Bruce was restlessly wandering in his cell, which resulted in no more than a few steps to the one and another few to the other side, only to repeat the same procedure right after. It was to calm himself, yet he felt Hulk's presence more than ever. Not in the way like he would fear him to take over - since that hadn't happened in a long while - but in the way of feeling his anger to rise up to a level that gave him a cause for alarm in general. Gamora had been away for quite a while already, and Bruce feared that her lack of knowledge about the legal situation on earth could become a problem for them. This whole plan - if Tony even had one - didn't seem quite clear to him. He also worried about the other team, and if they were safe. But then again, Hope van Dyne seemed to be someone who had everything under control. Probably more than Tony actually, Bruce added to himself, as he threw one careful look over at his science bro, who didn't even look like he was worrying at all.

At least Tony’s plan didn’t work well. They were captured and brought into something like a prison. But still they hoped these people would listen to them and so they kept on playing these strange game. Hopefully Gamora would do so, too. She had been seperated from them for a long time now. Too long for his liking But during his time with the Guardians of the Galaxy Thor learned that the so-called most dangerous woman of the galaxy was the one who could control her temper best comparing to the other members of the team. Maybe these people were going to talk to all of them.
But meanwhile the God of Thunder got bored. So he decided that a little conversation would be the best to kill time. "Hey, guys. What about a game or something else to cheat the time? I once heard about a game called 'I spy with my little eye'. If you don’t mind, I’ll start with it. So, let me think about it for a moment…" Thor didn’t wait if the others agreed to join his game, he just started with it. "Hey, I know something. So, I spy with my little eye something delicious in a huge goblet and it’s called mead! Yeah, I would do nearly everything for a gulp of mead…" The Asgardian obviously didn’t get the rules of that little game. "Who’s next? Bruce? Or what about you, Tony? Oh, or you, Mantis? I'm sure you like games, huh?!"

(temp played by Hollywood Heidi)
Mantis was confused by the title of the game but watched and waited with interest, listening intently to Thor's answer to figure out how to play. Based on his answer, she assumed you shared with the group something you remembered fondly. 'Little eye' must be another term for 'mind's eye'.
"Oh! Oh! I'll go!" she said far too excitedly for someone in a small glass cage who looked very eligible to be chosen as a science dissection project. "I spy with my little eye..." Mantis' antennae twitched in the direction of the door just before it opened and their missing team member walked back through with a guard. "Gamora!!!" she said, excitedly hopping and clapping for her return in perfectly good shape, looking no more than her usual setting of serious with a twinge of annoyance.

*** Gamora enters Cells (Temp-play by Ariel) ***
The guard had removed her bionic wrist restraints before thrusting her through the door to the Cells, directing her in the way of her empty Cell that awaited her return. And it appeared that her Cell wasn't the only thing waiting for her return.
"Gamora!!!"
Mantis' excitement to see her friend still in one piece echoed through the metal encased facility, unmatched with the unsettling tone of the room. A gaze of slight annoyance was noticeable on Gamora's face as it flickered in Mantis' direction before turning back seriousness. As she faced the entrance of her Cell, Gamora complied and walked herself in. Her body lowered to situate itself on the edge of the Cell cot as she remained wordless, the fear and anxiety still plaguing her body. No one liked to be separated and questioned, especially in unknown territory with unpredictable beings. Gamora felt that she got lucky this time, but they still faced the unknown of the outcome for this situation and that terrified her greatly.

"Hey, guys. What about a game or something else to cheat the time? I once heard about a game called 'I spy with my little eye'. If you don’t mind, I’ll start with it. So, let me think about it for a moment…"
Please no..., Tony thought without even looking up.
"Hey, I know something. So, I spy with my little eye something delicious in a huge goblet and it’s called mead! Yeah, I would do nearly everything for a gulp of mead…"
At that, his head turned upwards for a moment, after all. Was he even aware of...?
"Who’s next? Bruce? Or what about you, Tony? Oh, or you, Mantis? I'm sure you like games, huh?!"
Obviously not.
"Oh! Oh! I'll go!"
Tony shook his head slightly before busying himself with his thoughts again, thinking of a potential text message towards Pepper - as soon as they would be out of here -, of other words for 'I hate to say this, darling, but you were right (again). I screwed things up... (again).' Or was he just searching for a reason to text her in the first place? Their last encounter via message was confusing enough to make him wonder.
"I spy with my little eye...""Gamora!!!"
Everyone, including Tony, was looking up at the unclosing door cell, in which two guards appeared together with their green companion in their middle. Tony tried to read Gamora's features to find out how the interview might have gone without actually asking, especially not as long as one of the guards was still standing there and glancing... straight at him.
"You're next, Mr. Stark, if you please..", the guard suddenly said.
"So, we're not doing save the best for last?", Tony replied with a smug, yet it seemed this man had no sense of humor, like not at all. With a quiet sigh, Tony stood up from his cot and stepped out of the cell, once the man had unlocked it with his key.
In passing, Tony couldn't help but quickly throw a comment over at Thor. "Sorry breakin' it to you, but you just messed up Earth's easiest game." Without any hint of amusement on his face, for this was just a fact, Tony walked out with the two guards to be next for a private interview.

Bruce had remained quiet and inconspicuous during all this game scenario, although there was a moment when he'd wondered if someone should tell Thor the way he was playing this game didn't make any sense, but then he had decided against. You wouldn't tell a kid that its teddy isn't really talking. Not that he would see Thor as a kid... maybe sometimes... comparable.
When there was the mention of Gamora though, Bruce raised his head as well. He tried to read her face, just like Tony did, but all he could say was just that she looked rather terrified or at least very relieved about this was over now. Bruce truly wasn't looking forward to these one-on-ones, but now even less than before.
He was just glad that it wasn't him who was next but instead Tony. Bruce could only hope that the interview with Tony would give them enough information to need no more. Anyways, Bruce continued to look as inconspicuous as possible. That was the best thing he could do when it was him at the controls and not the other guy.

It was obvious that neither Bruce nor Tony wanted to enter the game. Thor was sure that Bruce tried to calm down himself and observe their situation inwardly – at least maybe with the help of on of his doctor titles. And Tony… Well, he was just Tony. He haven't change since their last meeting a few years ago. But luckily Mantis decided to join his little game. The Asgardian loved her enthusiatis character. Most of the time she appeared to act like a curious child. "Oh! Oh! I'll go!" "I spy with my little eye..." "Gamora!!!" She was right. He also could see her. A guard brought her back to them. Gamora didn’t say a word. But her body language told more about her feelings than words could ever tell. Watching her being in this situation reminded Thor of his time on Sakaar. "You're next, Mr. Stark, if you please.." The guard’s voice suddenly interrupted his thoughts. "So, we're not doing save the best for last?" Just Tony. Nothing more to add. "Sorry breakin' it to you, but you just messed up Earth's easiest game." First Thor stared at him with a look of confusion. "And you’re a party pooper," he shouted after him before he and the guard went out of their sight.
Suddenly there was this awkward silence. The God of Thunder felt like he should be the one to break it. Although Bruce wanted to be alone roaming in his thoughts and Gamora felt like being alone at a unknown place they shouldn’t keep the silence. "Okay, I think Mantis won the game," he said for lack of anything better to say at the first moment. "We all see Gamora." But then he turned to the green woman. "Bear up! I know how you feel right now. It's never easy to be confronted by strange people on an unfamiliar world." He raised his voice for a moment into Bruce’s direction. "Am I right, Banner?!" But he didn’t wait for an answer. He even wasn’t sure if Bruce had lsiten to his words. "Gamora, you’re not alone. And don’t forget that it’s Tony who is now talking to them. He‘ll tell them what happened and convince them to help us fighting against Thanos. And if not we have to find a way out on our own. Believe me, there’s always a way out – right, Banner?!"

Mantis only received the usual look of annoyance from Gamora before she became her usual unreadable self. If it weren't for her ability to feel what people were feeling through touch, she'd have thought Gamora a living stone.
Thor was speaking but she was too preoccupied to listen. She was actually worried for herself. Ego had put it into her head that she was safe if she stayed with him. He, a superior being, possessed an abundance of knowledge and wouldn't stoop to the primitive practices of lesser beings. He'd painted a gruesome picture of what might happen to someone very different from the people of a planet, especially if the people did not seem to possess abilities that made hers seem extraordinary. But Ego was gone now, which was good because he'd turned out to be a very bad man.
Placing her hands on the glass and trying her best to see Gamora from her angle, Mantis' antennae automatically angled toward Gamora's cell in a fruitless attempt to pick up emotional signals.
As soon as Thor finished speaking, she did not wait for Banner to answer the query Thor had put to him, not even realizing there had been one. "Will they make me into a science project?" she blurted out toward Gamora, a twinge of worry in her usually light and sweet tone.

"Gamora, you’re not alone. And don’t forget that it’s Tony who is now talking to them. He‘ll tell them what happened and convince them to help us fighting against Thanos. And if not we have to find a way out on our own. Believe me, there’s always a way out – right, Banner?!"
Gamora's worried gaze fixated on Pirate Angel, who offered his words of comfort. The confidence he exuded was slightly overbearing for her liking, though she understood he spoke from a good place. How could he be so sure? According to his words, he always crossed paths with Lady Luck and managed to climb out of every situation he had ever been in. Yet, none of them knew what they were dealing with, not in the way that Gamora knew.
"Will they make me into a science project?"
Before Gamora could say anything to Thor, Mantis piped up once more. Gamora's eyes flickered over to bring the antenna wearing alien into sight who had retracted her usual bubbly personality. Gamora saw the moment that the wave of terror had washed over Mantis as sudden horror began to swim around in her large eyes. In this moment, Gamora knew she didn't have to be as overly confident as Thor - but she had to be strong for her friends. She didn't realize how crippling it must be for Mantis to watch not only one of the galaxy's most powerful assassins - but someone she holds dear to her heart crumble at the strike of Thanos. Picking up her pieces, Gamora softened with a small, nasally sigh as she picked herself off of the cell cot and walk to the front of her cell.
"No," Gamora's worry morphed into empathy for her struggling friend, pressing the palms of her green hands against the confinement as she addressed Mantis directly, "They want to help. Yet, Humans are no match for what is coming," Gamora spoke regrettably, she didn't know how else to put the truth except into words. She wanted to tell them everything. Yet, there was no way they could know what she knew. Thanos didn't have all the stones yet, he could still be killed. But with the help of the humans, could they really kill him before he comes for her?

... ...
"Am I right, Banner?!"
Bruce had been absorbed deep in thoughts, or rather, worries when suddenly he heard his name gotten called out. With perplexion on his features, he raised his head, but before he could have reacted in any way, Thor just went on talking to Gamora. And so Bruce went back to thinking and worrying until only a moment later his name was yet again mentioned.
... right, Banner?!"
"Uhm..."
"Will they make me into a science project?"
That question drew Bruce's attention away from Thor and instead to the, up to this point, so optimistic seeming Mantis. He threw a compassionate look over at her. If a person like her lost her hopes already, then who shall still be hopeful?
"No,", Gamora replied to her with a softened voice. "They want to help. Yet, Humans are no match for what is coming,"
"Humans might not.", Bruce interrupted, all of a sudden. "But they have us. And not all of us are completely humanly." At that, he lowered his eyes to his own hands. Most of his life, he had seen the other one as a curse, but what if Hulk was a blessing now where they would be going to face something they never had before. He surely wasn't saying that this would become a piece of cake, but if they gave up already now, then they have already lost. He had cut himself off from his responsibility for way too long.

Thor wasn’t surprised that banner didn’t give him an answer. In fact, his questions hadn’t been real questions. It was just the God’s normal way to act and speak.
But it was Mantis‘ soft and anxious voice that made even Thor getting serious again. "Will they make me into a science project?" This time the others had been faster than himself and tried to cheer her up again.
"No," "They want to help. Yet, Humans are no match for what is coming,"
"Humans might not." "But they have us. And not all of us are completely humanly."
"Gamora and Bruce are right! At least I am called the God of Thunder – and I always do my best to protect my people. We’re here together – you’re my people now. So I will protect you! And don’t forget the big green guy… Um, well, Banner is hiding him for the moment. But trust me, he’s very, very strong – nearly as strong as myself. Oh, and don’t forget our strong green Warrior-Lady…" Thor made a short pause and turned his head to the so-called 'most dangerous woman in space'. "I’m looking forward to see you in action, Gamora," he said while he gave her a toothy grin. Then he turned back to Mantis. "Don’t worry, Mantis! We’ll save you from any harm. We’re heroes – and that’s what heroes do!" Suddenly he had to remember the last time he had said these words – and he realized that he still missed his hammer…

Mantis' wholehearted trust in her crewmates had her quickly bouncing back to her usual gleeful self with Gamora's reassurance.
"Gamora is a great warrior," she said in agreement. Knowing that Gamora wasn't comfortable with the giving or receiving of compliments, Mantis tried to help by offering a compliment to Thor in return on Gamora's behalf. "Gamora is very impressed by your muscles," she said matter-of-factly, recalling Gamora's actions and words as she admired an unconscious Thor's muscles after they'd brought him on board. "They are like Chitauri metal fibers, right, Gamora?" she encouraged, using the same description Gamora had.

"Gamora is a great warrior," "Gamora is very impressed by your muscles,""They are like Chitauri metal fibers, right, Gamora?"
"What?" Gamora's instilled gratitude changed dramatically at the mention of her admiration for the Angel Pirate's incredible muscle structure. The embarrassment that swept over her face was so drastic that the green in her complexion almost began to fade to white. "No, I-I mean," Her panic of what to say to cover herself in that moment brought her to her feet, as her startled gaze panned from Mantis to Thor. Peter flashed across her mind, and her stomach felt ill. Never in a million light years would she fathom being with anyone else, and her loyalties lay to him no matter the present circumstances. "...Just an observation." Gamora sighed, as she gave Thor an apologetic smile before her eyes sent daggers Mantis' way. She knew the bug woman didn't mean any harm, though Gamora wished that she would keep her mouth shut at times.

"Gamora and Bruce are right! At least I am called the God of Thunder – and I always do my best to protect my people. We’re here together – you’re my people now. So I will protect you! And don’t forget the big green guy… Um, well, Banner is hiding him for the moment. But trust me, he’s very, very strong – nearly as strong as myself."
Nearly? Bruce was not interrupting but made a slightly doubtful face, even giving Mantis and Gamora a look that shyly stated what Hulk would have given voice to right away and full of pride. But that was not how Banner was. Still, he couldn't help doing that face behind Thor's back, at least. Let's just say he'd heard different. He still couldn't think of a scenario in which Thor had defeated the Hulk in the arena back at Sakaar, but if Thor said he did, it must be so. After all, they were both standing here in one piece, weren't they?
"Oh, and don’t forget our strong green Warrior-Lady…""I’m looking forward to see you in action, Gamora,""Don’t worry, Mantis! We’ll save you from any harm. We’re heroes – and that’s what heroes do!"
Now, he was laying it on a bit too thick there. It had taken Bruce a while to come to terms with the Avengers title, to be honest, especially much more a while than it had taken Tony, but he wouldn't go so far calling himself, or the Hulk for that matter, a hero. Bruce still said nothing though, as he was waiting for Thor to finish with his speech of motivation. After all, it seemed to have worked on Mantis, as she was back to her gleeful self in no time.
"Gamora is a great warrior,""Gamora is very impressed by your muscles,""They are like Chitauri metal fibers, right, Gamora?"
And then suddenly Bruce felt kind of out of place, almost as if in Thor's place, or, as it seemed, in Gamora's place. How did the conversation take this turn?
"What?""No, I-I mean,""...Just an observation."
This feeling of being out of place mixed with slight curiosity, but he surely wouldn't ask what had happened in space while Bruce had been dealing with Thor's inconsistent brother on earth. He decided to speak up again, after all, to change the topic back to their current situation instead. "I think what Thor is going to say is that we might have a chance to defeat this Thanos guy with all our strengths combined." Although, Bruce personally hoped it wouldn't get to that point in the first place. But who was he to assess these creatures from outer space...?

The God of Thunder didn’t realize Bruces facial reactions when he called himself stronger than the Hulk. For him it was a fact. If the Grandmaster wouldn’t have cheated he would have won the fight!
"Gamora is a great warrior," "Gamora is very impressed by your muscles,""They are like Chitauri metal fibers, right, Gamora?" Hah, the bug lady got it. She already found back to her lovely self. But wait, what did she said about his muscles and Gamora?! "What?" "No, I-I mean," "...Just an observation." "Did you really said this?," he looked at Gamora. "Well, thank you for the compliment – I mean for your observation."
But before they could get lost in side issues Bruce made them all think about the reason why they were here. "I think what Thor is going to say is that we might have a chance to defeat this Thanos guy with all our strengths combined." "Yes, you’re right, Banner. That’s what I‘ve already said. Together we will defeat Thanos!" One of Thor’s best characteristics was his irrepressible optimism especially when it came to tough fights.
But right at the moment they couldn’t do anything instead of waiting for their turn to talk to a government-guy. "Hey, Gamora. The guy from the government – what did he asked you? And what did you already told him?"

"Hey, Gamora. The guy from the government – what did he asked you? And what did you already told him?"
Gamora gulped her nerves down her throat as she suddenly found herself confronted with her latest encounter with the humans that captured them. She hesitated slightly as she recalled the conversation that was had and the questions that were asked. Her hands still felt slightly shaking as she remembered just how frightened to her core she was, unaware of what exactly was going to happen to her during those moments.
"The human was a female," Gamora started, correcting Thor before she proceeded, "Everything happened so quickly," Gamora claimed as she tried to recall the experience, though her nervousness made everything jumble up into one big blur, "She examined me, said they were here to help us. She asked me about my father...," Gamora's voice quivered as her words trailed off for a moment. She wasn't sure if what she said to the woman was appropriate or even the right answer. Gamora knew she would find out once Tony Stark returned from his own experience, "...I didn't have much to report." Gamora left it at that as the retreated back to her cell bed and sat on top of it defensively.

Gamora's stuttering and change in coloring was very out of character. Apparently she was far more uncomfortable in the realm of compliments than Mantis had thought. Then Gamora gave her that look again. The one that Mantis thought meant that she was upset with her. But then, she wore that expression so often and toward so many that Mantis was beginning to wonder if it was merely a natural resting face of her kind.
As the rest spoke, Mantis couldn't help but think, once again, how very different and odd beings outside of her own kind were. So closed up, not just burying their feelings, but masking them by pretending different feelings. It was as if they locked themselves in a cage, never allowing themselves to truly be free, never allowing themselves to express how they felt which held them back from what they wanted.
It was a torture they brought upon themselves that a being from a world where feelings and emotions were almost as visible as physical features could never understand.

*** Tony, led by the two guards, enters from The Raft - Lab ***
He wasn't looking forward to spending any more time in these cells, yet it seemed that the only thing that would get them out of here was either making Fiona talk or waiting for Hope to team up with Rogers and the rest. Tony didn't even think of the bunch around her for he wasn't taking them very seriously - maybe only the talking ferret (wow, that sounds like quite a contradiction). As for Rogers and the rest, he also bet that Captain One-eye was one of the party. However, Tony still wasn't sure how he felt about seeing Rogers again, but this was, maybe for once, not about him.
While they walked past the single cells, Tony focused on Banner's cell, trying to lock eyes with him. But for some reason, his friend seemed to be too absorbed in his own thoughts. With a quiet sigh, Tony tore off one of the buttons of his jacket - you don't care so much how expensive it was when you're Tony Stark and own a thousand of them - and inconspicuously flipped it over at the glass of his friend's cell, right in time before one of the guards was closing the door of his own.
For the time being, he ignored Banner's aroused attention and instead addressed Thor. "Your turn, Point Break." Tony didn't sound like he was going to give any information about how his own interview had gone, at least not now, as he turned back to Bruce right after.
"Hey..."

Bruce was still pondering over Gamora's words when Tony came back in with the two guards. He knew these interviews were not to convict them, but he couldn't help inwardly wincing at the thought of getting asked personal questions. He'd been away from the public eye for a long time, and the last time they had seen him was when the Hulk had laid Sokovia into ashes. Bruce was neither proud of that, nor did he really like to recall. Suddenly, something hit the glass pane of his cell, rousing him from his thoughts. He looked up as he met eyes with Tony, who was just getting confined back into his cell. Instead of answering his confused expression, Tony turned his attention towards Thor. "Your turn, Point Break."Just as Bruce's eyes were wandering over at the Asgardian, Tony tried to draw his attention yet again. If he didn't think of him being brilliant, he probably would think of him being kind of... "Hey...""I'm no monkey in a zoo, Tony. You don't need to throw things at me to catch my attention." "You would throw things at a monkey? Wow, of all people around, I'd seen you as the one..." "Is this for a specific purpose?" Bruce interrupted him. Before Tony went on, he seemed to throw a gaze at one of the others again, and then back to Bruce.
"Okay, you gotta do something for me..." Their conversation went on in a whispered yet not too suspicious looking level, although, here and there, Tony was using code words to not speak out loud Gamora's name while asking his friend to do him the favor of finding out more about the secret she was hiding from Thanos, for which he was using code words as well. In the end, though, it seemed like Bruce was even more confused than he'd been before this strange conversation had started.
"What?"

"The human was a female," Oh, okay, a woman. "Everything happened so quickly," "She examined me, said they were here to help us. She asked me about my father...," "...I didn't have much to report." Well, at least this people wanted to help them. "Okay, if they want to help us we should get out from these cells very soon. Leave it to me." That was all he said for the moment. No more words needed. Especially because everyone else started to drown in their own thoughts again.
It took a short while which they had spent in silence until Tony was brought back to them. "Hey, Tony," Thor was the first one who finally broke their silence. He wondered why his friend snapped off a button from his jacket and throw it to Bruce’s cell. "Your turn, Point Break." The God of Thunder was used to Tony’s manner calling them all by strange names. Still he wondered who that was. Maybe one day he should ask Tony about that.
The two guards came to him and opened his cell. Thor was not sure but they seemed to be a bit nervous. One of them seemed to be prepared to take his weapon, a baton, very quick if needed. "Hey, don’t worry," he adressed the men. "This sticks wouldn’t help you if I would be bent on doing you harm…" He also gave a short laughter. It was just a joke to relax the situation. Surely they knew that this was just an information and that he didn’t really want to attack them… But the men didn't laugh. Maybe they were told never to do so or they were just serious persons. "Just follow us, please," one of them said. And the Asgardian did as they told him. He didn’t want to play up.

Sitting on the cot in her cell, Gamora remained silent as the other rambled on in conversation. Her mind was wrapped up in a million different problems and scenarios, especially one in particular. The very one that made her separate herself from her true love and brought her here. She sat upright suddenly, alerted by Tony Stark's entrance back into his cell. The contents of his interview ate away at Gamora from the inside and she was anxious to know what happened.
"Did you see the female in the white coat?" Gamora stood up from her bed as she addressed Tony and wandered back over to the bars that encased her confinement as she interrupted the conversation between Tony and Bruce, "Are they going to help us?"

"What?"
"Really?" Tony asked in disbelief that nothing from his sophisticated secret language seemed to have reached Banner's clever mind. Maybe he really had been in Hulk mode for too long, like he had stated before.
"Did you see the female in the white coat?", suddenly Gamora interrupted their little private conversation. Well, however, it seemed like Tony had to take matters into his own hands then. "Are they going to help us?"
"Good you're asking, my friend from another... planet... universe... kinda place?" Tony started, trying to kiss up to her before asking her to do them the favor of revealing her top secret information about her bad parental unit. Then he went on anyway. "Never mind. Unfortunately, they persist in a quid pro quo. But that's not a problem, right? Because we've got information to share. Right?" He hoped that was enough to make her talk.

"Really?"
Slightly annoyed, Bruce turned his attention away from Tony as soon as he was drawing his attention away from him. Why did he feel like Tony was consistently trying to push his buttons to make him either join his grand plans or doing them for him in the first place?
"Did you see the female in the white coat?""Are they going to help us?"
"Good you're asking, my friend from another... planet... universe... kinda place?""Never mind. Unfortunately, they persist in a quid pro quo. But that's not a problem, right? Because we've got information to share. Right?"
Now it was on Bruce to react with a Really?, although only inwardly. He was sure that Gamora wouldn't just share this dangerous information she had mentioned with Tony Stark of all people. She might not have heard about Iron Man before, Bruce granted, but probably had seen him acting up too much already to know that there must be a safer way than entrusting herself to a man that gained prominence, more than he already had had by that point, by publicly saying the words I am Iron Man. Yet still, Bruce said nothing but instead observed them in silence, maybe hoping that she didn't know him well enough already, after all.

Gamora had been so willing to come with Tony and his team to land them in this situation. She wanted to do the right thing and tell them what she knew. Yet, the cost would be heavy and Gamora knew that those who were aware of what Thanos was going to do with her may be endangered. Was it worth it to risk the lives of a few and tell them, or not say anything at all and risk the lives of everyone on Earth? "If anyone knows what I know...and if Thanos get ahold of them...he'll use them and then kill them. I don't want anyone to die because of me...but if I don't and he finds out another way...," Gamora appeared to be internally conflicted as she stared helplessly at Tony who was pleading with her to speak of what she knew.

"If anyone knows what I know...and if Thanos get ahold of them...he'll use them and then kill them. I don't want anyone to die because of me...but if I don't and he finds out another way...,"
For once, it was Bruce who leapfrogged somebody, Tony Stark at that. Without taking a step closer in their direction or calling attention to himself other than with his sudden voice, he replied to Gamora on Tony's behalf. "I don't know this Thanos guy, and I might have no idea how powerful he is, but what I can tell is that locking something up inside of yourself... does harm especially... yourself. And how can we function in a group, battling something together, when we already fight our own battle all by ourselves? I guess... sometimes we must take the risk to trust and share a burden with other people... Even Tony and me, as scientists, can't calculate possible versions of the future, so the only thing we can do is to try everything... together."
Before he had spoken up, Bruce had had actually no idea what to say, as he surely wasn't someone who was very good at holding motivation speeches, or speeches in general, but once he had finished this, Bruce realized that his words had affected at least one person in this prison - himself.

Tony was aware of the fact that Banner wasn't only talking about Gamora's secret information but also about himself. That something, or rather someone, he had locked up inside himself for so long and now seemed to have found his inner peace with - or, at least, was on his best way to find it. Good for Bruce. No, Tony really was psyched for his friend.
He was gazing at Bruce for another moment before he turned his face back to Gamora. "What he said."

Mantis had watched the guards escort Thor out feeling far less concerned than when they'd first appeared to take Gamora away. Both Gamora and the sarcastic man had gone and returned unscathed. It had been particularly a relief when Gamora had returned. Not because she'd been first, but because, like Mantis, Gamora did not resemble these humans.
She observed and listened quietly. Mantis never had had the benefit of social interactions. Raised by Ego from a larva state, she'd only had the company of him. Ego had loved to talk and had been kind to her, but he treated her more like a pet and had never encouraged her to converse with him. They traveled all over the galaxy, but Mantis was never allowed to accompany him onto any of the planets. Ego had the ability to alter his appearance to match the beings of each planet they visited. She could not.
Social interactions she might not know about, but she did know about secrets. She'd carried Ego's secret her whole life. All the damage he'd done on so many planets. All the lives he'd taken. It took meeting the Guardians to learn that just because someone told you to keep something secret, did not mean it was the right thing to do. However, she figured the opposite could be true. Gamora was hesitant to share her secret. She was someone who had experience in the galaxy, she was smart and a survivor. She'd been taken and raised by Thanos. Mantis trusted Gamora's judgment. But these people of Earth all seemed to keep so much to themselves and yet worked at getting others to reveal what they were hiding.
All those years feeling as if she did not have a choice when it came to carrying a secret left her feeling adamant about it being up to the person carrying the secret to determine if it is more harmful to keep the secret or to tell it.
"Secrets can be harmful," she said with a cognizance that said she'd put it mildly. "But there are times when telling them can also be harmful." Like when she kept it a secret from Ego that she'd told the Guardians his secret. They would not have been able to defeat him otherwise. "The more people you tell, the more ways Thanos has of learning it." A polite way of saying the more lives that would be at risk. Not only the people who knew, but the people who were important to the people who knew would be used.
Mantis placed her hand on the glass as if symbolically placing a reassuring hand on Gamora's arm. "You could always talk to one person if you are having trouble deciding on your own," she added, recalling sitting on the steps with Drax, sharing a heart-to-heart that led her to the decision of revealing Ego's secret.

"You could always talk to one person if you are having trouble deciding on your own,"
Gamora's gaze dropped slightly at the realization that Mantis was right. As annoying as her peppy behavior could be to Gamora at times, Mantis had truly grown to be someone that truly looked out for the members of the group. Of course her powers made it easier for her to resonate with and understand Gamora, but looking up with grave filled eyes Gamora slowly nodded at Mantis's suggestion. "I will not ask this of anyone...so someone must come forth and volunteer. Just know that when you know what I know, there's no knowing what Thanos will do to you if he finds out you know before he does." Gamora warned sternly as her eyes scanned around at her fellow inmates, wondering which one of them would volunteer to put their life on the line even more than before.

Tony became increasingly unsure about this, especially when the little bug lady put into words what he was thinking. The principal reason for him to bring this up had been to cooperate with the Shield lady, but he started to wonder if that even would make any difference. It might lead to them becoming free and work with them together, yet at what cost? Tony got that this secret information, whatever it was, put pressure on her, been even himself who pushed her to share it with them only moments ago, for selfish reasons, granted, but, thinking about it, he also shared ladybug's sentiments. However, if there was one person who Tony was seeing on a par with a power-hungry alien force, coming to destroy earth, it was the Hulk. Still, in the fight of King Kong versus Godzilla, no one could say how it was going to end. No, this just didn't feel right.
"I will not ask this of anyone... so someone must come forth and volunteer. Just know that when you know what I know, there's no knowing what Thanos will do to you if he finds out you know before he does."
"Okay, change of mind." Tony suddenly said with a waving gesture of his hands. "I'm not saying you should keep it locked up forever - how long that might be, given this special situation -, yet for now that might be better. Still, we need Shield to cooperate with us, right?" As he'd been just giving away his true intentions for having brought this up, Tony quickly pressed on with the issue, making up for his unchivalrous procedure with a suggestion. "How about we feed them a line instead? Anybody here good at telling a lie?" The last question had been asked rather rhetorical - which he wasn't making a secret of -, as he knew, of the here present people, that would be most probably himself.
