|| Ragnarok - The end of Asgard ||
Surtur’s sword was coming right for her and she barely escaped it, her own sword cut right in half as it met his. He knocked her to the ground with a single blow and she landed with a sickening crunch. She looked up to see Surtur moving on, ignoring her existence and destroying everything in his path. She could feel her power draining from her, he was going to bring about Ragnarok- the end. “No!” She watched as he lifted his sword up and plunged it deep into Asgard, the ground seemed to shatter like glass. When he twisted the blade into its core, a scream built up inside her and released- never had she felt such anguish. With each thrust of Surtur’s sword, she felt closer and closer to death. Her powers were leaving her, she could barely stand but she forced herself up. Taking a single breath to steady herself, she made a break for the edge of Asgard and tried to ignore the pain. She took one look over her shoulder just as Asgard explode, dirt, dust, flames, all raced towards her- she took a final leap off the edge as the mass struck her. The flames burned her skin, sizzling flesh, debris hit her body, slicing through her like a knife - she felt her own fear. All went black. Asgard was gone, all that was left were broken, lifeless chunks of the once beautiful city. Dust, dirt, rock... Memories, If you looked closely you could see them dance across the stars, floating, mocking... || Short time after Ragnarok ||
Hela lay bleeding, burned, and impaled on a large mass of rock. She was near death and found it quite amusing, was this to be her end? The Goddess of Death, dying on a piece of rock with nobody to mourn her. A hand lifted to pull a shard of rock from her shoulder, she stared at it before closing her hand around it- a piece of home. “Mighty gods,” She mused before her eyes closed once again. “My Goddess,” That voice sounded too familiar to her, she had not heard it for many millennia. Was it him or was her mind playing tricks on her? Slowly her eyes fluttered open, she gazed at his face and a smile graced her lips. She reached up to touch and he captured her hand, holding it to his cheek. She wanted to make sure he was real, that he had come for her after all this time. “Thanos,” He held her close, keeping her firmly pressed against him. “They-” “Rest now, you need to heal.”
