And this is the episode that had me seriously questioning Locke's sanity! Up until now, I thought he was all wise and philosophical but he really stepped over a line in this one. Sure, the end results were as expected and in the long run, the awakening Boone needed but there are other ways to go about it. Still though, it made for some really fun and suspenseful moments and how fun would Locke have been if he was all straight-lined perfect? His obsessive fixation on the island has started to overrule good judgement. I think he feels so at home there and that since he "looked into the eye of he island" thinks he's somehow the island prophet and entitled to enlighten people in barbaric ways. Boone was so angry, ready to kill him but then when he realizes his sister didn't die, that it was all some hallucination that helped him finally see her with his mind rather than his heart and come to the realization that he'd felt relieved when he'd thought she'd died, he seemed to have become a dedicated follower. Did you see the way his face changes? The way he seemed to have suddenly developed this devotion toward Locke and automatically followed him when he beckoned? Creepy! Speaking of that incident, I totally thought Shannon was a goner. That was the second time the writers made us think a character died! Well, technically Charlie did die and was brought back. It's so ironic how Charlie and Jack were talking about Locke and charlie was saying he'd put his absolute faith in Locke to save them all. They have idea what Locke had just done to Boone. It's scary how you think you would have this total faith in someone and/or look up to them when they'd just done something that could have left the person dead. What if the monster really had come along? Locke would have just added more lies. He's already lied to Sayid and Jack, saying he didn't know where Boone was to Jack and that Boone gave him the day off to go hunting on his own to Sayid. Locke is definitely getting sketchy. Oh my gosh, I loved the Hurley/Jin scenes! I was laughing so hard! So hilarious when Jin was trying to help him out of the water only to fall face down into the waves, lol! It was great to see Jin loosen up and as always, Hurley always cheers up whatever scene he's in. The whole compass thing is really strange. Why is the compass so off? Sayid said a slight difference is understandable due to magnetic interference but that this is way more off than makes sense. Is it some type of magnetic interference? Are they even further off course than they realize and so are mistaken about exactly which way is north? It can't be the compass because compasses can't be broken or faulty, right? I really enjoyed the Jack/Kate scenes! Ilona, you and the other Skaters can go pout in the corner. This ep was totally for the Jaters! It was good to see them trying to mend their friendship after the rocky situation it had gone through in the previous episode. Favorite quotes/scenes:Boone after threatening Sayid to stay away from his sister: Boone: See you later. Sayid: (smirking) You know where to find me. Hurley: When I turned him down, it's like I soiled his family honor or something. The whole Hurley and Jin fishing scene Hurley: You sure you don't speak English? Cuz there's a rumor that you do. (pause, decides to test that theory) Your wife's hot. Jack: What do you think his story is? Charlie: Who, Locke? The guy's a freak of nature. Highly disturbed. Chances are he probably killed all his mates at the post office the day his mum forgot to put a cookie in his lunch tin.

This episode gets a 4 star rating from me, though it started a little lame in my opinion. But somewhere in the half it really got me. German title hasn't been changed here btw. I agree, that Locke somehow stepped over a line, maybe the line of his sanity. He becomes creepy more and more in the way he is acting. Though I would lie, if I said, it would make me like him less lol. But well, you do know me good enough to know what I mean. Yah, I also thought Boone was pretty like a dedicated follower of Locke after he found out everything was kind of a dream or illusion. But I just can't like Boone and Shannon, though Boone is better than Shannon. And after this episode I really started to hate Shannon. What a bitch... Hah, but I knew Boone has feelings for her right from the start, though I thought it was very strange, if they were REAL siblings. But when in a flashback was mentioned, that they aren't, I was like: "Yep! He really loves her!" Sooo funny to see Sawyer in Boone's flashback scene, being led away by some police officers!! Just hilarious! I hope someday there will be a Sawyer flashback scene, in which we learn about the reasons! Haha and also funny, that this happened in the background right after Boone said, that Shannon always fall in with the wrong guys. Even if Sawyer of course has nothing to do with Shannon, but still funny fact. Haha loved the Hurley/Jin scene! "Pee on it! Do it!" xD Woah, I really thought they would have killed off Shannon. At first I was like "Nah, as if..." and then "Hey, what? Really?" And Locke really became such a manipulative person. Oh Heidi, I'm sure there will be some more Skate scenes, so better watch out Maybe this one is a point for you little Jate group! Chrchr...
