Summary: Rousseau arrives at the camp with the warning that the Others are coming, meaning that everyone is in danger. To protect the group, Rousseau leads Jack and a team of survivors to the Black Rock, where there is dynamite. Jack hopes that with it they can blow open the Hatch, and hide inside until the threat passes. Back at the camp, the survivors prepare the raft for launching. (tv.com)

Huge 5 stars from me!  So good.  God, I love this show!!  I got teary-eyed several times at so many touching moments.

Danielle is back!  I love when characters pop back up.  People you thought might have been done and put aside but then you see them back again and realize they're more important than you may have thought.  How did she know they'd be coming?  It makes sense that she would know that black smoke means they're on their way since she saw it before they showed up and took her baby daughter, Alex, but she knew before the black smoke was going.  She's very hush-hush about how she knows things.  It's obvious she has trust issues and how could you blame her?  I was totally right about Alex being a girl.  I figured it out the first time I watched it when she first mentioned Alex in the ep 1x09 Solitary.  She kept referring to Alex as "my child" which is unusual.  People always say "my son" or "my daughter" but she was going out of her way to refer to Alex in a way that did not give away gender.

I am SO glad that Sawyer finally told Jack about his dad!  That was the first teary-eyed scene for me and a really redeeming moment for Sawyer.  Jack finally got to hear what he always wanted to but it had to come from someone else.  The way he let out a breath as his shoulders relaxed at the end of it looked like a weight was physically lifted off his shoulders.

All the flashbacks were great.  It was neat to see someone else from the plane talking to Jack though unfortunately, her seat was at the back of the plane.  We got to see the rough relationship between Walt and Michael at the hotel, reminding us how far they've come.  Ed Mars, the marshal escorting Kate, is such an ass!  He is so cruel.  Yah, I get it.  She's a fugitive and apparently has done something bad but all in all, she does not seem like a bad person.  Why is he so cruel and taunting toward her?  Either he's just the kind of mean person who gets off on treating people like that, so this job is perfect for him, or he's really taken something she's done personally.

Shannon also showed how far she's come.  At the airport, she was absolutely horrible.  I can't believe what she did to Sayid.  Of course, I don't think they remember each other from that incident as they barely even looked at each other.  It was really dumb of him to leave his bags and ask a stranger to watch them but completely uncalled for for Shannon to report it as if he'd done so in a sinister manner just to prove some point to Boone.

The woman sitting at the table behind Jin and Sun was a stuck up bitch, sitting there, all judging them and assuming neither spoke English.  It did seem like that comment triggered the idea in Sun to not reveal to anybody that she spoke English.  Look at how freely people spoke when they thought you didn't understand them.

The whole hike to the Dark Territory to find the Black Rock was funny and intense.  We got to hear the monster again and got a little bit more info on it.  Danielle called it a "security system" protecting the island.  Is it really some kind of security system or just some crazy talk from a supposedly crazy lady?  It's definitely an interesting thought either way.  But who created this security system and how?  It seems like a living thing.  I think she means it's a security system metaphorically as in some creature who is protecting it's home and not literally as in something built by someone who wants to keep the island protected.

Holy crap, we finally got to see what this Black Rock mentioned several times throughout the season is.  It's a bloody ship in the middle of the jungle!  How cool is that?  And how cool does it look?  Looks like a really old pirate ship.

The scene where Walt talks to Shannon and gives her Vincent is so touching.  I got teary-eyed with Walt's speech about Vincent taking care of him when he lost his mom and how Shannon could talk to Vincent about Boone.  Aw, Boone.  *sniff*  It was great to see him in the flashback.

On man, the Jin and Sun scene was so touching!  Teary-eyed again when she gave him the book she made of phonetic translations.  And what they said to each other, finally apologizing and kissing and making up.  I'm so happy for them and yet so sad that they are parting just as they finally found each other again.  It's funny how at the beginning of the show, you almost want Sun to be free of Jin but now, after we've learned everything, you totally want to see them together and happy like they once were.

Sawyer and Kate didn't get to say goodbye.  Sadly, their last exchange was not a friendly one.  Sawyer said some hurtful things and he looked like he had some regrets over it as he searched the beach before getting on the boat.  I'm assuming he was looking for Kate.

I can't wait to watch Part 2!!

Arzt: Yeah, I wanted to help and that was before Montand lost his frickin' arm.

Arzt: [entering] It's Arzt, you idiot.
Hurley: Dude, I thought you were dead.
(Lmao, seriously, if they made a Hurley/Arzt sitcom, I'd totally watch it!)

Jin: I have to go because I'm going to save you.

Loved the whole Jin/Sun making up scene!

5 stars! There were even better episodes, but it was great and besides my cry-rule become effective here! The "Exodus" episodes do have the same title here btw.

I know what you mean about people pop back up. Different than in Ouat nowadays...
Though I never got the feeling that Danielle wasn't important at all. So I wasn't that surprised, maybe just the way she appeared. Wow, you guessed Alex would be a girl only from that little hint? I never thought about actually and yes, I thought Alex would be a boy. I wonder if that's an important fact anyway.

I'm glad about Saywer told Jack about his father too! This was so emotional!! And above all I'm glad that he told Jack, that Christian was proud of his son. And guess what, was my first cry-scene in this epsiode as well. Sawyer is not so rough and heartless as he want everyone to believe. That's what I like about him. Rough on the outside, but caring on the inside. Kate will see that someday too. At least I hope so.

I liked that in this episode the Flasback scenes were showing several of the guys on the island. And I agree. They all were great! As usual. I felt very sad about the girl talking to Jack at the airport, as we knew she is dead now. Though we didn't learn much about her and the scene actually wasn't important for the rest of the show (or who knows if not), I'm glad they are showing us also such scenes. It makes everything more lively. Great show!

Geez, the marshal Ed Mars really was a bastard! Always this "what's-his-name" to Kate. I knew in the end she would stand up like she did. And I think the marshal just have fun at teasing her and being an asshole. But also I think there was something more about his and Kate's past, we will find out at some point. Anyway, I really think Kate's background story is more and more heavy. She did that bank robbery, where people came to death, only to get back the little toy plane. But don't get me wrong. I like her story. Actually I like all the backstories of the Lost characters so far.

Shannon... yah well, what shall I say... she's a bitch and a spoilt little Miss. xD I'm sure she will change, above all after Bonne's death, but still she's a bitch for now. I wonder if Sayid really doesn't remember her face from the airport? Maybe he does, but thinks she could have changed or deserves a chance aside from what she did in her past? Anyway I'm sure at some point he will know about her behavior at the airport. Could be interesting.
But at the beginning I seemed to have a wrong opinion about Boone, as I thought he would be kinda spoilt as her.

Yep! Agree as for the stuck up bitch sitting at the table behind Jin and Sun in their flashback at the airport. Though I think Sun didn't reveal that she's able to speak english above all because Jin shouldn't find out.

I love the ship! Reminds me of a ghost pirate ship, just like you said, Heidi. It never appeared to me that the Black Rock would be a ship. Looking forward to look at the inside of it and to learn more about it and why it's there in the middle of the jungle.

It was so neat that Walt gave Vincent to Shannon. We know he loves the dog so much, but thought Shannon would need him more right now. It's even more great, as I had the feeling Walt always is a little cold to others. Maybe I just think so because of all the flashback scenes with his father, which didn't went so well as for their relationship.

The Jin and Sun scene!! This one let my tears fell down! ^^ I'm so glad they came together again, but so sad they can't be a while together after found their love back to each other. Yah, funny isn't it? At the beginning I was so against Jin and now I actually like him, and above all like the two of them together! Maybe there is a chance I'll warm up to Sayid and Shannon too someday. The show also managed to get me to feel sad for Jack's father at some point. So who knows.

Sawyer and Kate! -.- But though they will be seperated from each other for a while, there went some points to the Skate team bank account. Both of them were searching the other so say goodbye or at least to have a last look before the raft will be away. Kate asked where she could find Sawyer and when they left for the journey into the jungle, she turned around several times, with a sad look on her face. 1 point Skate!
Sawyer either had a sad and disappointed expression on his face, when the raft started its way to the sea. He was searching for Kate for sure. And another point to the Skate bank account, my dear! BAZINGA!
But I feel sad about Sawyer won't be at the island anymore.
