Just finished the second episode! It's pretty good so far. Not Lost good, but good. Interesting. Definitely looking forward to seeing where it goes.
When that shadow figure showed up in the son's drawing, I was intrigued. A lot more so when we saw the shadow on the pillar after that woman left the interview. Thought we were really getting a supernatural angle to the show!
At the end of the episode, when that woman was watching her own interview on the TV, we saw the shadow again and I was really starting to dig how things were going. But then we saw an actual person. Well, that left me just a little bit disappointed. I was wondering if there was an actual person or if it was this weird shadowy thing. Was kinda hoping for a weird shadowy thing. Ah well.
I'm still intrigued and still looking forward to more! Really hoping they make a good decision on where to go with this and on what had caused everything to happen.
I had a random thought whilst watching. What if it wasn't the people on the plane that had disappeared for five years but Earth that had fast forwarded while the plane and the people happened to be in a pocket safely away from it? What if the turbulence had been radiating off of Earth over whatever it was happening to it?
Very loose hypothesis as everyone on Earth seems to have been living normal lives. Their lives went on, technology progressed, etc. Plus, if all of Earth fast forwarded, I can't think of anything they could find or use to prove that or even think that in the first place.

The show is getting better! Only 3 eps left, I believe it said. There were a couple stumbles for me in some of the earlier episodes. It was leaning too much toward family drama with mystery as a backdrop. That's totally backward from what they should do, in my opinion. There's way too many boring family dramas around but not enough good mysteries. Glad it feels like they've swapped it back around. Only other thing that's bugged me is the whole Michaela and her ex thing. I really, really hate adultery. This new Zeke guy that came along, I like him SO much better! He added an interesting twist to the mystery and a new guy in Mic's life that I hope has the potential for more. Based off his first appearance last week, I'm totally shipping them.

Well, Manifest was cancelled but I think we've all seen by now that Manifest has been renewed for a final season by Netflix.
I wasn't bummed that it had gotten cancelled. It became such a garbled mess and the storylines were getting so cringey and silly. I'll be watching it only because I'd seen the rest, so might as well finish it off.
The only reason this was renewed was because it finally landed on Netflix and was one of the highest watched shows. But that was not because the show was great, it was because people who'd never seen it before now had a chance to binge it and Netflix doesn't exactly have a lot of great content. The concept and trailer alone make this show look very appealing and at the beginning it really was decent and had potential to be something great but instead of getting better, it just got worse and worse, in my opinion.

Netflix released a season 4 sneak peek for Geeked Week. Sadly, this clip did not get me hyped. It's due out sometime in 2022. I'll be checking it out and hoping that Netflix and maybe some new writers will have fixed the mess this show had become. Man, such potential in these types of fun scenarios and I've been dying for someone to do it right and do it well, like Lost, but they've all fallen flat and resorted to just plain drama and not making use of whatever fun supernatural element they first pitched it to us as.

The fourth and final season drops on November 4, 2022 on Netflix. Here's the trailer, which looks way better than that first look from a few months back:
