee. Oliver was certainly mortified right now, and it was the absolute best thing ever. Finally, the prefect left, and Jake didn’t have to silence his laughter any longer. He let it ring throughout the cabin. If Oliver could see the look on his face, he knew his brother would be laughing to. Gosh, that whole interaction had just been perfect.

"Calm down Burke, Brigham is more impressed by brains than bravery."
Gwen nearly rolled her eyes. Would have too, had she not had so much riding on Tharin leaving quickly and suspecting nothing. 'Ketty mawk. Like he'd know first thing of what impresses me? As if we ever spoke more'an two sentences to each other in years.'
"The train will be reaching the station in about thirty minutes. Be presentable by then. If you hear someone with an American accent, detain her and find me."
Thankfully, Tharin left after giving them both a good stare and Gwen was able to breathe again. Wild laughter exploded from the seat beside her. With another tap of her wand, the hysterical blue striped material once again began to take on a peachy color and Jake's face appeared. "Easy fer ye to laugh. That cal will have every student talkin' 'bout me and Oliver 'fore we pull into station."
Despite her stern words, Gwen looked rather amused by the idea and lost the valiant battle against her own laughter, "Did ye see his face- he was completely gloppened to find us here!"
ketty - nasty mawk - descriptive of a surly, unfriendly individual cal - gossip gloppened - astonished, surprised, flabbergasted

Oliver
It seemed like they finally had a reprieve when that miserable prefect left them in silence. Then it began, laughter rang out through the compartment and Oliver turned a scowl on the seat next to Gwen. "Easy fer ye to laugh. That cal will have every student talkin' 'bout me and Oliver 'fore we pull into station." When Jacob finally reappeared he thrust his index finger right at his brothers face. Waving it at him, Oliver verbally lashed out. "Oi' whose side are you on Jake?"
"Did ye see his face- he was completely gloppened to find us here!" Gwen added while letting out laughter of her own. He might as well give in he thought as Oliver cracked a smile of his own. "You would be surprised what this one does for us without the help of someone like Tharin." He tipped his head at Jacob while looking at Gwen again. "Rather than be able to blame the usual barmy incident on my evil twin like everyone else, I have to just go with it!" At that last part he shifted his gaze from his friend to his brother laughing louder now that they seemed to be out of the woods for the most part. Oliver settled back into his seat then and made himself more comfortable. Might as well make the best of the ride they still had ahead of them he thought.

Jake
"Easy fer ye to laugh. That cal will have every student talkin' 'bout me and Oliver 'fore we pull into station." She was right, of course, but just as Jake was about force himself to be serious again, Oliver spoke up.
"Oi' whose side are you on Jake?" That, combined with his brother’s inappropriate gesture, reinforced his laughter.
"Did ye see his face- he was completely gloppened to find us here!" Gwen said, finally joining in on the fun. Of course, Jacob thought the expression on Oliver’s face was much more priceless than the one on Tharin’s, and he was about to say so, when he decided he’d his brother had been through enough for one day. He should give it a rest to avoid Oliver having a heart attack. However, his brother didn’t seem to share the same mindset.
"You would be surprised what this one does for us without the help of someone like Tharin." "Rather than be able to blame the usual barmy incident on my evil twin like everyone else, I have to just go with it!" Jake chuckled at Oliver’s good-natured teasing. Once the laughter starting to die off, Jake decided to get back to the original conversation, instead of teasing his brother. He mercifully decided to let Oliver win; this round.
“So, Gwen, how did you do on your O.W.L.s?” He sat back in his seat, prepared to listen to Gwen and Oliver talk about school tests and other academic topics for the rest of the ride. He knew both the Ravenclaws enjoyed that realm of discussion, and he could live with a little boredom for the remaining time aboard the Hogwarts Express. Goodness knows he’d had enough excitement for one day.

Kaeden
The Hogwarts Express came to a stop, and Kaeden jolted to her feet. It took her a second to figure out where she was, and then she chastised herself. She shouldn’t have fallen asleep. How could she be so stupid? Kaeden ran her hands through her hair and started looking for her luggage. As she searched the dark car, she could tell this one was newer than the rest.
When Kaeden found hers, she just sat on it and waited for the doors to open. A couple minutes passed and nothing changed. Then the luggage trunk underneath hers disappeared, and suddenly luggage all around her started to vanish. Dang it! I hate magic! Why can’t people just do things the normal way? Kaeden grabbed her trunk and dragged it off the train.
On the station, Kaeden just stood there. The youngest kids went one way, while the older kids went another. Maybe if she didn’t move now, then she wouldn’t have to

Carter
Carter had been pleasantly surprised by his brother’s behavior throughout the train ride. Usually, Justin would have been annoyed that two third years were spending time with his group of seventh year friends, but this time, Justin had seemed to enjoy their company. Carter knew this was due to their rather violent encounter with the older girl, but he still reveled in the fact that his brother hadn’t been ‘too cool’ to hang out with him on the train this time. In fact, he’d even complemented Carter on his quick thinking; reminding Carter of how friendly Justin was when they were at home together.
As soon as they reached the station, however, Justin and his friends left the train, leaving him and Drew behind. “Are you ready to leave?” Carter asked his friend. Drew had been quiet for the whole ride, obviously shaken from his near-death experience. Carter had been able to force it out of his mind, until he had time to deal with it later, but it was apparent that Drew didn’t have the same coping mechanism. Carter really hoped his friend was alright.

Drew
The older Gryffindors left the compartment and he just sits for a minute, composing himself. He is ever so glad that they weren't mad at him for what he'd done, but at the same time they should have been. Especially Justin. He had endangered Carter with his reckless, foolish behavior. He'd almost died, and Carter could have to if he hadn't thought quickly enough.
“Are you ready to leave?” Carter asks him. He nods, standing and pushing the negative thoughts to the back of his head. He needs to sort them out eventually, but right now he just needs to get to the Hogwarts feast. He gives Carter a smile when he sees his friend's worried look, doing his best to cheer him up.
"Let's get goin' before all the food is gone," he agrees with a smile as he exits the compartment. There. Now he just has to get through the feast and everything will work itself out.

Oliver
They had a chance to catch up about years end from the previous term and it seemed he and Gwen would be sharing a few classes together again. Oliver was happy to hear that and it wasn't just because she was the first person he found he could open up to. The ride to Hogsmeade had been... nice.
As the train came to a stop with a slight jarring motion they all made to start moving towards the exit. It had to end eventually he supposed. It was a lot more eventful than the brothers had expected but it had all been worth it. Oliver smiled at Jacob, and unspoken thanks for the part he had played, and he knew Jake had kept the conversation in his corner. He knew he needed a friend but the wonderful thing was that they both had made one today.
"Let's make a promise, to not let this be the last time we meet. Gwen if your willing I'd like to show you something special that Hogwarts has to offer." He was referring of course to the room of requirement. As he looked towards Jake he hoped he wouldn't be mad for this new development.

Jake
Jake had been quiet for most of the ride, simply smiling as he watched his brother and Gwen discuss school. They were both enjoying themselves, and that was more than enough to make Jake's spirits soar. Finally, Oliver had a good friend; and one who knew Jake existed. Really, there was noting more he could ask for.
Then, the train pulled into the station, and Jake mentally prepared himself for his journey to Hogwarts. This was the difficult part, and it had been practically impossible his first year there, but getting from the train into the school had always been the most challenging aspect. Of course, after finding the secret tunnel that connected his room to the shrieking shack, things had gone much more smoothly, but he still had to avoid being spotted as he snuck away from the train to the shack.
"Let's make a promise, to not let this be the last time we meet." Well of course they'd meet again, wouldn't they? If Gwen was going through all this trouble to keep their secret, surely she'd want to get to know them better.
"Gwen if your willing I'd like to show you something special that Hogwarts has to offer." Oliver looked worriedly over at him, as if worried he'd be upset that he'd invited Gwen to his room. Really, though, Jake thought that was an excellent idea. It would be easier for him to get to know Gwen if she could talk to him without them having to worry about other students discovering them.
"Yes, I have the best room in the whole school," Jake informed her, grinning widely. "I'd love for you to see it." Then, he stood up, and opened the window. Oliver always chose a compartment on the left side of the train, so Jake could climb out the window and sneak off without anyone seeing. "Anyway Gwen, I have to go, but I hope you drop by later. I'll have to put on a spot of tea." With a mischievous smirk, Jake opened the window, preparing to sneak through the town. Honestly, this was the best part of the journey for him. The danger of getting caught always excited him; except when he was a little to close to getting caught. But, all in all, he loved the thrill of it, and he couldn't wait to experience that again.

TharinThe train was empty. Tharin roared in frustration and kicked the wall. At this point, Tharin decided a professor should know about the inicident. And give up the hunt? Tharin heard his father's voice in his head. Tharin may have hated him for all that he did, but the idea of his father disapproving had always pushed him forward. Especially when hunting. Tharin leaned back against the wall of the train. He needed the just stop and think. Arizona is the first American student to attend Hogwarts, and yet she is older than third years. She didn't pull her wand on them. So, a muggle raised American witch who is old enough to at least be a fourth year, but does not instinctively pull her wand? The rumors his mother told him about had to be true. She would be with Hagrid and the first years heading for the boats! Tharin pushed himself off the wall and rushed off the train. ***Tharin exits to Hogsmeade Train Station***

"Let's make a promise, to not let this be the last time we meet."
Gwen hadn't given much thought past this train ride - strange as her life typically thrived on plans and schedules. But the company had been so enjoyable that the time flew by quickly. Her mind did not have a spare moment to focus on the future until it faced her.
"Gwen if your willing I'd like to show you something special that Hogwarts has to offer."
Something special? What could that be? Hogwarts had many special attributes, both known and unknown. She reckoned that there were things and places in the castle that even Professor Ogden hadn't seen. A grin appeared on her face, her curiosity more than peaked. "Reckon I could make time for that! Ye know the way to my heart, Oliver Burke- I'm allus up for learning summat new."
Her dialect, somewhat diminished by all the time she spent around the more proper speakers at Hogwarts, seemed to become a bit thicker as her excitement showed in her voice but Gwen didn't appear to notice. Her eyes nearly sparkled with the idea of something she didn't know.
"Yes, I have the best room in the whole school," "I'd love for you to see it."
Well, this was an intrigue. But before Gwen could question more about this apparently secret room, Jake was already preparing to climb out the train window. 'So that's how he plans to sneak off. Wonder how he gets into the castle...'
"Anyway Gwen, I have to go, but I hope you drop by later. I'll have to put on a spot of tea."
Jake had a maddeningly mischievous smirk on his face as he climbed out the window and Gwen had the distinct impression that she would get no answers about this new mystery until Oliver was able to show her in person. The wait would be torture. If Drew wouldn't be the death of her, these two just might be.
Once Jake was gone, she turned to Oliver. "Shall we? Should like to see if I can find Drew on the platform 'fore we board the carriages."

Oliver
They both watched Jake disappear out the window and he could see the sparkle in Gwen's eye. She must have a lot of questions. "I promise it won't take too long. But its worth it. Jake calls it his room, and it is, kind of. But its much much more." Oliver finished with a smile of his own.
"Shall we? Should like to see if I can find Drew on the platform 'fore we board the carriages." They both knew the thestrals wouldn't wait forever and they best be going. Grabbing his bag from the rack above Oliver opened the door for Gwen and let her pass. "He'll be joining us then?" It was painful as he gave himself a swift mental kick. What a stupid questions! "Of course he would, wouldn't he? I'm sure he's looking to be found about now." Known the way to her heart do ya? That wouldn't last long he chided himself.

***Callum and Anya enter from Hogwarts - Entrance Hall Courtyard***
Anya hurried to keep up as Callum pulled her along. If not for the Prefects shouting the safety reminder, she was pretty sure the lot of them would be running. Instead, the whole crush of students moved at a fast walk, all seeming to want to be the first to claim a cabin. Everyone would have to share anyway, especially with the additional schools visiting Hogwarts, but people just seemed to have a thing for being first.
With the thick crowd, Anya was holding tight to his hand and staying right behind him. "Finding an--sorry," she called blindly to whomever she'd jostled to finally work her way next to Callum. She started over. "Finding an opportunity to talk to someone isn't stalking," she persisted. They ascended one of the train's sets of stairs and found their way to an empty cabin. Anya sat across from him, perched at the edge of her seat so she could speak in a quieter tone. "Callum, have you ever even talked to her?"
Before she had the opportunity to get an answer, students appeared at the door. She looked down, seeing that in her current position perched at the edge of the seat, her knees practically touched Callum's, effectively blocking the entrance. "Sorry," she said, hopping up and taking a seat right next to Callum. "Come on in."

Only third years or higher, with an exception of the guests staying for the Triwizard Tournament, had permission to board the Hogwarts Express and attend day trips to Hogsmede was a rule widely known among the students at Hogwarts. Any younger year students who would proceed to break this rule would be punished if caught. But of course, in the mind of Scorpius Malfoy the rules never applied to him like they did to everyone else. And if he got caught, there was no doubt in his mind that he could bank on his father's help to slide him out of paying for any consequences. So he couldn't help but to gleefully snicker to himself as he ran sneakily though the carts of the empty train, looking for a place to conceal himself. All of the cabins were vacant and ready to be filled with students, and having snuck on the train before anyone else could board Scorpius had his pick of the train. His ears perking up at the prefects shouting outside to announce boarding, Scorpius' heart began to hammer in his chest as he wasted no more time and picked a cabin by random. Small enough to fit into tight places, Scorpius scooted his entire body underneath one of the seats in the train.
"Deceptionem," Scorpius uttered, and swirling his wand around the crown of his head a sensation began to fall over him as his appearance began to blend in with the darkened appearance of where he hid. Growing up in a pureblooded wizarding family such as the Malfoys, Scorpius had learned a thing or two on ways to use his special abilities to spy on and anger his older brother, Callum. Being well versed in illusion charms was one of them. Scorpius remained unmoved as he heard students begin to pile onto the train, and held his breath at the moment that two students entered the cabin he was hiding in. A girl appeared to sit on the seat that Scorpius hid under, and a boy straight across from her.
"Callum, have you ever even talked to her?"
"Oh, Merlin's beard no," Scorpius thought to himself as he rolled his eyes. Out of all the cabins in the train, of course his idiot brother Callum just had to be in the very one that he was hiding in. And with that no good weirdo, by the sounds of it. He remembered that he still had Anya's journal of bizarre oddities and entries that he had been meaning to hand over to his father. Though he had been reluctant to do so in hopes of finding something he could use against his brother and his new "friend" before that happened. Perhaps he would overhear something more to add to his report back to his father. Needless to say, Scorpius was in for a long train ride. He could only hope that he could hold onto his cover until the ride was over.

"Finding an opportunity to talk to someone isn't stalking,"
Okay, fine, but why the hell was she so zealous to play the matchmaker all of a sudden? For some reason, Callum didn't like this at all. Maybe it was because, even though they were best friends, hadn't talked about any love issues ever before. Why would she want to change that now? Callum tried to just ignore her persistence by pretending to have overheard it amidst all the chattering around, but much to his chagrin she went on as they finally had managed to call a whole cabin their own.
"Callum, have you ever even talked to her?"
"Well, yes, one time.", he eventually replied in the silent hopes to soon be able to change the topic of their conversation. "But I don't even think she'd remember. I just..."
"Sorry,", Anya said when students appearing at the door were sending her close to him; so close that their knees were touching for a moment. Callum tried to ignore the sudden warmth that was rising up his face. "Come on in."
Then he quickly closed the door of their cabin so that nobody else would be joining them. Not that he wanted to be alone with her for reasons that... yah, whatever reasons... he just hated the company of any other student but her. It was just good that the first years weren't allowed to attend a trip to Hogsmeade, so that meant for once they couldn't get surprised by his pesky little brother.
"So, uh, have you ever tried any kind of bevvy before? This can easily sweep you off your feet, y'know.", Callum quickly started another conversation, giving her a slight smirk.

Post by Hollywood Heidi on Jul 6, 2019 21:46:54 GMT -8
"What? No," she quickly answered. Did Callum really just slide the cabin door closed in the faces of fellow students then casually ask her if she's ever had a drink? That was the type of question that could easily lead to a 'why not' that had her falling down the rabbit hole of dodging talk of her past. She avoided talking about anything that may lead to someone looking at her with that 'Poor little orphan Anya' look in their eyes. Luckily she had another topic to latch onto. "Callum, I know you're not overly fond of people, but don't you think that was kind of rude?" Not even 'kind of'. She was cushioning it because of their friendship and because she didn't want to come across as chastising him.
Anya leaned across him to grab the handle of the door, speaking as she slid it back open. "People are going to think we're snogging in...here." As she'd nearly had the door open, she'd turned to look at him whilst speaking. Finding her face so close to his nearly made her forget the last word of her sentence. Catching herself staring into those eyes, Anya quickly pulled out of his personal space and leaned back in her seat, finding sudden fascination in any part of the cabin that had her facing away from him whilst her embarrassment subsided. She hoped he hadn't noticed. Anya was mortified at the thought of him figuring out she had a little crush and worse, afraid he'd pull away from their friendship.
Her eyes fell on a Hogsmeade brochure left behind further down on the seat and she leaned over to grab it, not noticing that the heel of her foot that hovered in the motion shifted back slightly, coming in light contact with something hidden beneath the seat before planting firmly again in front of her as she straightened up. "Here," she said, turning back to Callum and handing it over. "Pretend to be absorbed in this and nobody will try to talk to you. Well, most likely," she corrected. "It's a short ride anyway," she added with the slight hint of annoyance that may be misinterpreted as directed toward him when in truth, it was at herself.

"What? No,"
Since it has never been Callum's intention to ask this out of sincere interest, he wasn't too keen to get an answer to it as well, which was why a no was totally fine. But a new topic of conversation had to be found. And then it happened that he actually got one, though not exactly one that he appreciated. Was she really judging him for making this cabin their private place?
"Callum, I know you're not overly fond of people, but don't you think that was kind of rude?"
"Well... no?", he gave an honest reply that was sounding rather like a question though, also probably not the one she liked to hear at that.
"People are going to think we're snogging in... here.", Anya suddenly added as she slid the door back open.
That they...? Did she really just say that? Callum was just going to say something when her head turned back in his direction, sending him into silence all of a sudden. She was so... close. There was a moment in which Callum was actually going to lean forward to... to what actually?! Anyways, that moment wasn't going to happen, as Anya quickly leaned back in her seat. And yet again did he feel a warmth rising up in him, just as a relief that her eyes were turned anywhere around the cabin but his direction. He was just glad that the embarrassment, wherever it had come from, was gone by the time her head was turning back towards him.
"Here,", she said, handing over a brochure to him. "Pretend to be absorbed in this and nobody will try to talk to you. Well, most likely,""It's a short ride anyway,"
"You think I'd need this to make sure nobody talks to me? I'm a Malfoy. Nobody wants to talk to me anyway. Well... nobody but you.", he stated with a grin, actually shier than intended, while he placed the brochure onto the seat right next to him. People were used to not sit down on a seat that was covered with stuff. That was something like an unwritten rule.

Cami swam through the sea of students that moved back and forth through the train cars of the Hogwarts express. Holding onto Coco's hand behind her for dear life, Cami's sights drifted around them in anticipation of a booth with a pair of empty seats with their names on it. Yet to their dismay, no luck was to be found as of yet. Instead, Cami's attention was caught by a trolley rolling past them filled to the brim with sweets and treats galore.
"Anything from the trolley, dearies?"
Cami's eyes grew wide as they became glazed over with gleeful delight as she scanned the candy trolley, "My, Coco, have you ever seen a sight so fantastique?!" Cami squealed with excitement as she pondered over whether she would be taking the pumpkin pasties or the chocolate frogs.

While Cami dragged her best friend belong to fight their way through the sea of students, Coco had this look on her face that simply stated I hate people. And if there was something she was hating even more than just people, then it was a crowd of them. So the trolley with sweets came right in time to lift her mood.
"Anything from the trolley, dearies?"
"My, Coco, have you ever seen a sight so fantastique?!"
"You mean except for Jason Momoa's sixpack?", Coco joked in her usual deadpan tone before she joined her friend pondering over the delicious looking choices right in front of them. "Well, who needs a sixpack when you can have chocolate."

"You think I'd need this to make sure nobody talks to me? I'm a Malfoy. Nobody wants to talk to me anyway. Well... nobody but you."
There was his 'Malfoy' comment again. She had no idea what sort of stigma was attached to his name. They'd spent a lot of time together, shared many conversations, but neither had delved into a deeper, more personal level. Talking about the past tended to open up emotional wounds that had never healed. It made a person feel bared and vulnerable and she hadn't yet worked up the courage to tread into that territory with anyone. There was also the fact that she was ashamed of the role she'd been made to play in her last joke of a foster home that had been a front for a theft ring.
Anya made a sound of exasperation. "Your brother may be a right tosser but there is nothing wrong with you. If he can make friends, anyone can. If you can even call them 'friends'." She made air quotes on the last word. There was nothing that appeared to be genuine friendship between Scorpius and his little posse. They weren't worth further thought so she waved them away and concentrated on the person worthy of her care. "Have you tried scowling less?" she joked in a serious tone. "Maybe, if you're feeling really adventurous, even try out smiling every now and again. I know you know how. I've caught one or two on your face." Disarmed by one of his smiles now, she thought, "You're actually kind of cute when you smile," then realized she'd said it out loud. Who was she kidding. His stupid face was cute even when he was scowling, but when he smiled, it dazed her as proved by having said that out loud. She quickly passed off her comment as merely an impartial observation by quickly adding, "Send those your crush's way and you'll win her over in no time."

"Your brother may be a right tosser but there is nothing wrong with you. If he can make friends, anyone can. If you can even call them 'friends'."
Callum was just going to make it clear that he actually wasn't unhappy with nobody talking to him. He had her. And she really was more than anyone could ask for. Her next words though made him forget what he originally had been going to say.
"Have you tried scowling less?" He gave Anya a look that could be sorted somewhere between surprise and amusement. He actually never realized that he was scowling. "Maybe, if you're feeling really adventurous, even try out smiling every now and again. I know you know how. I've caught one or two on your face." Callum couldn't help but smile at just that. Why was she so damn cute at times? "You're actually kind of cute when you smile," Wait, what? Have they just experienced one of these creepy moments in which you share a thought? Well, Callum, he said to himself, don't be ridiculous. Once he realized that Anya started to feel embarrassed or something, Callum was actually going to state a compliment towards her as well. It probably wouldn't have made this situation less tense but she wouldn't be the only one feeling like she had said something that was overstepping the line of their easy-going friendship. But then she said something that made him hold his words once more. "Send those your crush's way and you'll win her over in no time."
A sudden feeling of uncomfortableness came over him. Just what he had been thinking this would be about? And what was actually bothering him even more, was the fact that this question was coming to his mind in the first place. Weren't they just two friends, easy-going and with nobody overstepping a line? Then why he couldn't stop thinking about kissing her lips whenever she was close to him? And why he couldn't stop missing her every second they weren't spending together? And above all... why had it been so easy all of a sudden to stop thinking about his longstanding crush on Lottie? Speaking of...
"Yah well, as far as that goes..." What was he actually going to say? I'm not interested in her anymore because I would rather ask you for a date with me. No, no, Callum... you would start up a disaster. "I... just... don't know how to work it." Callum mentally hit himself between the eyes. Really? How to work it? Oh, just awesome, Callum, now she thinks you're an idiot who isn't able to talk to girls.

"You mean except for Jason Momoa's sixpack?" "Well, who needs a sixpack when you can have chocolate."
"Momoa? Sixpack? You're right, Coco, by ze sight of zis grand trolley we've both seen better today," Cami scoffed right after she threw her shoulder length brunette head back in a single laugh before allowing her doll like hands to begin to scan over the options before going to grab a packet of the chocolate frogs. Yet, her thick lashed eyes widened with a startling surprise as someone had grabbed it right out of her reach.
"Excuse-moi! Taking chocolate from a girl, do you 'ave any manners?!" Cami barked at the boy before her, placing her hands on her hips as steam radiated from both of her ears.

From standing in line to board the train, to walking through the hoard of students to find a quiet place to sit Shane was dead silent as he was emotionally compromised from the encounter that morning with Emily. Something about her brought up a wave of emotions about his missing friend, and Shane simply could not shake the feeling no matter how hard he tried. So although he put on a brave face and a fake smile for Scarlet for her to think that everything was completely fine, his thoughts distracted him to the point where he wasn't paying attention to his surroundings and accidentally setting off the pretty french girl from the fellow Tournament champions.
"Excuse-moi! Taking chocolate from a girl, do you 'ave any manners?!"
Shane gasped slightly as he snapped back to reality and when he realized the mistake he had made, he felt embarrassed, "I-I'm so sorry! I wasn't paying attention. Here," Shane offered the girl the packaged chocolate frog while picking up a second chocolate for Coco as well, "My treat, for you and your teammate. It's the least I can do." Shane grinned hardheartedly at the girl, feeling incredibly bad for the slip up he just made. Relieved that she accepted his apologetic token, Shane and Scarlet carried onward. All Shane wanted to do was to sit somewhere less crowded and quiet, and try to get over how he had been feeling. The two Ilvermorny students came across a booth with only two students riding inside. "This looks like a nice, quiet place to settle in," Shane looked back at Scarlet, motioning her to join him. The door was wheeled closed, yet Shane was desperate to get out of all of the bustling commotion of the crowded halls of the train that he and Scarlet slid it open enough for them to slip in.
"Hope you don't mind, man it's quite packed out there," Shane and Scarlet nodded at the girl and boy conversing in the train car booth before turning to sit down. Shane fixed himself a seat across from Scarlet as his gaze took to the landscape of the rolling hills outside the window.

"I-I'm so sorry! I wasn't paying attention. Here," "My treat. It's the least I can do."
"Clearly," Cami snapped as she rolled her eyes. Though, the boy who she now recognized as her opponent Shane Hudson in the Triwizard Tournament was sincerely apologetic about his actions, so she decided to ease up slightly from pressing forward to bite his head off as she would have done with any other thick headed boy. "I'll accept your peace offering now, Hudson, but don't be fooled by my being soft here. You better be prepared for ze lioness to be unleashed from her cage come ze competition. See you on ze battlegrounds," Cami forewarned Shane and his teammate and sticking her nose slightly up in the air, she turned away from the Ilvermorny students as she linked arms with Coco once more and headed down the isle.
"Silly American boys don't ever know what zey are dealing with when zey cross me," Cami shook her head in disbelief as she still raged on about the minor kerfuffle, yet began to lighten up enough to let it slide as she and Coco took a seat in the next available booth with two seats vacant.

Scarlett followed Shane through the crowd of students finding a good place to sit down. Somehow it reminded her of backstage areas during model contests – people everywhere around, shouting, laughing, making noise. She hoped they could find a booth with only few students inside. She didn’t have a problem with crowds of people but she didn’t want that now. She wnated to talk to Shane a bit more private. It seemed that something strange had happen to him because he behaved different from his normal demeanor. It was not just that creepy scene at the chocolate-trolley... Shane didn’t really realize everything what was going around him. It looked like he was wondering through his own little world at his inside, just noticing only the bare necessities. (But he wasn’t as cool as Baloo the bear when he did so. Although he was cute…) Scarlett made a gasp of breath. What was that?! She shouldn’t think about her school and team mate in this kind of way! 'Be proffesional,' she advised herself in mind.
Finally they found a cabin. It was closed but Shane opened it a bit to let them both slip into. There were only two studnets sitting inside, a boy and a girl. "Hope you don't mind, man it's quite packed out there," This time he was polite anyhow. And sweet as well… Scarlett felt her cheeks blushing a bit red and hoped nobody would notice it. They sat down and Shane started to look outside. Well, it wasn’t the right time – or to be honest the right place – to start the conversation she had planned to deal with. It was obvious that he tried to avoid speaking too much. But that was also just another hint that something wasn’t right with him. The blonde girl sighed before she took a closer look at the other students. Maybe she should start a little chit-chat with them to avoid that awkward silence. "So, hi. You two are from Hogwarts, right? I think you know that place we’re heading to?"

They had to hurry to get the train but they made it. Sherlock had hold Morgana’s hand during their, well, run (To be honest it was no real run but it felt very nearly.) through the corridors and he didn’t release it when they had arrived the train nearly at the very last moment.
"Well, I dare say that 'The last shall be first' will not work today," he tried to make a joke. But he never had been a good joker. "And I think it would not made sense to look for Dray and the others. But I am sure we will find them later at the pub. Let us try to find a more comfortable place than staying in the passageway." Still he hold her hand and didn’t really notice it. It was a part of his caring manner. Suddenly he got a sneak peek at a candy-trolley. A smile flashed over his face. He had to think about Dray and her passion for sweets and well, food in general. "What about some sweets, Miss Parkinson," he asked her with a charming smile on his lips. They passed two girls on their way to the woman with the trolley. If he remembered right they were the chosen champions from Beauxbaton. "Silly American boys don't ever know what zey are dealing with when zey cross me," Sherlock did his best to not shook his head because of that words. But he was a gentleman – and that would not fit to one. And maybe it was just a joke. In some kind that girl reminded him of Dray and her big mouth. Then they arrived the trolley at last. But they stood at the woman’s back. Sherlock coughed slightly before he started to talk to her. "Excuse me, may we allowed to take a look at your goods, Dear Madam?"

The train was overfilled with students who wanted to get to town. But Sirus and his friends got a booth for their own. They were enough students to made it full.
"Excuse-moi! Taking chocolate from a girl, do you 'ave any manners?!" Suddenly there was that lovely voice. It was Cami – the most beautiful girl he ever saw. "What a jerk," one of the girls said. "Ya, men had to fulfil girl’s every wish," a boy, the girl’s boyfriend, answered. But Sirius didn’t listen to his mates. Without thinking about it he stood up again and opened the wheeled door a bit to get a look at the outside. It really was Cami. And her strange bestie Coco. And it was Shane, who was blamed by Cami. Poor boy!... But, wait – no! Lucky boy! He got her attention. "Hey, Emmie, could you try to keep still just for this time? You’re making me nervous." Sirius didn’t turn his head to his friend who was calling out to him. "Nah, shut up. I’m…" He stopped. Yes, what was he doing? Watching that amazing girl, yes. But he shouldn’t say that out loud! Not in front of his clique. It could bust his disguise. "Kay, I’m walking around the floor a bit – and you’ll get your rest from my hyperactivity." The others gave a short and friendly laugh. It was then when he wanted to leave the cabin when Cami and Coco moved over to find a place to sit down. He rashly shut the door. Wow, why did he get so nervous when that girl was near to him? "Emmie? Are you already drunk?!" "What?... Um, yeah… Ah, stop! I meant no, of course!," he stammered. "As I just said – I will stretch my legs." "You didn’t really sit down…" Sirius didn’t react at the last words. He left the booth.
Calm down, be cool, man! You can do it! You never had problems talking to others before… He took a last deep breath and stepped forward towards the girls. "Hey, hi, I mean what’s up? Everythink okay? What was that about these American boys?" Okay, not a good beginning but also not the worst. Probably the girls noticed his own american accent.

"And I think it would not made sense to look for Dray and the others. But I am sure we will find them later at the pub. Let us try to find a more comfortable place than staying in the passageway."
"I suppose...," Morgana nodded in agreement, although the last thing she wanted to do was just about anything that has to do with the Tournament. But she knew the worst case scenario was that she was going to have no choice but to compete, so she might as well make nice with her chosen teammate if she wanted to stand a chance.
"What about some sweets, Miss Parkinson,"
An unexpected smile cracked slightly on Morgana's lips at the sight of the mountain of treats that decorated the trolley. She was in a state of bliss as her eyes surveyed the different types of candy and felt rather nostalgic as she spotted the Bertie Bott's every flavor jelly beans. Sherlock was a big help to distracting Morgana from her current woes, and she felt so comfortable with him that she forgot that she was still holding his hand from their quick rush to make the train.
"Silly American boys don't ever know what zey are dealing with when zey cross me,"
Morgana had stood beside Sherlock when the minor altercation went down between Cami of Beauxbatons and Shane of Ilvermorny. Overhearing Cami boast to Shane about the immense competitive strength she was about to unleash during the Tournament made Morgana's stomach churn. Even Shane was more athletic and probably stronger than Morgana thought she ever had the capabilities of being. She felt so out of place and that she did not belong in a death defying Tournament, and with this thought coming across her mind she felt as if she had lost her appetite. Morgana cowered slightly behind Sherlock as she observed his attempt at conversing with the woman.
