This episode gets a 4 star rating from me. I wasn't sure to give it 4 or 5 stars, as one scene in it even brought tears into my eyes. But with a look at the Pilot I decided for 4 stars, though it's more like 4.5

German's episode title here is changed a little. It's "Die Höhle", which means "The cavern". I do like the original title more. But when you translate it word by word, it's first of all very long.
Sun became on of my favourite characters during this episode. I don't see her as the poor housewife anymore, who doesn't have the strength to give backtalk to his husband. She is actually pretty strong. Her shyness and her dreaminess even remind me of myself sometimes, so I feel very close to her.
I can sense her feelings, when she looks around the others, wanting to be a part of them. But as she decided to stay at Jin's side, she is doing what he wants her to do. Her inner conflict is making me sad about her situation. She still loves Jin, above all remembering the good times in the past, but didn't have the heart to leave. On the other side she wants to be free like everyone else.
Oh yah, the tears in my eyes scene was the one, when she was going to leave him at 11:15, but then saw the flower in his hands, asking him before their trip, if he remembers the time, when he gift her just a flower. It was so emotional to see her inner conflict and how she came back to him, though I thought something like: "No, don't do it." The music in it was great too!
In the first flashback scene of Sun and Jin I actually started to see a spark of sympathy for Jin, but he destroyed it with the scene, in which he attacked Michael for no reason (Well, we thought at that point it was for no reason, though the reason was kinda stupid! I mean, he almost killed him!).
Funny little fact, that Hurley always titles them as the "chinese", though they are korean.
I felt a bit sad to see that Michael's and Walt's relation isn't actually that close. But I lked the fact, that Michael DID know Walt's birthday. It shows that he maybe doesn't really know his son well, as he didn't live with him, but CARE for him. I mean, that his son is important for him.
I liked how Sun was giving Jin a slap across the face in a later flashback scene, when he came home with blood on his hands. This is showing another time, that she doesn't gove Jin backtalk because of fear of him, but because of fear to loose him, to loose the man, she once fell in love with.
I even think that Jin is loving her still, but really can't show that or better say has another comprehension of love. Seeing her as his property, sure about she won't leave ever, as he gives presents and so on to her.
The ass-talk from Kate and Jack was hilarious!

I loved the conversation between Charlie and Locke. When Charlie wanted to disappear to take his drugs, Locke stopped him with mentioning knowing him from the band. It was nice to see how Charlie totally forgot about his drugs, turned around and was happy like a child that finally someone really appreaciated his music. I was sure that Locke wanted him to distract him that way, but seriously meant what he said about the music.
Charlie's expression was so emotional, when he got back his guitar! He was nearly crying how it looks.

When they sat on the fire in the end of the episode, we saw Sawyer thoughtfully, almost melancholiac, for the first time I think. I wante to know his backstory so badly in that moment! I bet he didn't have an easy life before either. Maybe he once was a thief? Because it was mentioned several times, like in the plane with Jack, searching for cigarettes and so on.

My favourite quotes:
Sawyer: Well, well, well, if ain't the belle of the ball? So what's it like having both the doctor and Captain Falafel fighting over you?
Charlie: You following me?
Locke: Yes.
(Usually persons are denying such a question lol)
Charlie: If you two are done verbally copulating, we should get a move on.
Kate: Are you checking me out?
Jack: What?
Kate: There's no harm in it.
Jack: Trust me, if I was checking you out, you'd know it.
(That whole little conversation was so funny! xD)
