4 stars from me! Not much exciting happened, this was more of a build-up for the season finale, but a great ep nonetheless!
So sad about Danielle. I almost feel sorry for young Eloise when she realizes what she did. Then I remember how she ultimately ends up handling it by being sure that she puts her own child on that same path so that one day, her younger self will end up shooting him. So sad.
I can't wait to learn more about Richard. He's definitely very intriguing, the way he casually talks about things that happened 30 years ago and here he is, looking the exact same. I can see that he seems to be getting leery of Locke and I don't blame him. Something is off. I totally agree with Richard when he said to Locke that he seems different.
We're finally going to find out who this Jacob person is! Curious why Locke is so hell bent on killing him. I don't remember Locke ever being so casual about killing a person. Seeing someone actually shock Ben and seeing him truly surprised for once was hilarious and also gives more depth to the seriousness of the situation. I also don't remember Locke ever being so authoritative. Even back in the day when he first put his whole faith into the island, he tried to calmly convince others of the importance of the island. Now he's taking charge and giving orders.
I loved the whole scene with Dr. Chang and Hurley, where Pierre was questioning Hurley and Hurley couldn't answer the questions. So funny! And Pierre acknowledging that Miles is his son. That was such a sweet moment. All these years, Miles grew up thinking his dad had abandoned him and his mother and now he's seeing the truth; that he did it all to get them safely away from the island.
Oh man. That sub scene was intense. I feel bad for Juliet. She looked so defeated when Kate showed up. Are they really gonna make it back out into the world? It's hard to picture them running around back in civilization in 1977!
Favorite quotes/moments:
Hurley/Dr. Chang scene.
Dr. Chang: (After throwing several other questions at Hurley) Who's the President of the United States? Hurley: (Giving up trying to figure the right answers to keep lying about actually being from 1977) Alright dude, we're from the future.

4 stars from me as well! It has been a while I've watched this episode, so I won't write a lot. Anyways, feel like the writing is keeping me from continuing, although it is fun talking about it; just I wish I had more time. *sigh* Richard is one of the most interesting and mysterious characters I think. Really looking forward to learning more about him as well! And he's the guy with the eyeliner. XD I kind of love all scenes between Locke and Ben, even though nowadays it seems their roles got swapped. I still like Ben a lot, actually feeling sorry for him sometimes lol. Yes! The questioning scene with Dr. Chang and Hurley was really funny! Almost all scenes with Hurley are lol. And I kinda like Dr. Chang. Meanwhile, I've become so much a Suliet shipper that I was somehow sad when Kate was showing up at the sub as well.

Kinda off topic... I understand about the writing thing. I think it's holding me back from watching as frequently cuz I make sure I have enough time to watch AND write cuz I make myself write up my review and thoughts right after. I'm thinking when/if we do another watch along, we'll do just one thread for the title and just pipe in whenever we wanna discuss something interesting that came up, mention we're watching whichever ep so we can all kinda keep up with each other, etc. I made the Lost one a really huge thing cuz I was so hoping for the Lost Rewatch to become like it had been back in the MFC Lost Forum days. Crazy amount of people chatting like crazy! Ah well.

I like that idea!! And as I said: totally love doing it this way but it really keeps me from continuing sometimes. *sigh* Anyways, only one last season away from being caught up on the show!
