“If you’re so hungry, why don’t you eat that giant bag of yours,”, suddenly the man next to him mumbled.
Vanessa turned around with a start. To her astonishment the guy wasn't looking bad, actually quite sexy. Ok, but this was too early in the morning and above all to less of coffee for thoughts like this. "Is there any problem with you, Mister?", she replied with a strict voice, but not too much like the witch she could be. Men were allowed to take more liberties with her than women. Especially lame waitresses, who still were standing behind her and did nothing. A sparkle look fell on Gail. That Vanessa hadn't told her what to order yet, was blanked out for now.

"Is there any problem with you, Mister?" she asks and he sighs inwardly. This is what he gets for letting his mouth run away with him. He always has had a quick wit and it never fails to get him into serious amounts of trouble. For instance, right now he wants to say that his problem happens to be her at the moment, but that won’t help the situation at all.
“My problem is you.” Dang it! Did he really just say that aloud? Ugh. Sometimes he feels like he’s cursed to say the wrong things and let his wit get him into trouble. He’s totally about to get yelled at or something by the rude customer next to him. Well, at least he’s drawing her attention away from Gail.

“My problem is you.”
Vanessa's eyes widened. What the...? This reaction was surprising even her. Above all because she really had no idea why the hell this guy was so waspish. She indeed was such an ignorant person as for her fellow human beings, that she haven't noticed about her bag had hit the guy's side at all. Ok, so that was it. Sexy or not. No one is talking to her like that. "Who do you think you are, you cockalorum?", she hissed with now much more of the witch style she had inside.

"Who do you think you are, you cockalorum?" Cockalorum? Him? She’s the one coming in here being rude and complaining about everything. All thoughts of trying to avoid a fight leave his head as anger takes over.
“Oh, I’m just the firefighter,” he informs her, waving his hand dismissively. “So sorry to bother you Your Highness,” he says sarcastically, as he glares at the ungrateful woman. He isn’t about to let her just walk in here and make everyone feel bad with her terrible attitude and snide comments. If she wants to cause problems then he’ll deal with them. After all, his job is putting out fires. He is going to make sure this snob doesn’t cause the diner any more problems this morning even if it means getting into an argument.

"Thank you Gail. And don't worry, it wasn't a delay. You were actually much quicker than I expected."
Gail waited patiently as Archie shuffled through his wallet but a certain someone else didn't know the meaning of patience.
"Well, if it's not too much of trouble for you, I'd like to eat something before it's lunchtime, my dear."
Gail cringed, determined to finish this transaction before facing the she-demon. She quickly wished Archie's retreating form a nice day as a confrontation seemed to brew.
"Is there any problem with you, Mister?"
“My problem is you.”
"Who do you think you are, you cockalorum?"
“Oh, I’m just the firefighter,” “So sorry to bother you Your Highness,”
Cheese and crackers! she mentally cursed as she quickly dropped the money into the register and slammed it shut. She crammed the tip into her apron pocket, hearing one or two of the coins miss their mark and hit the ground in her haste. Was that woman incapable of not stirring up trouble? She took a deep breath and rushed over, grabbing the order pad and pen from one of the other pockets.
"I'm so sorry, Miss Bennett," she said, looking properly chastised. "I didn't wish to rush you in your decision and was waiting for you to beckon me when you were ready. I shouldn't have assumed it's the way you'd prefer." She kept her head down and eyes averted as if in submission. 'Maybe I should try out for the town play,' she thought to herself, once again turning to self amusement to keep her cool.
She glanced up, shooting a wink at Moe when she was sure Vanessa wasn't looking. The last thing she wanted was the possibility of raising his ire further by letting him believe the she-demon really was causing her to cower. She didn't like playing games but there was just no other way to deal with this woman. "What may I get you, Miss Bennett?"

Emma stepped into the diner and took a seat at the bar. The scent of eggs and coffee wafted through the air, and she noticed a few stares from the locals. Emma glanced down at the deep red apple in her hand, and shook her head. Her recent interaction with the mayor only strengthened her resolve to stay in town. Her eyes drifted from the apple to a newspaper left on the bar. The headline on the front page of the Storybrooke Daily Mirror read "Stranger Destroys Historic Sign - Alcohol Involved", and it featured Emma's mug shot.
Well, that explained the stares. Wonderful.
Emma had absolutely no doubt that the Mayor had her hands in this article. What the hell was wrong with that woman? As Emma brought the apple to her mouth to take a bite, she was interrupted by a waitress.
The waitress handed her a hot chocolate with whipped cream and cinnamon, "Here you go."
Emma stared at the drink, "Thank you, but I did not order that."
The waitress smirked, "Yeah, I know. You have an admirerer."
Emma turned her head and looked back to see Sheriff Graham seated at the table directly behind her. Sighing, she took the hot chocolate and walked over to his table.
Graham greeted her with a smile, "Ah, so you decided to stay."
"Observant, for a cop," replied Emma.
Graham nodded, "Good news for our tourist business... bad for our local signage."
Emma fought the urge to roll her eyes at the joke.
"It's... it's a joke," replied Graham, "...because you ran over our sign."
"Look the cocoa was a nice gesture, and I am impressed that you guessed I like cinnamon on my chocolate, cause most people don't, but I am not here to flirt. So thank you, but, no thank you," responded Emma bluntly as she placed the cocoa on Graham's table. It was better to simply lay out the facts for him, rather than let it drag on.
Graham shook his head, "I didn't send it."
At the table adjacent to Graham's, the voice of young Henry cut through the confused silence, "I did. I like cinnamon too."
"Don't you have school?" responded Emma, as she walked with Henry to the door.

“Oh, I’m just the firefighter,”, the guy, which sexyness seemed to change into an annoying grimace more and more, answered her astringence.
The firefighter... So what? It did make sense he added the word 'just', she thought with a disparaging expression on her face.
“So sorry to bother you Your Highness,”
"I'm so sorry, Miss Bennett,", the waitress suddenly broke in their conversation, if it could be called that way, before Vanessa got a chance to answer back. "I didn't wish to rush you in your decision and was waiting for you to beckon me when you were ready. I shouldn't have assumed it's the way you'd prefer.""What may I get you, Miss Bennett?"
"You, boy, seem not to know who you are talking with, firefighter.", Vanessa continued to the guy next to her, ignoring the waitress' question for the time being. She could wait a little longer for sure, at last all her customers had to like usual... Of course the guy didn't know who she was. Who would talk like that with one of the most famous actress of the opera?

"I'm so sorry, Miss Bennett," Gail says suddenly, breaking up the argument. "I didn't wish to rush you in your decision and was waiting for you to beckon me when you were ready. I shouldn't have assumed it's the way you'd prefer." She looks up from her submissive glance for long enough to give him a wink and his growing anger melts away as he realizes that she is trying to handle the woman. She is doing it much better than he did and he feels a bit ashamed of that fact. He really ought not to let rude people bug him so. People who look down on others just always seem to set him off. He needs to work on that. Maybe he can take a page out of Gail’s leaf and do it a bit calmer next time. "What may I get you, Miss Bennett?"
"You, boy, seem not to know who you are talking with, firefighter." Of course she had to just ignore the waitress’s attempts to calm the situation. But just because she did doesn’t mean he should too. He takes a deep breath, rolling his marble in between his fingers to calm himself down. He will ignore that she called him boy. He will ignore the derogatory use of the word firefighter. He will be civil. But he just can’t ignore how she thinks she’s better than everyone. Doesn’t know who he’s talking to? A rude arrogant woman who is somehow considered important by society and thus thinks she can walk all over everyone, that’s who.
“I do apologize for being a bit rude,” he acknowledges. “However you have been too and I’m sure you have a lovely job but it gives you no right to treat the rest of us like garbage.” There, a bit nicer but not backing down. It’s certainly better than his earlier comments at least. He hopes she’ll take it well, though the chances of that are probably pretty small. He sighs internally. This is why he doesn’t really like adult interaction. He should have just had breakfast at home alone today. Oh well. Too late for that. He’ll just have to try to get out of here without getting into a major fight. Wishful thinking? Probably. That doesn’t stop him from thinking it though.

Eva rested her hands on fists in wide eyed wonder even turning the volume of her music down so she could hear the outside world. there was a quality that she admired in Vanessa, there was a lot she held in distain but Eva loved how she held up a middle finger to the world and waited until it the world around her caved to her whims it was almost glorious, almost.
"Hey Gail.." Eva called out "I too would like my breakfast before I grow so old I need it put in a blender!" Eva gave a big stretch causing her hood to fall down revealing her long flowing red hair. "Besides I would like to have my breakfast with this show."

Gail looked back and forth between the two as they bantered, Moe attempting to defuse but the only way to defuse Vanessa was to just not attempt to. There was no reasoning with her. There was no getting through that thick shell made of ego and self importance. All you could do with people like her was to humor them.
To her right, the cook was ringing the order up bell and to her left, Eva was calling out.
"Hey Gail.." "I too would like my breakfast before I grow so old I need it put in a blender!" "Besides I would like to have my breakfast with this show."
Gail's looked over to Eva with a nod to acknowledge she'd heard and then her eyes flicked passed her to the diner window where she could see Ruby and Archie chatting outside. She could feel a crack forming in her calm composure at the overwhelming amount of hurdles piling up. 'Ruby, hurry back in and help me. Or bludgeon me with a tray. I'll take either right now.'
Gail looked back at Vanessa who seemed to still be ignoring her. "I'll get you started with a coffee, on the house." More like out of her own tips but a dollar and change was worth paying at the moment. She wasn't even sure if she was heard or if Vanessa noticed she was backing away. Vanessa had yet to acknowledge her, preoccupied with someone who dared not treat her like the diva she fancied herself.
Gail looked over to the red-headed spitfire again. "Coming right up," she promised.
She rushed to the counter, grabbing a tray and placing the plates on it, dropping off to a couple of people as she worked her way to the other end of the counter along with their check and the automatic 'let me know if you need anything else.' "Here you are. Blueberry pancakes, chocolate shake, extra whipped cream." She tore off the check and placed it face down at the edge of the counter. "Let me know if you need anything else," she said, still managing to keep a smile on her face.
That done, she rushed over to the coffee pot and then back to Vanessa. "Here you are. Fresh coffee, creamer and sugar," she said as she placed the items down. She took up her previous pose, order pad and pen at the ready in case Vanessa decided to order sometime this century.

Christian
**Enters from Christian's House**
With a brisk walk he sped up the sidewalk and through the front gate. He had hoped that if Callie was here already that he hadn't kept her waiting long. He didn't even notice Archie standing to the side with Ruby and Pongo let alone the ticking clock above the Library. Pushing the door open to the diner Christian stepped out of the cold and into the surprisingly busy interior. There was people everywhere and there didn't seem to be anywhere to sit. The staff was bustling by and a few people paced back and forth waiting for tables or a space at the bar.
Scanning over the patrons no ones face actually registered until the crowd seemed to part revealing the table were he and Callie and enjoyed each others company the morning before. That smile returned to his face and the tension on his shoulders subsided. Slowly making his way over to her he cleared his throat. Just wanting to get her attention he rose his voice just loud enough to beat the din but not lose its happy tone. "Is this seat taken?"

“I do apologize for being a bit rude,”“However you have been too and I’m sure you have a lovely job but it gives you no right to treat the rest of us like garbage.”
Now Vanessa gave him a seriously baffled look. She should has been rude to him? She even hasn't noticed this guy, before he made his snappy comment. At least this was what she thought. Rude and ignorant. Too ignorant to even notice where her bag went. Vanessa just uttered a bugged tone.
"Hey Gail..""I too would like my breakfast before I grow so old I need it put in a blender!""Besides I would like to have my breakfast with this show.", a girl's voice made her suddenly turn around.
An appreciative look appeared on Vanessa's face. This kid seemed to have some kind of bite. She liked that. Then she felt the waitress' attention back on her. Oh yes, she still was waiting. Obviously too incapable to care for her other customers, while Vanessa was talking to that firefighter guy.
"I'll get you started with a coffee, on the house.", the waitress lastly said and already went to bring it, well after at least some minutes. "Here you are. Fresh coffee, creamer and sugar,"
Vanessa wanted to start dressing her coffee, as she felt again the waitress' eyes in her back. "Some quiet to try enjoying my coffee for the time being, please.", Vanessa gave back with a roll of her eyes, throwing away the menu. She shouldn't eat too much in the morning anyway. Above all not until she performed as her new role - Ariel. Such a thin chit ugh. Without waiting the waitress' reaction, Vanessa continued ignoring her. Especially as a familiar face entered the Diner. It was... well, this coffee donating guy. Daniel? Peter? Uh, never mind. She saw him heading to a table, a young girl sitting on it. A thin chit.

The woman just makes an annoyed sound. He is a bit shocked but doesn’t press his luck. Gail offers up a coffee on the house to Vanessa, most likely to keep her calm, before going off to fill orders and get the promised coffee. It makes him a bit mad that she feels that she has to offer the lady free things to keep her calm but he ignores it. No use in upsetting the fragile peace after all. Instead he slips back into his musings of the clock. He knows he shouldn’t dwell on this so much but something just isn’t right about it all. He is brought back to reality when Gail gives the woman her coffee.
"Some quiet to try enjoying my coffee for the time being, please." And of course she says it with a roll of her eyes. Really? She is being given a free coffee and she sees fit to be rude to the person who provided it? Anger flares but he forces himself to take a deep breath. Gail got the free coffee to stop a fight and if he comments now that will be all in vain. Acting in anger never goes well. Instead he turns to his food and minds his own business, munching on his muffin and absentmindedly swinging his legs as he thinks on how much he should tip Gail for all the trouble he’s accidently caused. He owes her a lot, that’s for sure. Hopefully she won’t be too mad at him if he leaves her a good tip, which he plans to. Now he just has to decide how much to give her.

"Hello Ruby,"
It didn't take the quick look over her shoulder to know who was standing behind her. She just hoped that Archie hadn't overheard her. The well-meaning psychiatrist might want to know what was going on in her head and, honestly, there just weren't enough hours in the day for that session. Thankfully, if the doctor had heard her conversation with his dog he seemed to know not to acknowledge it as he continued, "I think Pongo's excited to see you."
She forced a smile on to her face, easily sliding into her traditional facade with a lame joke. "He was just giving me some pointers on signage positioning. Seems to have a knack for it."
"So, um, how are you doing?"
The question seemed a bit loaded. Ruby couldn't be sure if it was her imagination or if Archie had been standing there long enough to know something was wrong. Either way, she wasn't ready for this conversation and she quickly stood. "Doing fine. Little hectic with Granny just getting out of the hospital. Plus the crazy rush this morning..." She gave Pongo a last pat on the head and started back up the walk. "Actually I should...I should probably get back in there. Gail is a saint but even she has her limits."
By this point she was standing right in front of the good doctor. Somehow, Dr. Hopper always seemed to have the uncanny ability to see right through her bravado and now she fought hard to keep her face an unreadable mask.

Archie
Archie couldn’t help but notice Ruby tense slightly. She was trying to hide it, but he knew she wasn’t going to tell him the truth before she even opened her mouth. "Doing fine. Little hectic with Granny just getting out of the hospital. Plus the crazy rush this morning..." "Actually I should...I should probably get back in there. Gail is a saint but even she has her limits."
Well, if she didn’t want to confide in him, then he wouldn’t pry. He was about to bid farewell, and have his first interaction with Ruby without stuttering, when she walked up so she was standing right in front of him. She was close enough for him to see every tiny detail of her angelic face, and it took all his brainpower to remember what they’d just been talking about.
“Er … right. It does seem pretty hectic in there. Good day, Ruby.” He maneuvered around her, fumbling with Pongo’s leash so she wouldn’t see his face become the color of his hair.

'What a morning for a date...'
It was like a bad car wreck that you drive past on the highway. The more you try, the harder it is to just not look at it. That was how Callie felt about the argument occurring over at the diner counter. Her heart went out to Gail as the poor waitress tried desperately to diffuse the situation. How she wished that she could be of some help but somehow she figured that her signing wouldn't do much but aggravate the woman currently taking on both the man next to her and Gail's attempts at smoothing things over.
"Hey Gail.." "I too would like my breakfast before I grow so old I need it put in a blender!" "Besides I would like to have my breakfast with this show."
Apparently she wasn't the only one who couldn't stop watching. Callie would know that Scottish brogue anywhere. Typically she heard it at the pool, heckling the members of the community center's swim team. Gail seemed to be on fast forward, rushing around to please everyone. Suddenly Callie was thankful that she hadn't been able to secure a job at the diner. It seemed way too stressful.
"Is this seat taken?"
Her eyes snapped up to see the most gorgeous face that she had ever seen in her life. Christian had apparently snuck in while she was distracted. Suddenly, all of the noise and bustle of the diner seemed to melt away. A slightly flirtatious smile appeared on her face as her hands formed a response, "It is now."

“Er … right. It does seem pretty hectic in there. Good day, Ruby.”
He began to walk away and suddenly she wished that she didn't have to go back in. She wanted to spill everything, to have someone to talk to about all the crap and awesomeness and terrifying feelings. Kitt would listen, she knew that he would. He'd be attentive and adorable and say all the right things. But talking to an outside observer, someone not involved in the slightest, could clear this haze that surrounded everything now. Archie could be the key to unlocking the nagging feeling at the back of her mind that told her to hide who she really was.
"Archie-" she called after him, taking a few steps forward. But just as quickly, her nerve was lost. The facade was back and she fumbled as she tried to finish her sentence, "Uh, have a nice day."
Before he could respond, she turned heel and rushed back up the sidewalk into the diner.

Archie
"Archie-" He turned around instantly, recognizing the tone in her voice that indicated she needed to talk. He smiled encouragingly, hoping that would help her open up to him. If she needed to get something off her chest, he wanted to be there for her.
"Uh, have a nice day." She turned around and entered the diner before he had a chance to respond.
“You too,” he said to the closed door, before releasing Pongo from the fence. He sighed as he straightened, wondering why Ruby felt she couldn’t confide in him. Intellectually, he knew it had nothing to do with him, but he couldn’t help but wonder if he could have done something differently. Maybe then Ruby would have had no trouble letting him help her through whatever it was she was going through.

"Some quiet to try enjoying my coffee for the time being, please."
Gail gritted her teeth as she smiled at Vanessa in answer. Why did she bother with the appearance of congenial when Vanessa hardly every spared her a glance? As long as she kept her voice sounding cheerful and amenable, she could probably get away with making faces at her.
"As you wish," she said sweetly and as Vanessa was distractedly watching Christian, Gail stuck her tongue out at her before continuing on with her rounds.

Eva begin to eat her meal quickly, she wanted to get out while the place was still busy meaning she would have a better chance of dashing out without being stopped or caught. She had found that her heritage could play into her favor at times like this and managed to force food down like a bear fresh out of hibernation or just liker her Da and brothers when she was in a rush. Eva noticed Gail poking her tongue out at Vanessa and would have liked to call her out on it as a continuation of the show would not have gone astray but alas she had nowhere to be and time to kill.
After finishing the blueberry pancakes Eva downed her chocolate shake with extra whipped cream before hiding her hair away back in her hoodie and plugging up her ears with music. Quickly skipping out of her seat and scooping her bag up and over her shoulder Eva made a B line straight for the door to the main street successfully completing her dine and dash only to bump right into Ruby who was coming into the diner from being outside.

**Mr. Gold enters from his house**
Actually this morning had started like every other did. Mr. Gold had woken up alone in his huge house, watching an ordinary looking teacup, chipped on its side. It was positioned in a way, that made it the first object catching his eyes every morning. And like every morning he had a wistful look on it. It was some kind of self-punishment, but he needed it to start the day. It reminded him of what he had lost forever and that he never again stand back watching the ones he loved dying, even though he only got the message from the Evil Queen. But no, he was going to do everything to be with his son again, the only one left he loved. Anyway, though the morning has started like usual, something was different. The hint of a smile was laying on Mr. Gold's lips. Not the mischievous smile, he often had on his face while talking to the townsfolk. No. A sincere smile. Because this morning was the beginning of a new life. Of a finally approaching reunion. Bae. It has only been one step, but after all these years there finally was a change. The savior decided to stay and so did the time to go on.
Mr. Gold had a short look over his shoulder, as the psychologist, Dr. Hopper, passed him. The doctor either haven't seen him or more likely didn't want to start any conversation with him after the one last evening, though Dr. Hopper indeed seemed to look a little abstracted. Mr. Gold headed to the entrance of the Diner to get himself a coffee before opening his shop, still a satisfied smile in the corner of his mouth.
"Watch where you're going scarlet!", a red-haired young lady was nagging at Ruby, who had entered the Diner shortly before. Mr. Gold wordless stepped aside a little and made his way to the counter, surprisingly looking around. A self-mending clock seemed to attract the people like flys. "Is this seat taken, Mister?", Gold asked a black-haired man, sitting next to the counter in a casual way.

"Is this seat taken, Mister?" He turns his head and sees Mr. Gold standing there. Everyone talks about the pawnbroker with a sort of fear but Moe hasn’t actually run into the man yet and for some reason he isn’t actually all the scared of the guy. Sure he can raise the rent and always gets what he wants out of deals. So what? He’s just a man, not the sort of legend everyone else has worked him into. So while a normal person probably would have gotten nervous with this new event, Moe just smiles.
“No, you can take it,” he says. After all the trouble with the woman on the other side of him it’s nice to hear someone being polite. Compared to her, how bad can Mr. Gold really be?

Mr. Gold was a little surprised to see someone smile, while talking to him. Not this kind of a fearful smile everyone else had. Wait, he knew this face...
“No, you can take it,”
"Thank you.", Mr. Gold answered with a smile as well. A smile back to his usual. The mischievous smile of everyone's favourite citizen. "Pretty crowded this morning, isn't it?", he started small talk. It probably could take a while someone taking his order anyway.

"Thank you." Mr. Gold takes the seat next to him. "Pretty crowded this morning, isn't it?"
“Yes, it is,” he agrees with a quick glance around the diner. “I guess the clock moving has everyone stirred up.” And not without reason. There really is something fishy about that clock and Moe really wants to know what. A small frown slides onto his face as he contemplates the issue yet again. It’s just so annoying because it feels like the answer is right in front of him and if he reached out he could grab it. But then he shakes himself back to reality, watching Mr. Gold and awaiting his response to that statement.

“Yes, it is,”, the man next to him got into the conversation. But where has he seen this face before, Mr. Gold wondered, while the man had a glance around the diner. “I guess the clock moving has everyone stirred up.”
"Seems to be.", he answered, let his fingers stroke the ends of the menu in front of him. As the small talk seemed to be over, Gold again turned to the black-haired man. "I just wonder how this could happen after such a long time. I mean, it's like magic, isn't it?", he said with a chuckle, still watching his fingers on the menu.

The man responds normally and looks at the menu, making Moe wonder what the others fear about this guy. He seems nice enough. Not that you can really tell that sort of thing with just a few words but still. He can’t be as bad as everyone claims he is. "I just wonder how this could happen after such a long time. I mean, it's like magic, isn't it?" Gold questions with a chuckle. He frown again because magic is actually the exact word he would use to describe this phenomenon.
“Yeah,” he agrees almost absently as he swirls his cup of apple juice in his hand. That’s when he realizes they haven’t formally been introduced and he forces himself back to reality yet again. It seems like this drifting in and out of deep thoughts while in public is going to be sticking around all day. “I’m Moe Black by the way,” he says by way of introduction.

"It is now." Callie signed to him. As the young man slid into the booth across from her depositing a bag he had brought with him into the corner, it seemed like Callie had somehow been on his mind since their meeting yesterday morning. He couldn't put his finger on it but he had dreamt last night, probably for the first time in a long time and he could swear she was there. It seemed so long ago and he actually remembered the smell of the sea if that was possible. But it didn't entirely make sense Fry thought almost with a chuckle because there had been someone singing and a ship maybe? He had never been on one longer than a few minutes let alone owned one.
"Its so good to see you Callie. I suppose it must be a sign of some sort that in all this commotion we have the same table. I hope I didn't keep you waiting." He couldn't help but show how happy he was on his face that this was finally happening. Christian saw the menu in front of her was not open and hoped it meant she had just arrived. "Did you have a chance to order? I wasn't expecting such a crowd." That did elicit a laugh for a moment as he looked around the cramped diner.

“Yeah,”, the man answered briefly. Gold looked up, watching the apple juice swirling around the cup in the man's hands. “I’m Moe Black by the way,” Now Gold turned his eyes to the face next to him. Moe Black... At least he never heard of him here in Storybrooke, didn't he? "Mr. Gold.", he introduced himself shortly. There was of course no introduction needed as for him, but that were the terms of civility. "We haven't met before, have we?"

"Mr. Gold." "We haven't met before, have we?" Stephan looks a bit closer at the man, suddenly getting the feeling that maybe they have met before. But no, that’s just because everyone knows who Mr. Gold is. They’ve never actually interacted.
“No, I’m not out much,” he reveals the reason for them not having actually met before. “I spend most of my time at the school or fire station and I don’t owe you rent because the fire station is city property. Why?”

"Oh, don't worry.", Mr. Gold chuckled. "I'm not here for making cash. This place would be a bad choice for it, don't you think so?", he joked, alluding to the fact, that you commonly leave some money here instead of getting it. "My question had no particular reason. I just thought you reminded me of someone, but it seemed I was mistaken.", Gold added with a friendly smile, turning around to the counter and waiting for someone to take his order.
