4 stars from me! I like episodes with a new plot coming up, even though Miles is not exactly one of my favorite characters. But I found his talent very interesting right from the start.
I totally enjoyed all the Hurley/Miles convo! It was so hilarious when Miles read out loud Hurley's Star Wars script. XD I actually think it wasn't a dumb but a brilliant idea. At first, though, I thought Hurley would admit that he's writing fanfiction stories, lol. And also the convo between Hurley/Miles and Dr. Chang made me crack up! XD
I felt sorry for that father that Miles had been visiting in the past when he told him that all his talking to his son had been a lie. On the other side, I can understand Miles for his statement. But I think, as for myself, I'm rather a forgiving person and would agree with Hurley saying that some people deserve a second chance. It depends on the situation though.
To see Miles watching his father how he treats his baby being very lovely made me teary-eyed. I think that actually was the best moment of this episode. Oh no! I wanna correct myself here. Best moment definitely was the ending! Dan!!! Now I'm really looking forward to the next episode! The time traveller is back, yay!

4 stars from me as well! It was great to learn more about Miles. Now we see what caused that attitude of his. I also loved that ending, how Hurley got passed his wall and got him to take a look at his dad differently. From what he saw, there seems to be more to the story than what his mother told him about her husband making them leave. She seemed pretty bitter and passed that bitterness on to Miles. I loved the Hurley/Miles scenes! I was totally smiling and laughing over the whole Empire Strikes Back thing and also about Hurley bragging that his ability to talk to the dead is better than Miles'. Hurley is such a sweetheart. Loved how he was trying to dig up information from Pierre in the van on behalf of Miles. The guy in the van that had snatched Miles, it took me a second, but I finally recognized him. He's the guy that's on the island in current time, not past, who'd been on the Ajira Flight 316. By the way, notice that the microwave at the beginning was on 3:16? XD Those writers and their fun Easter Eggs! But anyway, he's the dude with Ilana. They both seem to have some agenda on that island. He was talking in the flashback the same way he and Ilana are talking, sounding like some kind of cultish nuts. It's when he asked the question Ilana asked that it dawned on me, "What lies in the shadow of the statue?" So neat and surreal to see them building the hatch! Really love this whole living in the past thing. It just makes what we saw in the previous seasons so much more real. Building on the history. After finishing as a first time viewer, when you go back and watch again, you can remember all that stuff when they show up in the show. When Locke finds the hatch door, remembering those two guys imprinting it with the serial number. So crazy! Sucks for that Alvarez guy whose body was being taken to Pierre. Being killed by your own filling, that's gotta suck. It reminds me of season 2 when someone made a comment along the lines of, "my fillings always hurt when I walk by that wall." Well, at least it didn't get ripped out of your mouth! XD Man, shit is really hitting the fan with the young Ben situation. So glad to have Daniel back! But where has he been all this time? I remember someone asked about him but there wasn't really an answer. Seems he went off-island for some science-y stuff. They mentioned that it was a research team returning from Ann Arbor. Glad to have our adorable time travel nerd back! But he's not a time traveler, as you said. He seems to know all about time traveling but it was Desmond who mentally travelled back in time, not Daniel. Desmond did go and visit Daniel in the past though! Oh, also, the mystery of why Miles had asked Ben for $3.2 million in the previous season was solved! Though I don't know why Widmore decided on paying Miles $1.6 million. Why not just $1 million? Or $2 million? Also, the mystery of who exactly created the fake Oceanic crash was solved when Naomi had Miles talk to that corpse at the restaurant. The dead guy said he was delivering papers to Widmore including pictures of empty graves and a purchase order for a plane. Favorite quotes/moments:RADZINSKY: He fell into a ditch. MILES: Is that a bullet hole in his head? The ditch had a gun?
