"Hmm, maybe next time,""This one seems to have a bit more trunk space."
Next time then, he noted mentally and with another yet, this time, subtle smirk.
"Till we meet again, Your Excellency,"
The smirk widened for a moment, turned into a slight smile even, as he nodded his head a bit in one last farewell and as a reply to her held-up hand before his face, as soon as the car got out of view, more serious again after all.
They both didn't say so and probably wouldn't even admit it, but in the air between them, there had been some kind of sadness, maybe even a feeling of frustration, about this farewell, no matter if it was not forever, which at least he was sure about. However, Zemo shouldn't even think that, but Sophie had become quite a welcome distraction from his usual life, although there was nothing wrong with said life; Quite the contrary, with their first baby arriving soon. Still, there was, despite Helen's wonderful nature, something that would always go missing when he was with her. But then again, was it not his own fault? That he felt like he always had to hide a side of himself that had, by now, become one of the most important parts of his personality?
With a quiet sigh, Zemo turned around then, heading back towards the jet to get home himself. As soon as he was seated again and his thoughts with Helen and his unborn child, there was a smile back on his face. He was lucky to have a life like that, wasn't he?
