Laura
Laura didn’t have time to get back to the head table, so she stood right next to the Ravenclaw table as the headmaster made his announcement, smiling at the excitement on all the children’s faces. A Triwizard Tournament was going to take place, and it would be incredible. Laura hoped all the students would be safe, but she too was excited to watch the competitions. They were putting in extra measures this year to ensure the students would be much less likely to be harmed, meaning she could relax, and enjoy the competitions like everyone else. And, of course, root for the Hogwarts team.

Carter
Carter looked up, at first listening with rapt attention, before realizing this didn’t really concern him at all. Well, it did give him a heads up that this would consist of 90% of the conversations for the next few weeks. Justin would probably try to enter, and this would be all that Drew could talk about for the next several days. Still, he couldn’t enter, and he probably wouldn’t want to. He’d mildly enjoy watching the games, but it was going to be all that the other students talked about. He had a feeling he was going to get tired of hearing about the Triwizard Tournament after a while.
He took another bite of meat, enjoying the flavor, and ignored the excitement of the other students around him. It wasn’t like it was going to die down anytime soon. Besides, he had that older girl to worry about, and school. And, of course, his … other problem. The one only he knew about. The meat was good, downright delicious. The only way it could be more so was if it wasn’t cooked quite so much. And if there was less of an excited buzz in the room.
(In which Carter doesn't want to admit, even to himself, that he's worried about his brother being a champion and getting himself hurt.)

Headmaster Ogden
As the excitement spread over the Great Hall the Headmaster walked back to the teachers table and smiled at those that remained. It would be an energetic year indeed. Marius turned his head to the side and noticed that Anya was no longer his guest. He supposed he should excuse himself and go find her. With a quick word to Professor Longbottom about taking care of the cleanup, the older man swept through the antechamber Ms. Novak had occupied and exited the far side to begin his search.

"For the Tri-Wizard Tournament returns!"
Donnie hadn't concerned himself with what the old dude up front was saying, I mean why would you when there was the buffet of ones dreams in front of you, but the news of the Tri-Wizard Tournament caught his attention. He recalled reading about it in a book... maybe... knowledge from a book... in Donnie... a comic book maybe, but heard of it he had and when the Professorish dude announced it Donnie's head filled with a vision of the fame and glory one could amass from winning such an event.
Hi ears filled with the mechanical chugging of Motley Crue's Kickstart My Heart while visions flooded his... er, vision. The Dok saw himself holding the Tri-Wizard Cup while a crowd of people gathered and chanted his name "Dok! Dok! Dok! Dok!" The crowd would be filled with photographers who would take pictures of only his best side (which coincidentally is every side) as reporters would ask him "Why did you put your name into the Goblet of Fire." To which he would joke "Personally I just wanted to slay a dragon." and everyone would laugh. This would lead to multiple endorsements of course, his own brand of ceral; Dok-os and a tell all book where he dishes the dirt on all his famous friends and a bunch of made up stories about his life in order to sell more copies. Visions of all the shiny cars, illicit substances, dirty money and dirtier woman showed him the somebody he could be. More flashes of the cost of his life of excess and all it would cost him until he was crawling on the floor drunkingly eating a hamburger until the rehab stints and a lifetime movie covering all his highs and lows all culminating in him getting a job at Walmart as a box boy packing away the last box of clearance Dok-o's that has long since past their best by date.
Donnie shook his head and looked down at Sho who had yet to stop gorging his face on the provided food. "Well... That got dark..." The Dok picked up his drink and offered a toast to himself. "Here's to living in fame and dying in flames."

“Well, why don’t you enjoy the feast, and come to my office afterward. Just so I can make sure it isn’t worse than it seems. But I think you’ll be okay.” “Tergeo,” getting the remaining blood off his face. “If you don’t come by later, I’ll come find you,”
Gwen beamed as Madame Ellis all but confirmed that she'd done the right thing. Of course, Gwen'd already known that, but it always felt good to have the approval. "I'll make sure'e does, Madame."
"Gwen, look!" Oliver's voice cut in. Catching his eye, she followed his gaze to where Headmaster Ogden had resumed his place upfront. Alone, she noted.
"Gryffindors, Hufflepuffs, Ravenclaws... Slytherins! We have something special for you this year. Something none of you have experienced but in text only. You will all behold a time honored tradition that will enthrall and entertain these halls once more. This year marks the return of a tournament as old as Hogwarts itself."
No...he couldn't mean...Gwen inhaled sharply as the headmaster confirmed her suspicions. The Tri-Wizard Tournament! Oohs and ahhs filled the Great Hall as the Goblet of Fire appeared, glorious and intimidating. Book descriptions had not done it justice, she realized, as blue fire shimmered over the wide stone brim. The headmaster continued and Gwen listened intently, though she was more than familiar with the tournament through several books she had read over the summer holiday after her third year.
"What you do not know is this year the goblet will choose teams from each school. Two students will accept this challenge in a binding magical contract. Sixth years and up will be considered."
Now this was interesting. Never before had the tournament entered teams. But more than that, something else that the headmaster said rang through her ears. 'Sixth years and up!' Her lips formed a wide smile and she looked excitedly over at Oliver. She would enter, of course, and was confident she'd have at least a fighting chance at being chosen.
The Great Hall was now abuzz with excited murmurs, most of the students not noticing as the headmaster retreated after the big announcement. Gwen, for her part, already had familiar daydreams swimming through her head from that summer holiday after her third year- ones that she never, ever believed would come to pass as the Tri-Wizard Tournament seemed permanently shelved after the tragedy of the last one. That was a sobering thought but, though the tasks were sure to be dangerous of their own accord, You-Know-Who was long gone.
Her eyes glittering and feast forgotten, Gwen spoke to Oliver and Carter over the din, "Can yeh believe it? Th' Tri-Wizard Tournament! What d'ya suppose the tasks'll be like? Are yeh thinkin' on enterin'?" This last bit was aimed curiously at Oliver. What a team they could make! They already got on well and Gwen knew that Oliver was fairly talented at wandless spells- something she'd yet to show an aptitude for. They would be smashing!
That is, if Oliver was even planning on entering.

Oliver
"Can yeh believe it? Th' Tri-Wizard Tournament! What d'ya suppose the tasks'll be like? Are yeh thinkin' on enterin'?" Gwen's attention seemed to focus on Oliver as her thoughts moved rapidly over all the angles. He had to think about that last one for a minute. When he thought she might explode from anticipation Burke finally answered his friend. "At any other time I think I'd be daft for trying. But with the right partner..." He broke eye contact with Gwen then. He couldn't say it. Not that it mattered either way since the Goblet would ultimately choose for them.
"I suppose I would be lying if I said I wasn't interested." With that a smile of his own spread across his face. The possibilities! The chance to put himself to the test. To know what he was really capable of. "I don't see why not. With the right partner I think I'd have something to offer, for sure." Keeping it vague Oliver turned back to face Gwen. "Teams... what do you think the Goblet might be looking for this time?" The question was directed to no one in particular. Carter was a thoughtful one and the older Ravenclaw would value both his companions input as he mulled things over in his head.

Still his back turned, Severus had listened to the headmaster's speech, though he wasn't really interested in it anyway. Once he has finished, Severus inwardly shook his head before turning away to leave the hall. Everyone was too busy discussing about the news to notice this getaway. But before he was able to search for some hints, the real reason he came back to Hogwarts, he had to refresh his medicine - just in case.

"At any other time I think I'd be daft for trying. But with the right partner..." Gwen raised her eyebrows as Oliver trailed off and looked away. Looking for the right partner? She wasn't sure if she should feel insulted or not. Who could possibly make a better partner for Oliver than herself? She tried to follow his gaze. Was that Gloria Lennox? She was a nice girl but Gwen was loads better than her in, well, just about every one of their courses. Even Potions. Maybe Oliver fancied her? "I suppose I would be lying if I said I wasn't interested." "I don't see why not. With the right partner I think I'd have something to offer, for sure."
When Oliver turned back to Gwen, he had a huge grin across his face. Yes, that must be it. He fancied Gloria.
Boys were very strange creatures indeed. She wasn't looking forward to the day Drew began to fancy lassies. He would be insufferable.
"Teams... what do you think the Goblet might be looking for this time?"
"Prolly th'same it always does. Th'Goblet knows talent but it also can see wha' kina person ye are." Gwen grinned at him, "I think we've a brilliant chance."

Donnie's morning had started out much like any other day, he woke up or put down his comic books depending if sleep was required or allowed due to party allocations and then stood in front of the mirror admiring himself... for a rather extended (and as some would call it unhealthy) period of time. As Donnie flexed his muscles Sho jumped up on his shoulder to do the same.
"When I walk on by, girls be looking like damn he fly. I pimp to the beat, walking on the street in my new lafreak." Donnie began to sing pumping himself up.
Examining his face making sure his stubble was even before fixing up his hair giving it that perfect fresh outta bed and I dont care look.
"I got a passion in my pants and I aint afraid to show it." This new line caused Sho to cover his eyes with his hands.
Donnie grabbed a shirt and gave it a sniff and after determining it was clean enough pulled it on. It was a dark green in colour and in huge big black letters read "FREE HUGS" and was quite possibly a size too small for him hugging his body tightly.
"I'm sexy and I know it."
Leaving his robes behind Donnie headed for the great hall where he strode in over confidently like he own the place and sat eyeing up the breakfast feast concerned by the lack of Red Bull to give him his up and go for the morning while Sho dove off his shoulder and begun to make his way through the food. Grabbing an apple and rubbing it on his shirt before taking a bite out of the apple with a loud crunch.
"...This taste like health..." Donnie said an uncertain look on his face.

Carter was still feeling on edge after his and Drew’s encounter with the older girl. Perhaps that was what drew him to the Huffelpuff who was eating breakfast. There weren’t many Ravenclaw’s at breakfast yet, and Carter didn’t want to be alone. Besides, Huffelpuffs liked to protect people, from what Carter knew of them.
He slid into the seat next to the older boy, wondering if he’d comment on Carter being at the wrong table. Then again, he was wearing a green T-shirt instead of school robes. It didn’t seem like he’d care too much.
"...This taste like health..."
“That’s why I prefer the bacon,” Carter agreed, serving himself a hefty serving of the meat, but also grabbing a slice of toast. “Do you want some?”

“That’s why I prefer the bacon,”“Do you want some?”
The kid had a point bacon was a universal answer to everything. Donnie looked at his apple, it was sad and seemed to promote some sort of relationship with doctors where as bacon, bacon was a ninja a true silent killer.
"Keep those kinda ideas coming kid and I may just have to take you on as an apprentice." Donnie said before taking a plate of bacon and stuffing as much into his mouth as he could at once. After cooking bacon someone liked to pour the drippings into a container for future use, Donnie liked to consider himself that container and envisioned himself in 50 years time driving himself to hospital after a heart attack as ambulances wont let you make burger stops.
"Mames oni, ou ban all me Ok." Donnie said through a mouth full of bacon.

"Keep those kinda ideas coming kid and I may just have to take you on as an apprentice."
An apprentice? What type of apprentice? Carter watched the older boy tear ravenously into the bacon, and decided that whatever he meant by apprentice, Carter wanted to be one. It meant he’d get to hang out around the Huffelpuff, and Carter already liked that idea.
"Mames oni, ou ban all me Ok."
Carter stared at him for a second, his face completely blank. “What?” he finally asked, realizing there was no way he was going to decipher the words. “I didn’t catch that.” Carter doubted anyone would have, but he decided not to mention that. He didn’t want to ruin his chances of becoming an apprentice.

Headmaster Ogden
It was a brand new day. And it was a full one but the Headmaster looked forward to every minute of it. He was having one of those moments where it caught up to him that he was where he was. This was a long way from his days in that little classroom on the second floor east corridor. He smiled at a few students looking his way as he passed along the Hufflepuff table.
Then Marius stopped. Right behind one student in particular having a generous amount of bacon while attempting to carry on a conversation. "Mr. Dokken, I am glad to see you are enjoying your breakfast so thoroughly. But as opposed to the previous nights festivities... It is customary for all students at Hogwarts to don their robes within the schools grounds."

“What?”“I didn’t catch that.”
Donnie swallowed his current mouthful of bacon, 'Oh yeah there clogs an artery' he thought to himself before going on to answer the answer only someone bet him to the punch. Speaking of Donnie poured himself a nice tall cup of juice while the person spoke.
"Mr. Dokken, I am glad to see you are enjoying your breakfast so thoroughly. But as opposed to the previous nights festivities... Our other students don't quit look so good out of their robes." Or at least that is what Donnie heard he could be completely wrong on this one it has been known to happen from time to time.
"Don't I know it but we..."
It was during this moment that Sho's head picked up and cocked to the side before he took off running out of the great hall. 'I feel you there brah.' Donnie thought to himself as his monkey took off like ...er a monkey outta hell... or worse a monkey outta bananas.

Headmaster Ogden
"Don't I know it but we..." Donnie trailed off, having given up on his sentence. Possibly on cue his pet took the opportunity to run from the Great Hall. The Headmaster merely smiled. Spinning just a little Legilimency often went a long way. Getting to the bottom of that statement quickly allowed Marius a fresh perspective on just where that remark came from. And a chance to add a few thoughts of his own.
"So that's how you see me do you? Shall we dig a little into your past exploits? What did and did not stand for your previous professors, those precedents apply to Hogwarts as well. There is a lot of potential within these walls." Images of recognition and glory surrounding the Tri-Wizard Tournament came rushing into the students mind. Flashes of those famous witches and wizards who had walked these halls. "But it does not come easy. And many bridges may be burned." As exciting as the aforementioned scenes could be, the ones that followed were equally bleak. Images of himself in obscurity. No chance of the renown to follow what the hard work and dedication Ogden alluded too could promise. "Shutting out what I am trying to teach you offers only the later."
Backing out to the moment they shared in the Great Hall, Marius smiled for the young Ravenclaw's benefit on the bench next to him. The Headmaster continued out load, "It's your first year here Mr. Dokken. Let's make it a good one." This was more for Carter's sake than anything else. The Headmaster turned, shaking his head slightly. He had to keep things like that to a minimum. They were... frowned upon. But after Kaeden he knew he would have his hands full and he needed to be strict if the occasion called for it. Marius did not have much patience for rabble-rousers. But he was no stranger to challenges. He would keep himself in check and take it one day at a time. That thought helped keep his good mood intact.

***Anastasia enters from Hogwarts - Corridors***
"Stop! Thief! Stop!" Anya didn't care or notice the scene she was making as she dashed down between the tables after the monkey. The bracelet was her only focus and she felt tears sting the back of her eyes at the thought of never getting it back. But thankfully, the monkey came to a stop in front of a guy sitting at a table and dropped the bracelet in front of him.
"Give that back," she said as she snatched up the bracelet and held it protectively in her clutched fist. Anya immediately rounded on the guy, her eyes flashing anger and the glossiness of unshed tears giving away the hurt. "Is this your monkey? Is this what you teach him? To steal for you? Shame on you!"

Donnie let out a high pitched scream as he felt and heard the Headmaster in his mind and Donnie tried fight him and show him anything else like an image of an otter holding a soft toy or anything but Marius was good, almost too good and swiftly swirled up Donnie's inner most thoughts.
"It's your first year here Mr. Dokken. Let's make it a good one."
"You're right, after breakfast I will get right on to accioing those robes... Maybe... If there's time..." Donnie shivered involuntarily "I feel a disturbance in the force."
As if on queue a loud commotion cut through the great hall drawing all eyes up from breakfast.
"I wonder if that's..."
"Stop! Thief! Stop!"
"Yup, that's Sho."
And as if he was being summoned Sho jumped up onto the table in front of him dropping a small bracelet on the table.
"Give that back," a rather cute female reached out and snatched the bracelet back "Is this your monkey? Is this what you teach him? To steal for you? Shame on you!"
Sho jumped up onto Donnie's shoulder as Donnie stood up looking down at the attractive new comer.
"First of all hi, name's Donnie." Donnie gave her a little wave. "Secondly no he's more like my brother. Thirdly again no I taught him to reverse all street signs, make all traffic lights green and steal everyones left shoe. Fourthly... Quattroly...like... Point D I'm really sorry he did that, I don't know why he would he's normally so well behaved." Donnie took a napkin of the table and handed it over to the women, Donnie would have to thank Sho for this later, best wingman ever. "Look I feel really really bad about this please allow me to take you out for dinner some time to make up for it it is the least I can do. Also lastly, point five, post script where ever I got up to, you have the most beautiful shade of hazel in your eyes."

"Mr. Dokken, I am glad to see you are enjoying your breakfast so thoroughly. But as opposed to the previous nights festivities... It is customary for all students at Hogwarts to don their robes within the schools grounds."
Carter jumped, turning around to face the headmaster. The third year hadn’t talked to him before; he’d never had to. Carter tried to stay out of trouble, and usually succeeded. Being so close to the headmaster made him feel nervous, especially since he was having to get after the Huffelpuff. Suddenly, Carter wasn’t quite as sure he wanted to hang out with the older boy. He wanted to stay out of trouble, after all.
"Don't I know it but we..." Suddenly, the boy’s monkey was running off, and Carter watched him disappear around the corner. Maybe he should go fetch the pet before it got into trouble. Before he’d made up his mind, however, the headmaster was speaking.
"It's your first year here Mr. Dokken. Let's make it a good one." Thank goodness, he was walking off. No one was going to get in trouble. Mr. Dokken, whose first name Carter really needed to learn, just had to change clothes was all.
"You're right, after breakfast I will get right on to accioing those robes... Maybe... If there's time..." Wait, was he really talking back to the headmaster? Carter felt himself shrink in his seat. True, he couldn’t be physically hurt right now, but detention wasn’t a great alternative, and if the Huffelpuff kept talking, he was only going to get himself in more trouble.
"I feel a disturbance in the force." Sure enough, the monkey came running back, as if signaling that his owner needed to get into more trouble. It dropped something shiny on the table, in front of Mr. Dokken.
"Stop! Thief! Stop!" "Give that back," a girl demanded, grabbing the object, which Carter realized was a bracelet, from the table. "Is this your monkey? Is this what you teach him? To steal for you? Shame on you!"
"First of all hi, name's Donnie." "Secondly no he's more like my brother. Thirdly again no I taught him to reverse all street signs, make all traffic lights green and steal everyones left shoe. Also lastly, point five, post script where ever I got up to, you have the most beautiful shade of hazel in your eyes."
Carter couldn’t believe his ears. The girl was obviously really upset, and Donnie was trying to flirt with her? Now seemed like the worst time for something like that. “I’m really sorry about him,” he spoke up. “The monkey, I mean. I’m sure he won’t do it again. Right?” Carter asked, kind of glaring at the other boy. Couldn’t he see that the bracelet was special for some reason? He had apologized, but Carter thought reassurances were in order as well.

Headmaster Ogden
Rejoining the conversation as he was unfortunately not more than a few paces away, Marius chimed in, "I'm sure your... intentions are well enough Mr. Dokken but 'out for dinner' is quite taken care of already, here, each evening." Marius then turned his attention to Carter. "I think you have the makings of a fine prefect in you young Sir. Keep up the fine work." he said with a smile. Finally Ogden turned to Anya. "My dear I hope you are finding your surroundings most interesting. Please feel free to enjoy some breakfast before we get you the grand tour. Come see me when you are ready."
He placed his hand reassuringly on her shoulder and passed her a knowing glance. "This is my... Niece. Anastasia. I hope you all will be as caring as you are with your fellow first years as this is her first stay at Hogwarts." With a slight squeeze the Headmaster dropped his hand and continued off to take his seat at the head table.

Anastasia stood staring at him, dumbfounded and speechless. She was prepped for a fight and got... a casual ramble with a pick-up finish? The last had her stiffening as her walls shot up. She was saved from having to come up with a response when the other guy spoke up joined immediately after by Marius.
“I’m really sorry about him,” “The monkey, I mean. I’m sure he won’t do it again. Right?”
"I'm sure your... intentions are well enough Mr. Dokken but 'out for dinner' is quite taken care of already, here, each evening." "I think you have the makings of a fine prefect in you young Sir. Keep up the fine work."
Anya spared the younger boy a twinge of a smile. Enough to say thank you while still remaining standoffish.
"My dear I hope you are finding your surroundings most interesting. Please feel free to enjoy some breakfast before we get you the grand tour. Come see me when you are ready."
Anya nodded in reply. When he placed a calming hand of reassurance on her shoulder, she relaxed slightly and when he added a glance in preparation for something he was about to say, she lifted a curious brow before fixing her features on one of casual indifference as she looked around.
"This is my... Niece. Anastasia. I hope you all will be as caring as you are with your fellow first years as this is her first stay at Hogwarts."
Casual indifference momentarily forgotten, Anastasia smiled at him before he headed off to the front of the room. She couldn't help it. She'd yearned for family that actually cared about her and even though it was just an act, she'd take it. It might be the closest she'd ever get to the real thing.
She felt the piercing of stares and the sound of whispers and in a minute flat, she could see that the news had already spread to the students at the farthest ends of the rooms. Casual indifference was back along with a stubborn raise of her chin. She started after Marius, pausing beside Donnie to return his napkin. "I'd sooner go to dinner with the monkey." She'd said it quietly for his ears only so the other students would not overhear and laugh. She was frigid, yes, but not cruel.
Anya hurried after Marius, calling his name as she neared and garnering a few wide-eyed looks at the use of the headmaster's first name. Well, hell, she was "family" so they could sod right off.
"Could I eat in that separate room again?" she said gesturing to the chamber to the left of the table of professors where Marius had been heading. "At least for today? I don't think I could eat with so many people staring and I'm sure I'll be old news by tomorrow," she quickly added in case he'd been about to say 'no.'

Headmaster Ogden
"Marius!" Someone spoke from behind him just as he had reached his seat. The Headmaster was caught off guard because he had not expected pursuit so soon after he had departed. "Could I eat in that separate room again?" Anya asked gesturing to the chamber to the left of the table. "At least for today? I don't think I could eat with so many people staring and I'm sure I'll be old news by tomorrow," she quickly added.
After a brief pause Marius nodded his head, "Certainly Anya, just a few last minute preparations to attend to and I will join you so we may get started. But its not all business today, I promise it will be fun." He waited until she had taken her leave, and when he was sure the other professors where not paying attention, before he let the smile take to his face. Attempts to avoid favoritism aside. Hearing the young woman use his name. It felt right. He wished so much that he could come clean with her. But that would bring with it complications of its own...

"I'm sure your... intentions are well enough Mr. Dokken but 'out for dinner' is quite taken care of already, here, each evening." “I think you have the makings of a fine prefect in you young Sir. Keep up the fine work." Wait, a prefect? Carter was stunned by the words. He’d never thought of himself as a prefect, he was just trying to help the girl who’d lost her bracelet. Whatever he might dream of, Carter knew becoming one would be impossible, what with his condition. He wanted to stay under the radar as much as possible. Still, the idea that he could be a prefect, if he wanted to, made him feel good.
"My dear I hope you are finding your surroundings most interesting. Please feel free to enjoy some breakfast before we get you the grand tour. Come see me when you are ready." "This is my... Niece. Anastasia. I hope you all will be as caring as you are with your fellow first years as this is her first stay at Hogwarts." His niece? Carter didn’t think they looked that much alike, and couldn’t help but wonder why the headmaster’s niece wouldn’t have come to Hogwarts before now. But, he supposed they must have their reasons.
The headmaster was walking off, and before Carter could register what had happened, Anya was whispering something in Donnie’s ears and leaving.
Carter sat back, trying to take in the whole situation, but that was a bit difficult. “More bacon?” he asked Donnie instead. For some reason, that seemed like the easiest discussion have right about now.

“More bacon?"
Donnie had envisioned his first day at Hogwarts going immensely different, so far it had royally sucked and he found himself longing for Mahoutokoro. There his groove was never thrown off and the teachers never rooted around ones brain without permission, clearly it was a British thing.
"No wonder we dumped their tea into the harbor!" Donnie grumbled under his breath. "I'm going to pass." Donnie said standing up while a saddened monkey nuzzle up into his neck "I'm going back to bed, try again tomorrow..."
And slowly Donnie skulked off leaving the great hall, it's occupants and mass amounts of bacon behind.

Carter didn’t catch the first phrase Donnie muttered, but he did hear the rest. "I'm going to pass." "I'm going back to bed, try again tomorrow..."
Carter wasn’t sure that was allowed, but then again he didn’t know if it wasn’t. Besides, Donnie was having a rather bad day. So, he did nothing to stop Donnie from leaving.
Instead, he picked up his plate and got up, deciding to move back to his proper table. He didn’t want to risk getting in trouble, especially since he’d be sitting alone at either place. Hopefully, Gwen or Oliver would get here soon and he could hang out with them. He’d feel safe then. Or Drew. Where were they? He glanced at the door, but seeing as that didn’t make anyone he knew appear, he sat down at the Ravenclaw table, alone. Someone would come soon, he told himself. She wouldn’t get him; she couldn’t. Not with the headmaster watching.

"Certainly Anya, just a few last minute preparations to attend to and I will join you so we may get started. But its not all business today, I promise it will be fun." She smiled at that. The anticipation of learning more about this world distracted her from the discomfort of so many curious eyes on her. She quickly disappeared into the antechamber for breakfast.

Dray of course slept in, so she missed the beginning of breakfast. She had spent the night working on her homework, mostly because she slacked off during the day. She spent the day, playing her guitar and hanging out with some friends. Dray was always last minute, but she got things done and did well in her classes. She never got a poor grade and people wondered how she did it, especially when she was up at all hours. Making her way into the great hall, she fixed her tie and danced her way down the isle. Her guitar hung on her back, her muggle music player in one ear as she found her seat. She paused to say hi to a few people, before grabbing some bacon and chewing on a piece. She grabbed some toast, jam, more bacon, a couple eggs and poured herself some juice. Dray loved her food. "Dray play us something!" Dray wasn't sure how that would fly, but she opted for something soft. So not to upset the headmaster and professors. rubbing her hands on her robes, she got up and placed her foot on the bench and used her wand to amplify the sound a bit. Not enough to echo all over, but a nice even sound as she started to play.

Darleena had been reading her text book for her potion's class, she had finished her egg on toast earlier. Now she was listening to Adriana Lopez playing her usual, always the heart-throb. Rolling her eyes, she decided to grab a piece of fruit and watch the show. Everyone seemed to enjoy it, even most of the professors.

*Lottie enters from the Corridors*
Music greeted her as the entered the room. It was such a pleasant way to begin a meal, especially after the absence of her Angel of Music. Lottie stood for a moment, torn between making her way to the Gryffindor table or going to watch the Hufflepuff musician. Heart won out over hunger and so she found herself standing amongst the small crowd that had gathered. She suddenly wished that she had brought along her violin. She didn't know the song but she was already seeing bars of music in her mind's eye.

Dray smirked and slipped her guitar back around, resting on her back. "It's my version of a slowed down muggle song, super into Muggle Music. Some of it's actually really good." She sat back down to enjoy the breakfast, grinning as The fat Friar came by to complement her. "Thanks!" She grinned and poured herself more juice.
