Emma and Neal's Past Adventures
Flashbacks of Emma and Neal's time together.
Since I don't have the time nor mind to figure out The nursery rhymes that helped us out in making sense of our lives The cruel uneventful state of apathy releases me I value them but I won't cry every time one's wiped out
Emma parked the yellow Volkswagon in one of the visitor parking spaces behind the overpriced hotel and stepped out. She zipped up her jacket and followed Neal towards the hotel. The recent snowfall had been light, thankfully, and the cold Denver winter air fogged up as she breathed.
If Neal's latest idea worked, they would have enough money to last for months, but it was somewhat riskier than usual. According to a newspaper article, several wealthy businessmen were meeting here for a conference at noon... which meant their rooms would be unattended during the meeting. This historic old hotel had not yet switched to card locks and the keyholes of the rooms could still be picked.
Emma looked at Neal as they approached the lobby, "You ready?"

"You ready?" He gives Emma a grin as they walk closer to the fancy hotel. Is he ready? Of course he's ready.
"Yeah, come on," he says. "This should be a piece of cake." A bunch of rich guys in meetings leaving their rooms completely unguarded... If this was any easier Neal wouldn't consider doing it because then they would have to be stealing candy from babies. He gives Emma a reassuring grin as he opens the door to the hotel, walking in like he owns the place. Some people look up but they buy his confident walk and don't question them as they head toward a side hallway.
