Carter
As soon as the girl had forced them out of the compartment, Carter knew Drew wasn't going to let this slide. The Gryffindor was too wound up from his sister's nagging and the Slytherins stealing their compartment to give up that easily.
"Chuffy gawby," Drew said, just proving that he was about to instigate a fight. "We're stayn' here!" Drew yelled as he barged back into the compartment.
Seeing the fire in the older student's eyes, Carter knew they should just leave her alone. "Wait, Drew, maybe we should ..." Unfortunately, he'd spoken up too late.
"Go away!" the girl yelled, and before Carter knew what was happening, Drew was jumping out of the way of a fist; a fist which firmly connected with his face.
Carter stumbled backward, clutching his nose as blood started to drip from it. This was exactly why he hated getting into fights; people, especially him, always managed to get hurt. "Drew, stop!" Yet again, he was too late to do any good, and he watched Drew foolishly launch himself at Kaeden.

'Where in the dickens did that lad get off to?' Gwen thought, not amused by her brother's disappearing act. Well, this was a fine start. She'd already checked several compartments for the wayward child to no avail. In return, she been thought to be the candy trolley lady, walked in on a couple of seventh years snogging and had a rowdy group of fifth year Slytherins wolf whistle her as she tried to pass them in the corridor. She had to admit, the string of good old Yorkshire insults they received was not her finest hour but it was satisfying. Suddenly something caught her eye, just off to the left. A compartment with its window shade drawn. 'If 'e's anyw'ere, that's like to be it.'
She knocked firmly on the door but didn't wait for an answer before she barged in. "Drew-" But her brother was not the one waiting on the other side of the door. Oliver Burke sat on the train bench, an unfinished game of cards before him and a wide eyed look on his face. "Oh, I'm sorry. I thought- um, have ye seen me brother Drew? Dark hair, looks a bit like me. 'Bout yea high?" She gestured with her right hand to a height about as tall as her shoulder. This was rather embarrassing.

Kaeden
The little brat moved out of the way, and Kaeden's fist connected with the other kid's nose. She ignored the blood as the brat rushed her. She stepped out of his way and tripped him.
The little brat flew into the compartment. Kaeden pulled her knife from her back pocket.
The kid was already on his feet, but Kaeden advanced towards him. Fire burning inside her. Her knife raised for his throat.
The brat's eyes were wide, and his face paled a tad. But a determind look stayed on his face.
Suddenly, Kaeden rushed him.
In the next breath, Kaeden had stopped, her blade resting against the kid's skin.
"I'm a lot more experienced with fending for my life than you are kid." Kaeden told him quietly. She then looked back at the other kid. Blood covered his face and shirt. "Do you want in the compartment too?"
Kaeden knew she was going to have to deal with whatever was the name of the idiots in charge at the school, but as of the moment she really didn't care. Kaeden wasn't about to let two little brats have their way.

Carter
Carter watched, helpless, as in no time at all the girl had Drew up against the wall with a knife at his neck. How had this turned so quickly from a simple brawl into a fight for their lives? Next time, there was no way he was letting Drew pick the compartment.
"Do you want in the compartment too?" she asked. Darn it, but no matter how much of a fool Drew was, Carter wasn't going to leave him alone to face his mistakes. However, he'd be absolutely no match for Kaeden, especially since she'd taken down Drew so easily. That is, he didn't stand a chance in a fist fight.
"Petrificus Totalus!" he yelled before she had a chance to react. Expelliarmus would have run the risk of hurting Drew. At least this way, his friend escaped unscathed.
The older student froze up instantly, eyes filled with cold furry as she glared at him, and he knew that next time he'd see her, he'd be a dead man. Honestly though, it wasn't his fault he was the only one who kept his cool enough to think of magic as a possible weapon.
"I don't let anyone kill my friends," he said with fake bravery, though he felt weak in the knees. "Drew, let's go tell a prefect what happened." He wondered if he could make it out to the hall before he collapsed because of the overwhelming emotions coursing though his body.

Oliver
The game was just starting to get interesting when the brothers heard a commotion outside involving some lecherous whistling and a slew of curses to follow it up. Oliver started to laugh and was about to make a comment of his own when a knock came at the door.
His eyes widened as the latch started to turn and he made eye contact with Jacob for a split second. This was exactly what he was afraid of, those bloody things didn't have any locks on them. Oliver made a fast choice and threw himself to the floor, rolling under the bench as his cards came to rest where he had sat moments before. Slapping his hand over his mouth he waited. It was awfully dusty down there and he quickly brought his other hand up to cover his nose.

Jake
Jake hid a smile as he came to the conclusion that he was totally about to win the game. However, his joy was short lived, because suddenly, there was a knock on the door. Oliver immediately rolled under the bench, and Jake quickly scattered the cards, to make it look like he'd been playing a one person game instead of one meant for two.
"Drew-" a girl said as she walked in. Jake realized it was Gwen, who was in the same house and same year as his brother. The two of them knew each other fairly well, having been in most of the same classes together. "Oh, I'm sorry. I thought- um, have ye seen me brother Drew? Dark hair, looks a bit like me. 'Bout yea high?" Great, she was looking for her brother, which meant he should be able to get rid of her easily.
"No, sorry Gwen," he replied, hoping she'd be satisfied enough to leave. The longer she stayed, the more likely she'd discover the real Oliver.

Drew
If he's honest with himself, which he doesn't really want to be in this case, he still isn't quite sure what happened. One instant he was charging the girl who had tired to punch him and the next he was barley keeping his feet. He'd spun around to see the girl had a knife. Who brought a knife to Hogwarts? And then she had him up against the wall with the knife pressing into his neck. "I'm a lot more experienced with fending for my life than you are kid." That is great and all, but he hadn't been trying to kill her. He'd just reacted instinctively to almost being punched. This girl is insane! "Do you want in the compartment too?" His attention is then drawn to his friend who has a bloody nose because of him. Guilt seeps into his gut. Why does he always manage to mess everything up?
"Petrificus Totalus!" Suddenly the girl is on the ground, unable to move. He breathes a sigh of relief, hand unconsciously going up to his neck. "I don't let anyone kill my friends." Drew is slightly startled at the backbone Carter has developed, but he is extremely touched. Carter risked danger for him when he had been being an idiot, and he will never forget that. "Drew, let's go tell a prefect what happened." Part of him really just wants to sit in the cabin and leave the girl lying there on the ground, but doing things his way hasn't been going that great. Besides, that would probably just get them in trouble.
"Good idea," he agrees, leaving the compartment and letting Carter lead them down the hallways this time. He knows he'll probably get in trouble, but no where near as much as that crazy girl. That knife should be confiscated. It's the only reason he lost, he tells himself. If she hadn't had the knife... oh who's he kidding. She is totally better at fighting then him. He's going to have to train a lot if he wants to be able to beat bullies like her. One good thing has come from this, he has learned a lesson. He needs to get stronger and smarter so people can't hurt him and his friends.

Kaeden
Kaeden's muscles locked up and she fell to the floor. Her knife bounced out of her hand and skittered under the seat.
THAT BRAT!! Kaeden screamed in her mind. I WILL HURT HIM. HE WILL REGRET THIS DECISION FOR THE REST OF HIS MISERABLE LIFE! Kaeden's mind filled with dark thoughts of what torture she would cause the kid and didn't hear the foot steps comin her way.
Two young girls of Hufflepuff house entered the compartment. "Oh poor girl! I can't believe the pranks have already started." "This is how the year is always going to start." The other girl said as she pulled out her wand.
In the next moment Kaeden could move again. Without bothering with a thank you, Kaeden darted out of the compartment, leaving her knife behind. She looked both way down the corridor, startling students on both sides, before darting towards the luggage car.
When she reached it, she found the most secluded and hidden spot, and curled up. Kaeden once again went over the list of ways that boy would pay for using magic on her. With the slight rocking of the train, Kaeden eventually fell asleep.

"No, sorry Gwen,"
Gwen sighed, raising the hand that still hovered to display Drew's height to the bridge of her nose in an effort to stop the impending migraine brewing just behind her eyes. "I jes' don't know where he coulda run off to." She lowered her hand to look at Oliver again. Her first good look at him since she walked in. Was there something different about him? His hair maybe? No, that didn't seem right... It did stand to reason he'd change somewhat over the summer holiday. It had been a few weeks and it wasn't like Gwen spent a good portion of time looking at him when she could...well, not that much anyway.
Should she ask him about it? It would be a weird question but maybe he had some form of logical reasoning. Her brow furrowed slightly, "Oliver, are ye alright? Ye seem diff'rent some'ow."
But before she could get an answer, a sneeze broke through the air. Gwen was about to bless him when she realized that the boy before her hadn't moved a muscle. Where had the sneeze come from? 'Drew. He was hiding in here the whole time.'
Her face flushed, she dropped to her knees before the one place a body could hide in one of these compartments. No wonder Oliver looked different- he was lying to her the whole time. She reached under the bench and grabbed hold of the soft cloth of a piece of clothing, drawing back on it to pull out the wearer. "Drew, what do ye think yer..." Her voice trailed off as the hidden person came into view. "...doing." The word fell lamely from her mouth as her mind spun wildly. Why were there two Oliver Burkes? Why was one of them hiding under a train bench? Was this some kind of charm or...dark arts?
Suddenly she jumped to her feet, swiftly backing towards the door as she pulled her wand from where it had been safely tucked away in her jacket. She brandished it towards the two Olivers, "What is going on here?"

Oliver
He knew they where talking out there but all Oliver could think about was that she needed to leave! His head was burning and his eyes were watering as he fought the sneeze off as long as he could.
"Oliver, are ye alright? Ye seem diff'rent some'ow."
Despite his best efforts out came that nasally blast that blew down his web of lies like the big bad wolf. "Drew, what do ye think yer..." he heard as he saw a pair of knee's touch the ground in front of him. They were followed quickly by a determined hand gripping his shirt and pulling him out into the light of day. "...doing." Oliver lay there helplessly looking up into the angry turned dumbstruck face of his classmate Gwen Brigham. "Hiya Gwen." He said as he put on a weak smile. Just as suddenly she jumped to her feet, backing towards the door pulling her wand from where it tucked away. "What is going on here?"
Dragging himself to a crouched position he was on his knee's before her now, fitting as he was planning on doing some serious begging. "Listen Gwen, I can explain-we can!" he added nodding to his brother Jacob. With a sigh his shoulders slumped. "Please hear us out?"

"Listen Gwen, I can explain-we can!" "Please hear us out?"
The pleading in Oliver #2's voice was not lost on her. She didn't lower the wand but she made no move to use it either. Instead it stayed between them, a warning. Her eyes darted between Oliver #1 and Oliver #2, wondering if either of them were actually the real Oliver Burke. One way to find out.
"Alright, I'll hear ye out. But ye best speak canty and keep yersel' over there with yer hands far from yer pockets."
Though she was a talent duelist, she didn't fancy the odds of two on one. Not when there were so many unknown factors. Her body naturally fell into a defensive position from the more offensive stance it had originally taken.
"Speak yer piece."

Jake
"Oliver, are ye alright? Ye seem diff'rent some'ow." In all of the six years he'd slipped unnoticed into Hogwarts, this was the first time someone had noticed he wasn't Oliver. Either that, or she was picking up on his nervousness. Before he could respond, a loud sneeze resonated through the compartment. He hadn't had enough time to fake that the sneeze was his own, so she instantly knew something was amiss.
She called Oliver 'Drew' as she dragged him out from under the bench, but she quickly realized her mistake. "What is going on here?" she interrogated as she pulled out her wand, threatening the both of them with it. So, this was the year that he got ripped away from his brother. After years, the gig was finally up, and Jake would be going to a muggle boarding school. He couldn't even fight it; his sword was in Hogwarts and even if he had it, he wouldn't want to hurt Gwen.
Oliver, however, wasn't going to give up so easily. He begged Gwen, literally on his hands and knees, for her to hear them out. As if that would help, Jake thought, unable to be optimistic knowing this was the last time he'd see his brother for a long time.
"Alright, I'll hear ye out. But ye best speak canty and keep yersel' over there with yer hands far from yer pockets." Jake complied, instantly putting his hands in the air as if he was being arrested, which he was, in a way. "Speak yer piece."
Jake decided to get right to the point. "I'm Oliver's squib twin who sneaks into Hogwarts to be with him. Look, if you're going to tell on us, say that Oliver didn't know; that I was sneaking in without his help." Oliver was going to kill him for saying that, but he wasn't going to get his brother expelled for him. Sneaking someone into Hogwarts was a serious offence, as it threatened the safety of the students, and Oliver would certainly be in more trouble than him. The only hope Jake had was that Gwen would be lenient enough to protect his brother; even if he was going to be sent away.

"I'm Oliver's squib twin who sneaks into Hogwarts to be with him."
Of all the excuses Gwen thought she'd hear, this one was so ridiculous that it seemed to her that it almost had to be true. Anyone making up a story like that to try to cover something else up would be a real gawby.
"Look, if you're going to tell on us, say that Oliver didn't know; that I was sneaking in without his help."
But more than her own intuition, Oliver- for she was certain that the boy hiding under the bench was honestly Oliver Burke- was now giving her such a look of desperation and his brother had such an air of defeat that she just knew they weren't lying. Silently, she lowered her wand and walked towards them. "Ye've been sneaking in for all these years and no one's found out til now? However did ye manage it?"

Oliver
"Alright, I'll hear ye out. But ye best speak canty and keep yersel' over there with yer hands far from yer pockets."
It had worked! She had at least given him a chance, and for that he was grateful. Oliver quickly got to his feet but kept his hands where she could see them. His brow furrowed as he searched for the right words when suddenly Jacob spewed out practically their life story! His jaw dropped to the floor as he turned and gawked at his brother.
Everything had happened so fast he didn't know what to say now. He barely had the set of mind to close his mouth and turn his attention back to Gwen as she spoke again, "Ye've been sneaking in for all these years and no one's found out til now? However did ye manage it?" He said the only thing he could think of. "It's true, there are places in Hogwarts for those that need them... The hardest part was always getting there, like this right now. Please Gwen." He shot a frustrated look at Jacob for being so forward but in the back of his mind, it was kind of a relief. He had always respected Gwen and if someone was going to know, for some reason, he felt better that it was her. At that he took a step closer to the girl before him, the plea obvious in his eyes. His posture non-threatening. "If anyone found out now, they would take him away. Our parent's never did support my brother. Never did support us."

"It's true, there are places in Hogwarts for those that need them... The hardest part was always getting there, like this right now. Please Gwen."
If anyone found out that she knew and didn't say anything, there would be dire consequences. The least of them being expulsion. Her whole life could be ruined trying to keep the Burke twins' secret. If she turned them in, there would be nothing to worry about. There might even be some house points in it for her.
Yet turning them in seemed unthinkable.
"If anyone found out now, they would take him away. Our parent's never did support my brother. Never did support us."
Gwen couldn't imagine life without her parents to support her. The Brighams always stood behind their children no matter what they decided or who they were at any given moment. How would life be different if she didn't have that? If they didn't support Drew and his marlocks and antics. She knew that she would go just as far as the Burke boys. How could she turn them in for that?
"I know wha'it's like, having a brother tha means the world to ye. Yer secret is safe with me," she said, tucking her wand back inside of her jacket. "Sorry about the wand, ye capt me is all."
Suddenly she turned to Oliver's twin, "I'm so addled, I jus realized I don't even know yer name! S'pose it's not too late for formal introductions though. Gwen Brigham." She held out her hand, like her parents had always taught her to when meeting new people. It was a little silly, introducing herself when it was obvious that Oliver's twin already knew her name, but for some reason it felt important to do so.

Jake
"Ye've been sneaking in for all these years and no one's found out til now? However did ye manage it?" Gwen was curious, being a Ravenclaw, but as soon as her thirst for knowledge was filled, she'd run off to tell a prefect, Jake knew. What was the point in trying to explain things to her?
Oliver was the one who spoke up. "It's true, there are places in Hogwarts for those that need them... The hardest part was always getting there, like this right now. Please Gwen." Then, Oliver shot him a glare. Clearly he was upset with Jake for telling her the truth, but what else was he supposed to say? The gig was up, and no lie would stop her from telling the teachers. Why did anything he say matter now?
"If anyone found out now, they would take him away. Our parent's never did support my brother. Never did support us." And Oliver had just been mad at him for telling too much, the irony. Jake forced himself not to tear up as his brother included himself in Jake's plight. Really, though, their parents did support Oliver, in everything but his relationship with Jake. Jacob understood that; they wanted Oliver to be the best wizard he could be, and Jake was a hindrance to that. Now, just because of his selfishness, Oliver was going to get expelled. He'd never be able to live with himself for this.
"I know wha'it's like, having a brother tha means the world to ye. Yer secret is safe with me." He had no idea what Gwen said after that as she pocketed her wand. She wasn't going to turn them in? Relief flooded through him and made him giddy as he realized he'd been overreacting; he and his brother were safe.
Suddenly, Gwen turned to face him. "I'm so addled, I jus realized I don't even know yer name! S'pose it's not too late for formal introductions though. Gwen Brigham." He chuckled at the oddity of introducing himself to someone he'd interacted with several times before.
"Jacob Burke, but you can call me Jake," he informed her as he shook her hand. That's when the thought struck him; this was the first time he'd meet someone as Jacob ever since he'd been declared a squib. It felt glorious to finally be able to be himself around someone other than Oliver.

"Jacob Burke, but you can call me Jake,"
"It's nice to actually meet ye, Jake. Though I s'pect I've met ye before without knowing it was ye." Gwen grinned at him, the humor evident in her voice. Then she glanced back at the compartment door. She really ought to be seeing to where Drew was. Though part of her wondered why. Drew obviously hadn't wanted to spend time with her, else he wouldn't have run off like that. And when Drew didn't want to be found, it made looking for him positively a nightmare. The thought of trying to track him down on a train this big did not sound appealing in the least and she so wanted to know more about Oliver and Jake and the situation they found themselves in...
"Ye know, me brother is probably long gone by now. Not sure if I'd even find him 'fore we reach the station. D'ya mind if I join ye?"

Carter
Somehow, Carter ended up leading the way to the prefect's cabin, despite the fact that his entire body wanted to collapse. The adrenaline that had helped him save Drew was now gone, leaving him weak without it. Of course, Drew probably felt even worse than he did, which is how Carter ended up leading.
Soon, Carter found a prefect, or more like the prefect found him. The blood flowing from his nose clearly indicated to the Slytherin prefect that he needed help. "What happened?" the older boy asked, but he didn't even wait for an answer as he whipped out his wand. "Here, hold still." He muttered some spell that Carter didn't know yet, and suddenly his nose stopped hurting. "Now, what happened?"
Carter sighed, realizing he was going to have to explain as Drew was too busy looking at his feet to pitch in. "Well, all the compartments were full, but Drew and I found one that only had one person in it. She didn't want us to stay, but Drew insisted, so she tried to punch him. He moved out of the way, and tackled her." Carter paused then, not really wanting to discuss how she'd threatened to kill his friend. He didn't want to get her, and thus himself, in too much trouble, but he didn't really have a choice. Attempting to murder someone was a big deal, and he didn't want her to hurt someone else all because he'd failed to tell the truth about how serious the situation was. “She pulled a knife on Drew, but before she could kill him I froze her. She’s back that way,” he said, pointing in the direction they’d just come from.

Drew
Carter manages to find a prefect quickly and the older boy fixes his nose up. Carter then proceeds to explain everything that happened while tries hard to fight off the guilt. Everything that happened was his fault. He had started a fight like an idiot. He is not looking forward to facing Gwen. She's going to be furious. "She pulled a knife?" the prefect asks, sounding stunned. And why wouldn't he be? Only crazy people bring knifes to Hogwarts.
"We can show ye where she is," Drew finally decides to pitch in. "I'm sure the knife's still there."
"Unless someone unfroze her," the prefect says. "We need to get going before that happens." Drew nods in agreement, taking the lead back towards the compartment. He knows his well deserved punishment will be administered later. He feels like an utter moron. Why couldn't he have just held his temper? He'd gotten his friend hurt, and that was completely unacceptable. He'll make sure it doesn't happen in the future.
He gets to the compartment and freezes as he stares at the two girls standing there. The murderous one is nowhere to be seen. Worry strikes as he turns to stare down the hallway, suddenly afraid she might jump out from around the corner. "Have you seen a girl frozen in here?" the prefect questions.
"Yeah, and we saved her," one of the kids replies.
"But she ran off without even thanking us," the other chips in.
"We tried to tell her she left her knife, but she wouldn't listen." Great. These girls are total gauvies*. He just hopes they find the girl soon. Preferably before she tries to kill someone else.

Oliver
"It's nice to actually meet ye, Jake. Though I s'pect I've met ye before without knowing it was ye." Gwen grinned at his brother before glancing back at the compartment door. Oliver thought she was going to leave, sure that she had enough madness for one day. Then his classmate surprised him again. "Ye know, me brother is probably long gone by now. Not sure if I'd even find him 'fore we reach the station. D'ya mind if I join ye?"
At this point his nerves started playing tricks with him again, he wanted to respond but when he made eye contact with her he felt instantly weak in the stomach. "No! Yes- err... gawd blimey, no we wouldn't mind at all..." He finished with a forced chuckle. He really just wished he would belt up, but that seemed beyond him. "I'm sure he's settled in with a few of his mates, knowing your brother." Oliver scooped up his cards and tossed them back in his bag, returning that to the rack above. He budged up to make room for Gwen to have a seat. "If he hasn't turned up by the time the trolley comes around, perhaps one of us could help ye out." Ye? He cringed the second he had said it. He was really making a fool of himself. To make himself feel better, he blamed it on the fact that this was a first for the both of them.

Jake
"It's nice to actually meet ye, Jake. Though I s'pect I've met ye before without knowing it was ye." Jake grinned, glad he wouldn't have to inform her of all the times he'd pretended to be Oliver around her. She glanced at the door, and the smile quickly slipped from his face. She was lying; she was about to go tell on them. She'd just been ... She interrupted his thoughts by speaking.
"Ye know, me brother is probably long gone by now. Not sure if I'd even find him 'fore we reach the station. D'ya mind if I join ye?" Man, he really needed to stop jumping to conclusions. Gwen was a friend, he could trust her. He could now trust someone besides Oliver, he needed to remember that.
"No! Yes- err... gawd blimey, no we wouldn't mind at all..." Jake smirked as his brother floundered at talking to his classmate. Could Oliver have a crush on her? Perhaps, it wouldn't surprise him. Of course, he could just be unsure how to respond; after all, they'd never had to deal with someone discovering his existence before.
Oliver reassured Gwen that her brother would be fine as he cleaned up the cards and made room for Gwen to sit down beside him. "If he hasn't turned up by the time the trolley comes around, perhaps one of us could help ye out." Ye, really? Man, Oliver was having trouble speaking today.
"Don't worry Gwen, Oliver can usually speak around me. He just gets tongue tied when he gets inturupted in the middle of a game of cards," Jake joked, grinning at his twin. One of Jake's favorite hobbies was teasing his brother, and that was going to be even easier now that he could do it around one of Oliver's friends.

Carter "She pulled a knife?" the prefect asked, sounding stunned. Carter didn't feel like elaborating, but luckily Drew found his voice then.
"We can show ye where she is," "I'm sure the knife's still there."
"Unless someone unfroze her," the prefect said. "We need to get going before that happens." Drew lead the way this time, letting Carter simply follow behind. All he wanted to do was sleep; having been exhausted by the emotional strain of the fight.
However, as soon as they reached the compartment, Carter was wide awake. The girl was nowhere to be seen; instead two Hufflepuff girls were chatting there. Fear instantly slammed into him, and he looked around frantically, waiting for her to attack. After the furry he'd seen in her eyes, he expected her to hunt him down and murder him, probably slowly.
Then, one of the girls says that they 'saved her,' and Carter can't believe his ears. Didn't they stop to think that maybe, just maybe, she'd been frozen for a reason? Why did Hufflepuffs never use their brains? Their idiocy was going to get him killed. Then, they said she didn't have her knife, and while that should reassure him, it didn't. Just because she was missing her knife didn't mean that she didn't have a wand.
"Give me the knife, and next time, tell a prefect. Don't free someone without knowing why they were attacked in the first place," the prefect lectured, somehow managing to keep calm despite the look on his face that said he thought they'd been idiots, too.
"Why, what happened?"
"Doesn't matter, just give me the knife and go find your friends." The girls complied, and then the prefect adressed Drew and Carter. "Don't worry, I'll find her." Even as he spoke, he was examining the knife, and a smile played across his lips. Carter got the impression that he was going to enjoy hunting the girl, which made him shudder slightly. "I'll find little miss Arizonia," he muttered, before glancing back up at the boys. "Where would you feel the safest while I search for her?"
"With Justin," Carter exclaimed before he could stop himself. Family always calmed him down, and even if Justin would be slightly annoyed his little brother wanted to spend time with him on the train, Carter couldn't help but want to be near him. "He's in Gryffindor, a seventh year."
"Alright, I'll help you find him, and then I'll go find Arizonia."

Drew
He follows the other two down the corridor as they make their way to Carter’s brother. “Seriously?” Justin asks when they open the compartment door. “I’m the troublemaking type, not him.” He stares at the floor as the prefect explains. The older Gryffindors will probably be mad at him since house points will almost certainly be taken away for his actions. He can’t bear them heaping guilt on him since he’s already feeling so much. “They did what now? Awesome!” Justin says, slapping his brother so hard on the back that he winces. “Right,” the prefect says, looking unimpressed. “Well, I have someone to find.” And then he is gone. Drew can only stand staring at the older Gryffindor in shock. He isn’t mad? “You two were really brave,” he praises, smiling at them. “I would have down the same thing,” he assures Drew with a friendly wink. “Say, we were about to have some candy,” he says, gesturing to a large pile in the middle of the compartment. “Want some?” Suddenly Drew discovers that he has an overwhelming need for chocolate. “That’d be great, thank ye,” he says, grabbing a chocolate frog. He’s relieved that the older kid isn’t mad. Everything seems to be looking up a little. Hopefully the rest of the train wide will go peacefully. The train ride has been so bad thus far that he feels the universe owes him that.

Tharin
Tharin scanned the halls, he was sure something would go wrong soon. Something always happened on the train. Tharin stepped into the next car and there the problem was. Carter Evans, a third year Ravenclaw had blood covering his face and shirt. Drew Brigham followed behind him.
"What happened?" Tharin asked as he pulled out his wand, "Here, hold still." Tharin fixed the boy's nose. "Now, what happened?" The Brigham boy just stared at his feet, but the Evans kid spoke up, " Well, all the compartments were full, but Drew and I found one that only had one person in it. She didn't want us to stay, but Drew insisted, so she tried to punch him. He moved out of the way, and tackled her." The kid paused then. It must have been an older girl having a very bad day. Little boys will never understand women, heck, Tharin wouldn't even say he did.
“She pulled a knife on Drew, but before she could kill him I froze her. She’s back that way.”
"She pulled a knife?" Oh gosh. The train ride just hit it's craziest. Who brings a knife to Hogwarts?!?!
"We can show ye where she is," The Brigham boy pitched in, "I'm sure the knife's still there."
"Unless someone unfroze her," the prefect says. "We need to get going before that happens." Who in the world was in that compartment?? These boys may have just ruined their whole school year if the rumors had been right.
The boys led Tharin back down the way they had come. When they reached the compartment, two air headed hufflepuff girls sat gossiping. This wasn't good.
"Have you seen a girl frozen in here?" Tharin asked, already dreading the answer he knew was coming.
"Yeah, and we saved her," one of the girls replied.
"But she ran off without even thanking us," the other chipped in.
"We tried to tell her she left her knife, but she wouldn't listen."
Tharin really hated Hufflepuffs. Always trying to do good even if they didn't know what good even was. "Give me the knife, and next time, tell a prefect. Don't free someone without knowing why they were attacked in the first place." Tharin was glad he had a lifetime of pretending to be calm.
"Why, what happened?" they asked.
"Doesn't matter, just give me the knife and go find your friends." Thankfully the girls complied. Tharin turned back to the two boys. "Don't worry, I'll find her." Even as he spoke, he was examining the knife, and a smile played across his lips. Carved into the wooden handle was the name of an American state, Arizona. Tharin hadn't gotten to go hunting over the summer, but he was going to greatly enjoy hunting this girl. "I'll find little miss Arizona," he muttered, before glancing back up at the boys, quickly hiding the darker joy he knew would be shining in his eys. "Where would you feel the safest while I search for her?"
"With Justin," The Evans boy blurted out. He immediately looked embarressed, but continued, "He's in Gryffindor, a seventh year."
"Alright, I'll help you find him, and then I'll go find Arizona." It's a good thing Tharin had already passed Justin's compartment, otherwise he'd have to waste time trying to find him before begining his hunt.
As he led the boys back towards Justin's compartment, he consistintly thought of where she might have been. She could have gone to the lavatory to hide, or she could be hiding in plain sight in any of the compartments he was passing right now.
Thankfully it didn't take too long to reach Justin. He opened the door and ushered in Carter and Drew. "Seriously?” Justin asks. “I’m the troublemaking type, not him.” Tharin quickly explained the situation. “They did what now? Awesome!” Justin exclaimed.
"Right." Why couldn't people actually understand bad situations? Idiots. “Well, I have someone to find.” Tharin quickly went back down the corridor, checking every compartment.
"I'm gonna find you Arizona." He muttered under his breath with a grin forming on his face.

Oliver
"Don't worry Gwen, Oliver can usually speak around me. He just gets tongue tied when he gets inturupted in the middle of a game of cards," Jacob jabbed, grinning at him from across the way. "Oh, what are you going on about?" Oliver shot back with a smirk and a jab of his own, from his fist. A halfhearted attempt, the blow missed by a long shot as Jacob only had to shift aside. "You haven't got your sword on you, lucky I don't turn you into a rat! Mad-eye would love to get his teeth on you." He finished as his Puffskein turned its attention on them from it's perch looking out the window.
Oliver cleared his throat, halting his barrage as he didn't want to exclude the latest addition to their little secret society. "So Gwen, how did you do on your O.W.L.s. last year?" He was curious what subjects they may be sharing this term depending on how they both matched up.

Tharin
Arizona had to be somewhere! Tharin had almost searched the whole train by now, and they were almost to the station. Tharin even had an incident with scaring some first years in the girls' lavatory. This was the second to last car, and Tharin scratched his head furiously. When he found this girl she would regret ever hiding from him.
Tharin stepped up to the first door and gave two sharp knocks. He heard students scrambling inside. He gave them a second. Tharin didn't want to walk in on any more students snogging.
Then he opened the door.

"No! Yes- err... gawd blimey, no we wouldn't mind at all..." "I'm sure he's settled in with a few of his mates, knowing your brother." "If he hasn't turned up by the time the trolley comes around, perhaps one of us could help ye out."
"I'd be much appreciating that. Tho', knowing Drew, he's like off getting into some sort o' trouble this very minute. It jes' sort of finds 'im." It was a rather troubling thought but also completely true. Gwen wondered if she should excuse herself to at least attempt to find Drew but immediately dismissed the idea. 'Ye stay right where yer at. Drew made it right clear that he wants ye to leave him be. He can take care of himself."
"Don't worry Gwen, Oliver can usually speak around me. He just gets tongue tied when he gets inturupted in the middle of a game of cards," "Oh, what are you going on about?" "You haven't got your sword on you, lucky I don't turn you into a rat! Mad-eye would love to get his teeth on you."
As the boys poked fun at each other's expense, Gwen couldn't help but laugh at the good-natured ribbing. How she wished that she and Drew could be like that. Seemed like lately all their interaction dripped of annoyance and nagging. In all honestly, despite having spent a whole summer under the same small roof, Gwen felt like she hadn't really seen her brother at all. She missed him.
The sound of a throat clearing brought Gwen back to the present and Oliver's expectant face.
"So Gwen, how did you do on your O.W.L.s. last year?"
She opened her mouth to answer but two solid knocks rapped against the door. Gwen's face paled as her eyes met the twins'. Suddenly she was doing the only thing she could think of. Her wand almost seemed to appear in her hand with the speed she'd pulled it out and a half second later, it was making contact with Jake's head through a gentle tap as Gwen said the incantation under her breath, "Disillusio."
Jake began to disappear before their eyes. Well, not really. More like blend in with his surroundings. They would still need to be careful. Gwen pushed the boy into the corner of the train bench by the window, taking care to sit closely enough to him that whoever entering the compartment would not be tempted to sit there themselves. Not a moment too soon either, as the door swung wide open.

Jake
"Oh, what are you going on about?" "You haven't got your sword on you, lucky I don't turn you into a rat! Mad-eye would love to get his teeth on you." Jake grinned, about to retort that Mad-eye would never eat him; his brother’s pet loved him. Before he could, however, Oliver continued, actually remembering to bring Gwen into the conversation. "So Gwen, how did you do on your O.W.L.s. last year?"
Really? The best topic Oliver could think of to bring Gwen into the discussion was talking about O.W.L.s? Well, he supposed that when you were conversing with two Ravenclaws, standardized tests were a captivating topic, even if they bored him to death. In that regard, he was almost lucky he didn’t have an ounce of magic.
Suddenly, there was a knock on the door. Jake froze for a second, and was about to follow his brother’s example of diving under the bench, when Gwen’s wand gently touched his head. She whispered “Disillusio.” He shuddered slightly as the spell traveled from his head down to the rest of his body. He felt like a giant egg had been cracked on his head, and was now covering his entire body in the sticky substance. It was fascinating, really. Oliver had never cast this spell on him; somehow they’d managed to avoid needing it during their stay at Hogwarts, and he felt the normal jolt of excitement of experiencing a new spell.
However, he didn’t have long to enjoy the moment, as suddenly, Gwen had shoved him into the corner of the compartment, and she was now sitting a hair’s breath away from him. Jake tensed, trying not to move so he wouldn’t startle her or make it apparent to the intruder that someone was sitting next to Gwen. Hopefully, whoever it was would leave soon.

Tharin
Tharin slid open the compartment door and recoiled in surprise. Burke and Brigham? Who would have guessed. Their faces were slightly flushed, and their eyes were wide. Even though they sat on opposite sides of the compartment, Tharin knew what had been going on. He cleared his throat.
"Well, isn't this interesting. I expect you two to keep the train clean." He knew they would understand him; they were smart like that. Now on to the matter at hand. "Is anyone hiding in here?"
Tharin stared down Gwen, waiting for her answer. He knew that of the two of them, Gwen Brigham would be the first to spill.

Oh lovely. It was that chuffy Slytherin prefect, Tharin Drake. Gwen had no idea what would even bring the him to their compartment- it wasn't as they were making a lot of noise or being disruptive. Surprise was registering on his face, so it didn't seem he had been expecting them. What had brought him here other than the extreme case of bad luck that Oliver and Jake were suffering from this trip?
"Well, isn't this interesting. I expect you two to keep the train clean."
His voice oozed with innuendo as he glanced between them. So, Tharin thought they fancied each other, did he? From her place across from him, Gwen subtly caught Oliver's eye and tried to send him a message in that brief look- 'Go along with it. This is our way out.'
"Is anyone hiding in here?"
'WHAT? How in bloody hell did he know?' Gwen was glad for the composure she managed to keep despite her shock of the question. But Tharin had been gloppened to find them in there...he had no idea. This must be about something else completely. Tharin was staring her down, probably thinking that she'd be the weakest link. The knowledge just made Gwen more determined to keep their secret.
"Jes' the two of us, Tharin. Lest someone was here 'fore the train left King's Cross." She tried to look somewhat sheepish, "As ye guessed, we weren't looking for any riding companions."
gloppened - surprised
