Emmy winning writer Jessica Gao set to develop new Disney+ series about She-HulkBy Rosy Cordero November 10, 2019 at 06:30 PM EST Emmy Award-winning writer Jessica Gao will help bring Marvel’s She-Hulk to life for Disney+. The Ricky and Morty writer has been hired to develop and lead the show’s writing room, The Hollywood Reporter announced on Sunday. She confirmed the news by sharing THR‘s announcement, saying, “DREAM COME TRUE. I AM DECEASED. (Don’t worry, I will resurrect to do the job.)” Gao has an impressive resume, with credits on shows like Robot Chicken, Silicon Valley, and Rick and Morty. She won a Primetime Emmy Award in 2018 for the Rick and Morty episode “Pickle Rick” Details regarding the new She-Hulk series have been in short supply since it was first announced at D23 in August. The comic, created by Stan Lee and artist Steve Buscema, made its debut in 1980 on the cover of Savage She-Hulk #1. It tells the story of Bruce Banner’s cousin, Jessica Walters, who becomes a milder version of The Incredible Hulk after Banner gives her a blood transfusion. Walters is an attorney who uses her new superpowers to fight crime, eventually joining the Fantastic Four. She later transforms permanently into the She-Hulk and joins the Avengers down the line. So it’s no surprise that Marvel’s Kevin Feige teased that She-Hulk had a bright future ahead. “You will meet her in her Disney+ series and then you will see her in our films,” he announced. “It is incredibly exciting for us.” See Source link for pics, etc: ew.com/tv/2019/11/10/emmy-award-winning-writer-jessica-gao-develop-new-disney-series-she-hulk/?did=458599-20191117&utm_campaign=ewk-tv_newsletter&utm_source=ew.com&utm_medium=email&utm_content=111719&cid=458599&mid=26604162805

I'm just still so sad about how they had changed the Hulk in Endgame...

EPISODE ONE REVIEW & EASTER EGGS Really enjoyed the first episode! Jennifer and Bruce were so fun together. Her fixation on Cap's v-card was funny and the stinger was hilarious! Learned on a podcast that they asked Kevin Feige if that was something they could talk about on the show and Feige immediately said he had the answer. LOL! Many of us wondering and Feige had the answer in his mind all this time! I was relieved to see that the CG was definitely better in the show than it was in the trailer. I'm ignoring that it's not perfect, not just because it's dealing with a TV budget, but also because of Tatiana Maslaney and cast coming to the defense of the graphics people, which made me realize that when it comes down to it, we're criticizing these artists who are working hard to bring the best they can. CG men are much easier with the stubble and such to distract from the smoothness of the skin. Hard to pull that off with more feminine features without it looking a little plastic-y. Really interested in learning more about the ship from Sakaar that caused the accident. Wonder if that's something that'll play into the show or something that'll be in the next movie that really revolves around Hulk. Bruce did say he should look into it, but depending on how much he's gonna be in the show, it might not happen here? The 4th wall breaking is also fun. I learned from the vids below as well as podcasts that She-Hulk was actually breaking the 4th wall in comics long before Deadpool was even around. We'll see if she can also "step into" a different scene as she did in the comics. I'm thinking they might not do that as that feels like it might be going a little to far for things outside of the comics. ScreenCrush has put out some really great vids! The first is the usual episode breakdown then two other vids breaking down info on the World War Hulk comics and the whole 4th wall thing.

I've actually been hesitating as for watching this show since there's so many on my watchlist still and the recent stuff from Marvel made me loosing interest in the universe as it is nowadays, but I just wanted to watch something new today, so I decided to start this show anyway. I enjoyed it much more than I thought I would. It still feels to me that Bruce Banner isn't the same character like he had been before, but I liked the chemistry between these two. Also, I had no idea the actress from She-Hulk is the same from the show Orphan Black. I really like her, and she's doing an awesome job. I hope I can enjoy the show until the end.

Sorry you're losing interest in the MCU. I'm still loving it. Not sure anything can beat the Infinity Saga, but I'm really digging the Multiverse Saga so far. It's what everything's been building toward and is just at the beginning of it and there's such great potential for unique and fun storylines that expand universes and worlds and I'm looking forward to meeting new characters and seeing more of some of the new ones. Most especially, Moon Knight! Can't wait to see him in other stuff!
The nice thing is that it's like the Infinity Saga is its own entirely separate thing so even if you don't get into the Multiverse Saga, there's always the Infinity Saga to go back to. To me, it feels like Endgame was a good ending and you can ignore the next Saga if it's not your thing without it ruining what came before, unlike other shorter things like trilogies where a third one can ruin the whole thing and leave the story feeling incomplete if you try to ignore the last entry.
Yup, Tatiana Maslaney from Orphan Black is starring in this! She's such an amazing actress. Also hope you can enjoy the whole show. Bruce doesn't really feel different to me. He's grown and changed and experienced so much. I've seen the movies tons of times and he doesn't seem like he's drastically changed from one movie to the next. It's been a progression. He's dealt with so much, things he's done, losses... and it seems he's finally learned to take it in stride.
But hey, that's just my view on it. Smart Hulk is what the comics built up to and what the movie also built up to. It's the way that Bruce and Hulk learn to work in harmony so he doesn't lose control again.
The writers have been pretty good at keeping consistencies! The vid from ScreenCrush helped me out with the whole timeline regarding his arm in a sling, him being back to human form in the Shang-Chi stinger, an explanation of how he was able to be in human form and remain so during an accident where Hulk would normally have come out, etc. These writers are so on it! I like that something in Jennifer's DNA was able to help him finally heal his arm from the after effect of using the infinity stones. I also like that Jennifer seems to be more in control. I'm thinking it's because she was "infected" by the gamma radiation at a far lower level than Bruce was, via his blood getting into hers rather than getting blasted by gamma radiation as Bruce had.
I also liked her explanation of how and why she felt so in control.
Okay, I'm gonna stop my tired work brain prattling before this becomes another essay. The one in my Lost ep was probably torturous enough for you to have to read through. XD

Well, it's not that I would hate it now, I just lost this hype with it; even think that's a pity. Or maybe it's because I feel overwhelmed with all this shows and movies, lol. I haven't watched Moonknight yet, same as the new Thor movie. Since we don't have a cinema here as close as I had before, I miss watching stuff there. And then everyone has seen it before I have anyway.

I'm digging this show. It's been a fun and funny ride so far and I can't WAIT for Daredevil to show up! I think it'll be next ep judging by the ending of this week's ep 5. Jen's courtroom scene was rough. Idiot dudes. Poor girl! No wonder she's starting to like being She-Hulk better than her original self. It was satisfying to see Titania lose, but man, that was a rough cost.
