*** Negan enters from Public Area ***
The next couple of hours Negan spent alone in his room, sitting on his black leather couch and pondering about their upcoming journey and the risks this decision could mean. But despite all risks, he would make the same damn decision again and again.
Lucille was resting on the table in front of him, while his hard features were focused on something invisible laying between. Ingrid was now gone for already a while, yet never had he allowed himself pronouncing her dead, also not in times when everyone else did or rather especially not then. His denial even went so far that any remark about her supposedly being dead had been punished by him; not like in the way he was punishing betrayal or something and also not officially announced but instead with letting them do things that he exactly knew they didn't like to do.
Anyways, this day was a good day for he finally had a track to work with. Ingrid was a survivor, of the best fucking sort that was. She was still alive. He knew it. He hoped it.
Eventually, a knock on his door was rousing him out of his thoughts. Negan picked up Lucille from the table, not in a defensive way but only to feel her presence back in his hands, before he answered the knock with a harsh: "Come in."
It was on time for a chat with little Sunshine.

Santana Lopez - tempplay by Lady Lee-o - Santana knew this was coming but had no idea what the outcome would be. Would she end up in the cells like her Papi? She didn't know what Negan was truly capable of and expected the worst. After all, she did try and kill him. "Come in." She put on her brave face, the one she used to harden her soft center. She had always been emotional but she couldn't afford that- not now. You had to be strong, better, you had to be unbreakable. It was hard for Santana since the outbreak she had been taken advantage of over and over again- every time her Papi would make them pay but now, something was different. Her father had expressed his loyalty to Negan and said she needed to do the same. Santana opened the door and stepped inside, her nerves high but she didn't show it. She moved to the center of the room and stared at him, right into his eyes and waited- she could now show him her fear.

Negan didn't rise from his sitting position, not even when Santana stopped her steps in the center of the room and stared at him like she wouldn't be the girl who had tried to shoot him. And although he knew this was no more than a mask, he would have lied if he said that he wasn't impressed.
"Take a seat.", he eventually said with the same harsh tone with which he had invited her into the room. Once she was sitting right opposite him, Negan placed Lucille back onto the table and casually leaned his folded hands on his knees. "I'd like to learn more about the teenage girl who got the guts to level a gun at me. So, let's have a little chat. Tell me something about you.", Negan claimed with a slight grin and with his eyes staring her down in a challenging way; a challenge he always saw himself winning, at that.

Santana Lopez - tempplay by Lady Lee-o - "Take a seat.", Santana moved and sat down across from him, keeping her cool and staying silent. She watched as he placed his weapon of choice on the table and leaned forward to look at her. "I'd like to learn more about the teenage girl who got the guts to level a gun at me. So, let's have a little chat. Tell me something about you.", Santana wasn't sure she wanted to share her story with this man. Information was important and she learned that oversharing could possibly be her end. "Not much to tell, I'm from Ohio and former Co-captain of a cheer squad. I was one of the top dogs at my high school, I ruled with an iron fist and I took shit from no one. I got what I wanted, I was spoiled, self-centered and sarcasm is my second language. Truth, I don't know if I'm ready to indulge everything with you. I don't know you but you saved my life and spared my father, so, I'm still here." Santana had it rough on the road, things did not work in her favor. "You're not the first king we ran across, beware of greedy kings, power is dangerous in the wrong hands. I was almost "Married" to one," she made the air quotes. "In short I'm hot and I attracted a lot of attention on the road. Things happened if you catch my drift, things I do not want to happen again."

Negan listened to her story in silence, his hands still folded on his knees. He could clearly see the spoiled teenager same as the grown girl who had experienced all kind of distress since the world as they knew it, had become a pile of shit. And just as Negan had made it his task to exert discipline over teenagers to help them on their way to becoming little badasses instead of little sissies in his times as a gym teacher, he still hewed to these old methods of education.
"You're not the first king we ran across, beware of greedy kings, power is dangerous in the wrong hands. I was almost "Married" to one,""In short I'm hot and I attracted a lot of attention on the road. Things happened if you catch my drift, things I do not want to happen again."
"I get it.", Negan answered rather gravely, empathy resonating in his voice, as he watched her in silence for another moment.
"So.", he lastly leaned back in his seat, suddenly sounding like all of this empathy was gone by the very next moment. "We have rules here. Firing a gun at the boss is one of the things that pants for punishment." He leaned back forward, watching her in thoughtfulness, when suddenly he came up with an idea. "Cheer squad you said, huh?"

What really had happened inside these four walls would remain a secret between only Negan and Santana. Maybe he had made her do something that was far away from things other men had made her do, yet still embarrassing for a teenager who hated the boss of this group that seemed to have become her father's and her new family though. Maybe, but just maybe, deep inside the teenager girl was thankful for the man who might appear as an asshole, yet not in the way she'd had to experience before. After all, Santana's story made him understand her a little better. It was always good to know your people.
